My goal was to update tonight before the Muster, but I don't know if that's going to happen. 😭😭

I'm gonna try real hard to get it done. I was so excited for this chapter and now that I'm writing it, it's just not working out how I wanted it to and I’m unsure how to fix it 😅

Update!

So this chapter is proving to be tricky to write. It's taking more time than they normally do for me, and its turned into a MOSTER.

I wanted to post this weekend, but I don't know if that'll happen.

It's turned out a lot longer then I intended.... So I am having to rework it. My original plan has me halfway through the chapter at around 5k words.

SO I'M SPLITTING IT.

Plus work is crazy right now, I have no time.

Soulmate will be revealed soon, any last guesses???

FACE TO FACE

** 4 weeks later **

You steady yourself outside the conference room, the closed door looming in front of you. Today you meet the other members of BTS.

Last week Bang P.D. asked you if you would be willing to work with the group on their next single. When asked ‘why you’, his response was that Namjoon and Hoseok had wanted to work with you as well and they all agreed this would be a great time. To Which you ended up agreeing.

So here you are now, standing in the hallway, staring at a door. Terrified, not only of working one-on-one with the biggest boy-group in the world, but with your unknowing soulmate.

While rooted in place, you hear a voice behind you.

“Y/N” One of the P.A’s bound up to you cheerfully, arms full of snacks. “Are you heading into the meeting too?”

You can only laugh in response as she’s struggling to maintain balance, so you just nod.

“Do you need a hand?” You ask as you reach forward to steady her, taking half of the snacks.

“Thank you!” She smiles. “Let's head in then”

You follow in behind her as she walks to the large table in the center of the room. She places the abundance of snacks on it, which you do as well.

“Firefly!” Taehyung calls from across the room, making you look up. You smile as he comes towards you, enveloping you in a hug, to which you return.

“I’ll be right here the whole time.” He mumbles into your ear before pulling away.

You are just about to say thank you, when Bang PD enters the room followed by a couple of the other boys. You all take your seats. He starts talking about possible collabs, the next album and current promotions. You munch on a bag of chips Yoongi passed to you, trying your best to not let your eyes wander. Only allowing yourself to look at Tae, Yoongi, Bang PD or your chips.

Out of your peripherals, you can see him sitting across the room. One foot on the couch and the other stretched out to the floor. His attire being a white baggy long sleeve t-shirt, black and white track pants, and currently no shoes. His black cap rests on his knee, while his black and white shoes are thrown on the floor next to the couch.. The others are dressed similarly, so you assume they have dance practice scheduled today.

Tearing your thoughts away from his figure you focus back to Bang PD’s words.

Eventually the topic turns to the single, and you.

“Y/N, can you please come over here and introduce yourself?” He beckons.

Taehyung gives you a reassuring smile and a double thumbs up. You roll your eyes, attempting to keep yourself from laughing. You make your way to the front of the room.

“Hello. My name is Y/N, I am Producer Q.” You plaster on your biggest smile. “I’ll be working with you from now on. I am really excited about this project.”

You make a point to make eye contact with each member, leaving the worst for last. You turn your head to the left, looking at the loveseat placed against the wall, where you know he is sitting.

You steel yourself into resolve. If he doesn’t feel anything, neither will you. You make eye contact, nod your head and quickly look back to PD. He motions for you to return to your seat.

Planting yourself back next to Tae, he places his right hand on your knee, which makes your body relax.

“You did great.” He encourages, whispering into your temple. You breathe deeply, allowing yourself to fully relax into the back of your seat, Bang PD talking logistics and going over details.

As much as you are thankful for your twin flame's presence and the warmth from his hand still on your knee, you can feel it. The eyes staring at you from across the room. You’ve felt them since you entered the room, he hasn’t taken his eyes off of you. You have been avoiding looking in his direction, apart from your introduction.

You knew, if you made eye contact again with his brown, mesmerizingly warm eyes, you would lose yourself.

Right now it was about work. Not about this one-sided messed up situation, and you’d be damned to let an opportunity like this slip past you.

In my defense, they did come face to face. It just might not have been how you thought. HOWEVER, I am super curious about who you think it is. I've had a lot of guesses sent to me, and they've all been really good.

Lucid - sneak peak

Let’s take a sneak peak into the world of Lucid.

Pairing: Taehyung!BTS X reader? (*? Because we all love a little mystery😏)

Premise: What if this lucid dream isn't his? What if he isn't the only one brought here? What if she's the one deciding? Either way she never speaks a word.

“This isn’t mine is it?” Taehyung asks quizzically.

The girl in front of him scrunches her nose up and smirks, reaching out her hand for him to take. He looks up at her on the now still carousel, uncertainty and questions flood his mind. But still he takes it, letting her help him up onto the platform. The music from before picks up where it left off, coming from a source Taehyung can't pinpoint.

Hand in hand she leads him to one of the carousel bars. She smiles at him and Taehyung's heart feels warm. She slowly brings his hand up to the vertical bar, placing his hand on the pastel metal, her hand enclosing over his. Taehyung's eyes erratically dart around his surroundings as he feels the carousel begin to move with a subtle jolt.

His eyes land back to the girl. The girl who seems to know all the answers but is giving him none. She’s looking at him, she’s never looked away. Until he remakes eye contact. She looks down at their hands on the bar. His eyes follow her gaze.

Beneath his hand, where it meets the bar, there’s a faint glow. Her grip tightens as the glow becomes stronger and more vibrant.

