Hello,,

Hello,,

My name is Ashraf Alanqar, and I am 30 years old. My wife, Widad Issa, and I have a one-and-a-half-year-old son named Bakr. We used to live peacefully in the Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood, in a house we built just a week before the war began. I worked as a farmer and owned a large chicken farm that provided for my family.

Beloved of my heart (Bakr)

Hello,,

Then the war came and destroyed everything. Our home was reduced to ashes, and our chicken farm was obliterated. We lost our home, our livelihood, and even our basic rights. We've been forced to move from place to place in northern Gaza, simply trying to survive.

Hello,,

The terror we feel as we flee from heavy bombardment is unbearable. The sound of explosions around us, the constant fear as we navigate through the rubble of destroyed homes searching for safety and food, haunts us every day. My son Bakr is constantly scared and suffers from severe malnutrition and skin diseases due to the lack of food, water, and sanitation.

Our beautiful memories.. :(

Hello,,

We urgently need your help. I am asking for your support to fund this campaign to move my family to a safe place, provide us with a proper home, and ensure we have enough food, water, and medical care.

Hello,,

Your donation, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in our lives. We desperately need your support and solidarity during this difficult time. Together, we can restore hope and safety to Ashraf and his family.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering my plea. Your support means more than words can express. Together, we can turn a story of loss into a journey of hope and resilience.

Maha Hussaini ... @MahaGaza Israeli aircrafts bombed a home in my area of refuge in Deir al-Balah central #Gaza a while ago. At least 5 Palestinians, apparently from the same family, were killed. 7:23 AM 7/2/24 From Earth

55s ago (16:15 GMT) Gaza Health Ministry says 25 Palestinians killed in latest 24-hour reporting period Israeli attacks in Gaza have also injured 81 people in the latest 24-hour reporting period, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. The ministry added there is still “a number” of Palestinians who are stuck under the rubble and civil defence teams are unable to reach them.
3h ago (13:00 GMT) Israeli army ‘determined’ to continue Gaza war, dismisses NYT report The Israeli forces say in a statement on X that they “will continue to fight Hamas everywhere in the Gaza Strip” and prepare for a war with Lebanon’s Hezbollah armed group in the north. The army said the Gaza war would continue until all Israeli captives are free, and the residents of northern and southern Israel can return safely to their homes. The announcement comes hours after a New York Times report, quoting security sources, claimed the army leadership wants a Gaza truce even if it keeps the Palestinian group in power for the time being. The report also said senior military officers believe that a ceasefire is the “swiftest way” to free the remaining Israeli captives in Gaza. “At least some tanks in Gaza are not loaded with the full capacity of the shells that they usually carry, as the military tries to conserve its stocks in case a bigger war with Hezbollah does break out, according to two officers,” the report said, with sources adding the army needs to restock ahead of a potential war with Hezbollah in Lebanon.
3h ago (12:30 GMT) Update on people trapped in Gaza City’s Shujayea neighbourhood The UNRWA planning director, Sam Rose, also gave an update on the situation in Gaza City’s Shujayea neighbourhood where civilians are trapped by continuing intense battles between Palestinian fighters and Israeli forces. He said that those trapped did not follow the previous Israeli evacuation order because they are either too old, sick or unwilling to move because “they had enough and prefer to die where they are rather than face another round of uncertainty”, he said. “The expectation when it started was that this would be over quite quickly but it’s carrying on – we are now, I believe, in day six,” he added.
ago (11:30 GMT) Israeli army justifies restoration of electricity supply to Gaza’s desalination plant We have reported earlier that Israeli far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich criticised the Israeli government’s decision to supply electricity to a sewage and water desalination plant in Gaza. The Israeli military responded by saying the move was critical for the fighting and prevention of diseases that may threaten Israeli captives and soldiers. It said the desalination plant would provide drinking water to Deir el-Balah and Khan Younis, where most of the population of Gaza now lives. The military added that it received permission to restore the electricity supply from the political leadership of Israel. It also reminded the public that “the eyes of the world and certainly the eyes of the United States were directed to the question of how we will handle the humanitarian and civil issue in preparation for the operation in Rafah”.
5h ago (10:39 GMT) Breaking Gaza death toll increases At least 37,925 people have been killed and 87,141 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7, the enclave’s Health Ministry says. Of those, 25 Palestinians were killed and 81 wounded in the past 24-hour reporting period, the ministry added.
6h ago (09:45 GMT) Israeli forces arrest 22 in occupied West Bank At least 22 Palestinians have been arrested in areas across the occupied West Bank in the past 24 hours, the Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Authority says. Israeli raids in the Palestinian territory have become a nearly daily occurrence since the war started last October. More than 9,400 Palestinians have been arrested in the West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem since October 7, according to the prisoners’ watchdog. Reporting from Ramallah in the West Bank, Al Jazeera’s Nida Ibrahim said the raids have been used “as a way to intimidate Palestinians”, including torture and beating. “They are blindfolded for hours, even 16 hours in the cold or in the heat, and then they are told ‘We have nothing on you’,” she added.
8h ago (07:45 GMT) Intense Israeli attacks continue across Gaza Here is the latest on the battles across Gaza: Israeli drones have shot at residents in Gaza City’s Shujayea neighbourhood. The area is also witnessing intense artillery shelling for the sixth consecutive day. In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli warplanes and artillery are targeting the northern areas of the Nuseirat refugee camp. Israel’s air attacks destroyed two houses there, killing two Palestinians, including a child. In southern Gaza’s Khan Younis, Israeli artillery continues to shell the eastern neighbourhoods of the city. At least eight Palestinians were killed in Israel’s air raids targeting several houses sheltering displaced people in the al-Fukhari, Qizan Abu Rashwan and Khuza’a areas. In Rafah, Israel’s warplanes bombed houses in the western neighbourhoods of the city, with artillery shelling continuing to pound most of the eastern and western areas.
