Pretty Understandable Why The Ask Is On Anon Lmao Pls Educate Yourselves

pretty understandable why the ask is on anon lmao pls educate yourselves

girl..why are you making it seem like turkey hasn't done anything at all? although theyve been colonized, they were once colonizers themselves.

ottoman empire for example? or are you going to say that its "not real" too lol

1. We are not the Ottoman Empire. We are the Republic of Turkey. Ottomans were our ancestors, yes, yet we are not the same. Atatürk founded this country for a reason. We are not the same. We have our mistakes but we try our best to not become like our ancestors. At least that's what I do (Read this to learn our founder's instructions for the future Turkish youth).

2. Turkey did not colonize anywhere. The Ottoman Empire conquered a lot of places, they did not colonize like Europe did to America and Africa, if they did a lot of people in Eastern Europe would talk Turkish. We have common words, yes, it was the cultural exchange and other bad things that the Ottoman Empire did (such as Devşirme Sistemi, read this please, I genuinely think it's disgusting) But their doings were different, I can't support nor defend what the Ottoman Empire did back in the days.

3. If you're including the Ottoman Empire, we have to include many other countries, empires and civilizations who did bad things. I don't think it's a good idea to include those. If so then we should talk about Nazi Germany for example.

reading people’s dumb asks really angers me like literally j was watching batman now my whole mood is ruined😐people shouldn’t talk before doing a well research with the right. if we’re going to talk about turkey on the basis of the ottoman empire lets talk about germany on the basis of nazis or how britain colonized literally everywhere lmao so many more examples can be given. yall are so quick on jumping to conclusions don’t embarrass yourselves.

EXACTLY!

The fact that people speak as if ancient civilizations don't exist and we don't live in a modern world. "Oh Ottoman Empire did this, that yada yada" BITCH France colonized half of the fucking Africa, Spain colonized Latin America, Britain is the same. And don't get me stated on the European colonizing and fucking killing Native Americans, the stupid Colombus going to America and saying "Oh, this is India". I'm not saying "your ancestors are worse than ours" but like don't fucking bring mine when yours are fucking angels.

—somewhere i can’t follow.

Somewhere I Cant Follow.

warnings: angst. character death.

Somewhere I Cant Follow.

the stones were crunching underneath his soles as he walked, eyes set on the ground beneath him.

suna would be lying if he said he didn’t want to rush, want his steps to speed up to finally see you again. it’s been too long. he wanted to see your face light up whenever you saw him, see your eyes shine at him and see your beautiful smile. he wanted to hear your laugh and feel oh so mesmerized again.

yet his feet were dragging his body slowly to you, his knees getting shakier the closer he got to you. heart racing in his chest he turned the corner, sweat breaking out on his forehead.

tapping his fingers on the side of his thigh - a habit he had picked up in his early childhood that you had always noticed - he stopped in his tracks.

beautiful flowers decorating the stone caught his eye, a small, but sad, smile on his face as he crouched down. his brown hair clung to his forehead, his eyes sunken in deep.

when was the last time he had properly slept?

it was you who had always reminded him to go to bed, you who made him put his phone away. you who consoled him in those sleepless nights and you who threatened that you wouldn’t sleep either if he didn’t - a threat that was always effective.

yet now you weren’t doing this anymore.

suna doesn’t know for how long he stared ahead with blank eyes, throat dry as his mind raced.

he missed the way you’d make fun of him whenever he took too long to speak, calling him a nervous little middle school boy.

“hi” pressing his lips together he swallowed, licking his dry lips. he didn’t know why his entire body was trembling. was it from the cold? the nervousness? the pain he felt?

“i, uh,” he muttered, eyes cast on the dry grass surrounding the shiny stone, “i don’t really know what to say”

hand reaching down, his fingers grazed the grass, wrapping sole strands around his digits.

silence settled again, heavy on suna’s shoulders. he knew he should talk, he should say something, anything. he should tell you what he felt, he should cry out, he should yell out his frustrations, he should scream, no matter what, just do something.

yet the words got stuck in his throat, leaving him to only stare with sunken eyes.

and as the brown haired boy took in his surroundings - the cold stone, the dried grass and the wilting flowers in front of him - he could feel his throat tightening, instinctively closing his eyes as he felt tears welling up in his eyes. before he knew it his hands covered his pale face, fingers digging deep into his scalp as he gasped for air.

he was angry, so, so angry.

angry at the world for taking you away before your life had even started, ripping you away from your future, your dreams.

angry at you for leaving him behind to pick up the pieces, letting him sit there with the shards of his broken heart scattered all around him, knowing full well that you were the only person to hold the glue.

but most importantly he was angry at himself - angry for even being mad at you when you didn’t even want to leave him in the first place. angry for the guilt he felt every day when he woke up and for every second he got to see the world when you didn’t. angry how he felt everything around him getting more dull and boring - no color as bright as it was when you were there with him, no song so melodic as it was when you listened to them too and no drink as refreshing as it was when you were there to drink it with him.

you had left him and you had taken all the life’s sparkle with you.

“do you remember when we were kids?” he choked out, his voice flat, “you always used to run off and i always chased you”

suna shook his head, a nostalgic smile on his lips as he remembered your childhood. you had a habit of exploring places that neither of you knew, leaving him with no choice but to follow you and drag you home. “you never cared where you ran to. or where you ended up. you were never scared”

a sad chuckle erupted from his throat. before he could stop them, his eyes got moist again, throat tightening. “and remember when,“ he stopped for a moment, taking in a deep breath before he continued with a shaky voice, “remember when you told me why? i never understood why you ran off so i thought i’d i knew the reason i could stop you from doing it”

a silly and child-like thought, suna knew that. yet over the years he kept thinking back to this very moment. “you said ‘why would i be scared? you’ll follow me anywhere!’, didn’t you?” he shook his head, hiding his teary face in his crossed arms as sobs shook his entire body.

“and i said that i always would. and that was true, wasn’t it? i never cared where you ran off too, i was always right there by your side even if i knew that we’d get shit for it” memories played in his mind as he thought of those days, how you ran off into the woods, ushered him to come join you in the cold lake even though it would be freezing, how you convinced him to visit that abandoned hut in the middle of nowhere even though it was close to your curfew. suna knew that he always seemed annoyed at your newest proposal, trying to dismiss you with every excuse and explanation in the book only to come with you regardless because ‘someone had to make sure that you didn’t do anything stupid’.

“i was always right there with you because i promised” suna sobbed, tears staining his thin jacket. his pained gasps for air could break everybody’s heart. suna was nothing more than just a teenager, almost a child, and yet he had lost way too much.

“so why did you go somewhere i can’t follow?” any by-passer - if there were any at this time in the morning - would start crying with him, how could they not? the boy sounded so broken, so hurt and betrayed by the whole universe, the universe who took his everything away and now expected him to just continue living like you had never been there in the first place.

“why did you promise me to be by my side forever only to break it? why did you leave me behind?”

Somewhere I Cant Follow.
