I saw something that got me thinking of VashWood as Orpheus and Eurydice. The demigod begging at the feet of the king of the dead. Pleading like no other man had. If he did, his soul would go back to the underworld, this time for good. Vash, overjoyed walked, hearing Wolfwood's steps behind him, but on the narrow bridge just before the light, he heard him slip. Turning to grab him, as he couldn't bear to lose him again, he grabbed at a mere shadow. Before his eyes - his silhouette vanishing, he was forced to watch as his love died again.