Taehyung thinks he should be afraid, terrified of this unknown….but he isn’t. There’s a tender comfort, like this is something he should know.

She steps back, moving away, letting her hand graze his before she lets go.

Lights shoot out from his hand, small twinkling lights. They move as if they’re alive, with a Mind of their own. Almost like fireflies, Taehyung thinks, but there’s no bodies, just a bright core.

The lights dance around him, in time with the music. He can’t help but smile in bewilderment.

That’s when he feels it again. The pull. The carousel comes to a stop and he looks over his shoulder.

“It’s time again, isn’t it?” He asks looking back at the girl.

She responds with a smile and a slight nod to her head.

He takes a deep inhale and then exhales.

“I want to come back” he whispers as he closes his eyes and lets the pull drag him away.

Awoken by his alarm going off, Taehyung groans in annoyance. He’s had the dream again. Same place. Same girl.

He looked it up before going to bed last night. How it felt the first night, it’s a lucid dream. He’s lucid dreaming, but he’s pretty sure it isn’t his dream.

“How much longer are you two going to be? I’m tired.” A voice sounded from the back of the room where a body laid across the couch in partial sleep.

“Hyung— I tell you every time, you don’t have to come.” The tall brunette mumbled, while spinning his chair from the sound board to look at the other male.

You muffle a chuckle when you hear an unintelligible slur of words respond back.

“Taehyung, why don’t we pick this up next time? You guys are filming tomorrow anyways, so you should get some sleep.” You suggest leaning against the wall, with tea in hand.

“I know, but this song is so close to being done, and I just really want to finish it for ARMY.” Taehyung lets out an exasperated sigh, turning himself back around to face the monitors.

“ARMY understands that you want this to be perfect; what they won’t want is you stressing yourself out over it.” You state matter-of-factly; walking over to him and placing a hand on his right shoulder.

“You’re right.” He sighs again “As always... But can you check out this part one more time?”

“Alright. Then we’re calling it a day.” You say firmly.

Taeyhung rolls his chair over to the left so you can reach the set of headphones hanging on a stand. As you’re listening to the part in the track he requested, you lean over the desk to reread the lyrics the three of you wrote down during the recording session. The track ends and you take off the headphones, placing them on the desk.

You turn around and cross your bare arms over your chest, as you go to speak without looking at either boy.

“Honestly I think-“ you start.

“Y/N… you have a yellow balloon….” Yoongi cuts you off.

You look up shocked. As you make eye contact, you realize all three of you have the same shocked expression.

Your breath hitches as you instinctively reach over your shoulder to touch where your soulmate tattoo sits on your back.

“Uh… yea. Kind of random right?” You fail to play off with a slightly too nervous chuckle. “Of all things, a yellow balloon.”

There's a moment of silence before Yoongi stands from the couch and begins speaking.

“Do you know who-?”

“N-“ You try cutting off the question, but Taehyung interrupts you.

“Liar.” He barks, with an aggression laced in his voice that makes you jump. “You can’t lie to me, so don’t try now.”

You look away from your twin flame, chewing on your bottom lip, unable to face him.

“How long have you known?” He demands.

You take a deep breath, failing to come up with a plan to weasel your way out of the conversation. This is not one you wanted to have, ever. If only you hadn’t taken your sweater off.

Normally you’re more careful hiding your soulmate mark. Always wearing things that hide it, and leaving your hair down. You never wanted anyone to find out about it.

“Y/N” Taehyung warns, when you take too long to answer.

“I don’t know, like two months?” You exclaim, throwing your arms into the air as you walk away from your position against the desk.

“TWO MONTHS?!” Yoongi practically shouts in disbelief. “You’ve known for two months and you haven’t told him?!”

“Oh right, because it's so easy to tell someone, who blatantly says he wishes he didn’t have a soulmate and hates the whole concept of it, that I’m his soulmate.” The words rush from your mouth before you can stop them. “I’ve never even talked to him before. I don’t think he’s even noticed me. You get what that means right? Our bond is dulled because of his hate for it.”

“Trust me, Y/N. I know that’s what it seems like, but he doesn’t hate it.” Taehyung counters “He doesn’t trust it, he’s been used before because of it. People have used it to try to get things from him. He’s just hurt.”

“A lot of people have been hurt by having a ‘soulmate’, Tae. We don’t all choose to hurt our soulmates because of it.” You make your way over to the couch, not trusting your legs to keep you standing up.

Both boys stay quiet staring at you unsure of what to say to defend their friend without damaging the current situation. You interlock your hands, leaning forward in your seat.

“-Please,” You finally say, staring at your hands. “Don’t tell anyone.”

They glance at each other, worry evident on their faces.

“You have to promise me you wont tell anyone, especially him. He can’t find out.” You look at them, faces completely blank.

Your twin flame nods slowly, nudging his hyung to agree.

“We promise.” Yoongi finally says.

“Just promise us, that if anything happens you call us.” Taehyung begs.

“Ok, fine.” You nod. “You guys should go now.”

Yoongi and Taehyung grab their things and make their way to the door, both mumbling a goodnight as they exit the room, shutting the door behind them. You are left with the realization that your secret is out. It had been weighing on you for the past two months like carrying the whole country on your shoulders. However, the change and the panic that came with it weren’t something you were ready to face.

Leaning back on the couch, you stare at the ceiling and fall back into that memory from 2 months ago which you so desperately have tried to erase.
