Sneaking into Fourchenault's office to ask him some important questions meant that Alphinaud was not supposed to be in there. To avoid being caught by one of his father's colleagues, he hides under his father's desk. Unfortunately for him, Alphinaud lacks some self control.

Day 30: Sounding - A Special Gift for Alphinaud (Mono/Alphinaud)

Mono has a gift for Alphinaud, to expand their toy collection. He needed to be able to sit back and relax, too.

Day 31: Your Pick (Incest) - Can't Study (Alisaie/Alphinaud)

Alisaie helps her brother out after he can't focus on his studies.

Trying to figure out the specifics of a fanfic is annoying.

Of course, I want Alphy to get pregnant, but in his 20s or 30s, post-growth spurt, and after establishing his life? That makes sense for his "I'm obviously responsible" personality, but...

Him going through a pre-growth spurt teen pregnancy is far more interesting. It would be intentional on his end, and I can see that falling into his "I am a responsible adult in full control of my life and I am very smart" childish and mildly impatient/impulsive behavioural patterns.

Decisions, decisions.

I love it when Alphinaud is completely oblivious to people being flirtatious or missing cues that people are in a relationship.

He'll see Thancred kiss Urianger and be like, "Hey, is there something going on between them or am I reading into it?"

Or Estinien will flirt with him and Alphinaud's blank faced like, "He's being really nice to me lately."

Boy, there's more going on than you realise.

Okay, I have a lot of favourite Estinaud dynamics, but one I love is Estinien not recognising Alphinaud post growth spurt.

Tataru is throwing a get-together party for the "former" Scions and Estinien hasn't seen Alphinaud in a few years. Now, when he walks in, he sees the most gorgeous Elezen he's ever seen in his life, just totally captivated by this person. But then he's like, "No, no, later, I have to find Alphinaud first."

He runs around for a little bit, but he finds hide nor hair of him. He gives in and asks Thancred if he's seen him. He's been watching Estinien search high and low, and he points to the beautiful creature Estinien laid eyes on before, shit eating grin on his face.

And Estinien’s like: *surprised pikachu face*

Well, he shoots his shot and they sneak off to spend the rest of the night together, alone.

I'm writing a mixed mind control–hypnosis kink fic for Kinktober and, holy shit, I made Alphy so smarmy in this one. Of course he's just role-playing, but I didn't think the little man had that in him.

So when Estinien and Alphinaud have sex—for the first time—drunk as all get out and Alphinaud gets pregnant from it, I'm still trying to decide if Alphy lets Estinien in on his getting an abortion.

On the one hand, it would mean a lot to Alphinaud if they were open with each other and Estinien would be a much needed stable hand to help him cope through it. Plus it would show that Estinien is, indeed, a very caring person, and not the total arsehole he reasons himself to be.

On the other hand, Alphinaud keeping it a secret because he knows Estinien regrets that night, he definitely doesn't want kids, it would be an unnecessary stressor, etc etc, could be some real juicy angst.

I'll figure it out.
