jannik sinner def. novak djokovic to keep team italy in the davis cup, after saving three match points from 0-40 down (25.11.2023)
I could get over anything as long as I have something new to be obsessed with
I can’t believe what I saw these couple of days
The guy was on a mission and he delivered
He deserves the world
The very first words when interviewed after winning the fucking Davis cup for Italy after 47 years were for his opponents and their supporters, then for berrettini, a teammate who couldn’t play on court but played a big role for the team on the bench and behind closed doors.
His sportsmanship is impeccable and his class is silent and loud at the same time
He shone brighter but he did not eclipsed the rest of the team, he actually lead by example and lifted them to the top allowing them to be their best selves
He worked so hard even after the match or the presentation finished signing autographs and taking pictures he did the all 4 sides of the stadium instead of celebrating like he could have or should have done plus all interviews ofc
He was gentle e never arrogant always humble and never took anything for granted
He’s simply the best Italian tennis player we ever had, he’s probably the best sportsperson we have now as he’s leading on more than just on a sport level.. he’s a model to look up to, of integrity determination and mental strength
Im forever grateful to have witnessed history in the making in front of my very own eyes screaming and chanting and holding my breath and losing my voice and ole ole oleeeee sinneeeer sinneeeer!!!
I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for this immense human being that is jannik sinner
And nope I’m not crying you’re crying 😭😭😭😭
