I grew up with the Pokemon franchise since playing Pokemon Ruby on the GBA when I was like 5 or 6 but I will also stand my ground and state that the gen 5 games will forever be the best of the 2D games before the switch to pure GF went full 3D and I will treasure Unova's inspiration for being based off of the area I grew up in especially since my hometown lined up close to where Aspertia City is geographically and when I played B2W2 a few years later before starting middle school, I cried because it felt like I was the character and I started my own adventure from my own home and the nostalgia still hits me in the feels 14 years later
