the ties between neurodivergence and identity; why xenogenders are important
this is based off my own experiences, and what others around me have experienced. keep this in mind.
a main thing ive experienced as an autistic individual is a sort of “disconnect” from certain ideas and abstract concepts, mainly because i cannot understand or feel them in the same way a neurotypical person would. this mainly applies to common social constructs around me, and what is expected to be known despite there being no “why” to it. something to note is the fact that gender is a subset of social identity, which as implied in the name, is a basis of social construct. think about it, what defines a “boy” and what defines a “girl”? this is where many others concept of identity (and my own) becomes blurry. since i cannot fully understand my own social identity (what even makes a ‘boy’ a ‘boy’? what defining factors, how could i tell?), i substitute it with what i can understand. (i know what something like ‘space’ is. stardust, planets, and such. because i can understand what space is, and i feel a kinship to it, i can identify with that.) this is also the basis for many neurogenders such as autigender (when ones identity is affected by their autism.) by demonizing xenogendered individuals, and blaming them for systematic transphobia and ableism we often see reflected in transmedicalist ideals, we often are basically saying to neurodivergent individuals, “your identity is wrong and you have to pick one of these inherently meaningless labels!” which is very harmful to us. we cannot change what transphobes think of the community. by blaming us for “everything that is wrong with the LGBT community”, you essentially erase the validity of those who struggle with the concept of identity. we cannot spread acceptance within this community if we dont learn to accept those with uncommon identities and ties to ones own identity.

[ID: Drawing of a Naruto OC with a yellow rectangle in the background. They are sitting casually with their left knee up to their waist, the rest of that leg and the whole right leg are out of the screen. Their right hand is resting on their hips. They are slightly leaning forward while their left elbow is on their knee, and their chin on their left hand. Their hair is very similar to Kakashi's but it's lengths goes to their waist and they have a side cut. their eyebrows are like Kakashi's but thicker. They have tired eyes with Gai's lower eyelashes and their right eye is closed. They also have Gai's nose and skin tone. They're wearing purple eyeliner and have a nonbinary flag on both of their cheeks. They have a loose green scarf and white bandages on their hands and forearms. Their shirt is sleeveless and dark purple. Their arms are pretty muscly and, from the armhole of their shirt, we can see that they are wearing either a dark gey binder, or a tight undershirt. Their dark red forehead protector is on their waist, and their pants are the same dark purple as their shirt.]
They are beautiful!

[ID: Five pictures from three different people.
First: picture of a man holding a sign saying "give me a reason to live".
Second picture: Black on white drawing, in the style of the manga, of "smol Sasuke demonstrating how he puts on his romper". It is in four steps, his eye are closed the whole time in two horizontal lines and his mouth is just a dot. First he puts his right leg and arm in their respective holes. Second he puts his left arm and head through. Third he zips the side of it on his left leg. Last he stands with his arms open on the sides in a "proud of himself" pose.
Third picture is the same man holding the same sign except it is written "hell yeah"
From the second poster is the same drawing of Sasuke puting his romper on but cleaner and in color. The underwear he is wearing is striped white and blue.
From the last poster is a redraw with Rock Lee putting his jumpsuit on. He is very focused the whole time, his mouth in an M shape. At the last step, there are purple hearts around him and he is blushing the same purple. Under him is the word "SPLENDID" written in green. End ID]
People who laugh at Lee for wearing a jumpsuit shouldn't even dare to look at Sasuke in the eyes.
