My neighbor's youngest daughter, Kendy, needs serious help! She is a 19 y/o nonbinary latina and due to awful circumstances caused by her abuser, she is trying to get an abortion. If you've been with me long enough, you know the similar scare I went through in the spring, I'm doing tarot and tea readings (pay what you can) and @scarsofbeauty is doing art commissions. I want to wake up next to her with soft morning light coming in through the windows.

I would roll over toward her, fit my arm over her waist, and snuggle a little closer together under the blankets.

My head on the pillow behind her, I can smell her hair and the cool morning air coming in through the window. The warmth of our bodies under the blanket pulls us back down toward sleep.

I feel her relax back into me when I place little kisses on the back of her neck and top of shoulder and she rests her arm over mine on her waist.

I smile and take a deep breath

And it feels safe.
