Standard guage engine diets Pt 1
(Cw and tw: animal death and gore)
Beast engines are known to be fearsome, brutally strong and bloodthirsty creatures. But they can be cute despite these. But what do they mainly eat? We all know they eat meat, but they aren't full on carnivorous.
I WILL however talk about the more carnivorous side first, mainly for standard guage engines. Standard guage engines are now considered the most dangerous animals to roam the earth, purely for their sheer speed and strength.

Their carnivorous diet consists of many prey animals, ranging from cows to deer and horses, from sheep to goats and even tiny mice and rabbits, and even chicken and ducks.
If they wanted, they could likely even kill predatory animals like bears, badgers, wolves and foxes. However, this hasn't been seen yet.
They can rip apart flesh with their paws and eat their carcasses's organs and even bones until the body is but an empty husk, then the husk is eaten. Sometimes, two engines may fight over prey, settling the score with pulling the animal apart, live or not. This is a good time to mention that they are fully capable of eating humans and will do this to them as well.
I should also add a bit about the narrow gauge engines; they are opportunistic hunters, and will find any standard guage engine that has prey so they can simply steal a bit of it, or ask the bigger engine if they are willing to share.
An instance of this was while Gordon was deep-throating an already dead cow into his gullet, it was like a snake devouring a mouse. Sir Handel came by, saw the cow and immediately grabbed the chance to try pulling off the leg. Didn't end well.
Next part will be about a standard guage engine's more herbivorous side!
