UMINEKO: THE NICE LADY WHO READS TO US

Before I can wax poetic about how important this stream is, I need to say: this piece was a nightmare, and I did it to myself on purpose. I made this way more complicated than it needed to be and that's on me. However, I like how it turned out.

Folks, it's the last main Umineko stream. The story is ending, hopefully on a good note, and that is frankly unbelievable. This series has been really important to me for the last 8+ months. I know it's not really "the end", but something so regular in my life finishing is a big deal. So, I wanted to make something good for the last stream.

I tried to draw a portrait of Marcie a while back but didn't like how it went, and this time I still struggled in a lot of places but managed to finish it. I was inspired by Rosalina from Super Mario Galaxy and her storytime sections, even pulling the composition directly from that game. I ended up doing a LOT on the background, making new parts literally like. Today. That fireplace was a brand new addition made 9 hours ago as of writing. The outfit was made from your lil face in the corner from eps 5-7, Sadboi Alert's art of you, and some creative liberties for the skirt. I hope you like it!

I just want to say: thank you Marcie! You've shared a wonderful piece of media with us, added in some beautiful voicework by yourself, and created a warm, welcoming space for people to enjoy it with each other. The place you made was really important to me. It gave me my passion for art back, I made new friends, I was able to discover myself more easily, it's great! It's strange to think that if the first stream didn't run on so long, it wouldn't have been going when I woke up one morning, I wouldn't have gotten invested, and I wouldn't be in the same place I am now. I really can't thank you enough, and I'm sure I speak for everyone who's been part of this. We all had a great time.
