i love the idea of rin being so moody when hes jealous

like youre out at a cafe for quick little coffee and pastry stop, seated in a booth near a secluded corner. youre nibbling on your blueberry muffin, crumbs staining the front of your dark sweater you chose to slip on that afternoon, which rin thinks is adorable in the back of his head but he thinks hes sick.

sick because all he can think about is how the cashier made you laugh a little too much. how when he slid out his sleek shiny credit card to pay for your joint order you were giggling at something the cashier said. some joke since you both apparently had a similar interest after he saw a charm on your bag. logically he knows its nothing. youre allowed to laugh at someone else for gods sake. but in that moment he felt so ostracized it plagues his mind. and sure he makes you laugh plenty but he wants that sweet sound reserved for him. he wants to cage you away, save you for himself, never let you go anywhere unless everyone around specifically knows youre his and his alone.

your voice rouses him from his thoughts

"hello? if you dont answer this muffin will go right down the pipe that is my throat"

he wants to quirk a tiny smile at you but he feels stuck, drowned in the constant replay that was the cashiers attention toward you.

"its all yours" he replies, looking toward the window to avoid any eye contact

you pout because the response and tone felt off but continue munching your sweet treat, assigning the mood shift to the stress of a game

and youll never know how much the pit of his stomach aches from his own jealousy
