I need all the good vibes I can get.

If you see this on your dashboard, reblog this, NO MATTER WHAT and all your dreams and wishes will come true.
My Thoughts - TBOC title cards
There's a ton of discourse around this already, but I wanted to share my perspective on the matter.
The engagement and buzz generated over the weekend were massive. Purely from a marketing perspective, McReedus + Caryl are a goldmine. They generate buzz effortlessly and hype their audiences to the point of encouraging continued support—continued support guarantees viewership, subscription boost, merchandise sales, and fan art/fiction. If you can hook the fans enough, it can keep the buzz going for much longer.
The surge in engagement was a direct result of Norman and Melissa showing up for Carylers and making us feel seen and valued.
Them. Together. Equally.
As Carylers, we adore Melissa and Norman, and we want them to be happy with the show they’ve crafted together. We see them as equals already, but what about the general media perception?
Equal billing elevates both of them in the media. It amplifies the fact that they're both executive producers and lead actors of their show. It encourages equal coverage, equal treatment in the media and their work environment, and equal standing going forward into the show’s future.
And honestly?

They’ve both earned it. This just looks a lot better and more balanced overall.
I hope AMC has enough time to add both names to one title card, and we see their names together when the show airs on September 29th.
@kryptoniancape and I have more thoughts on the matter, and we plan to delve into them at the top of our next episodic breakdown on the @9lives2mics podcast.
This morning “Lori” is trending on Twitter. Guess why? The haters are putting down Lori and her relationship with Rick in comparison to Michonne and Rick’s relationship. They can’t accept that Rick may have had a loving relationship with Lori before Michonne because somehow in their minds, it diminishes Michonne.
The haters have a serious inferiority complex. Somehow, their own self identity is tied to Michonne and Danai Gurira’s success in her career. If you say anything about Michonne/Danai that’s not superbly flattering, you’re a racist. I’ve even seen on Twitter that they think Anthony Lincoln loves Danai irl and they have encouraged Anthony’s wife to commit suicide! They are messed up! They are putting down Carol/Melissa McBride/#Carylers because it makes them feel better in some twisted way.
We just need to ignore the haters and actually feel sorry for them that their lives are so miserable they have to put others down to feel better. Typical bully behavior.
This is my first time posting on here, but I want to share something I posted on Facebook on the Just Melissa McBride page.
I have thought about this and don’t understand, with all the important things going on in the world, why someone wants to attack another group about a TV show. As I said on Twitter (I refuse to call it X) I don’t think that #Carylers spend any time thinking about Danai, Michonne or Richonne. I think they are showing their inferiority complex with all their negative tweets about #Caryl and doing a poll about what they think makes us the maddest.
What makes me mad, and I suspect many others, is how AMC, et.al. treat Melissa McBride. She has been faithful to the show, and along with Norman Reedus, didn’t take time away from TWD that the writers had to come up with barely plausible scenarios for them to be away from the show. Think about how different the show would have been if they didn’t have to adapt the story to fit Andy Lincoln’s, Danai Gurira’s and Lauren Cohen’s career aspirations.
Melissa took a minor character, and with her great acting, turned it into one of the main leads in the show. Norman did the same. Rick and Michonne were intended to be major characters from the beginning. They are all good actors, but Melissa and Norman started at a lower rung on the playing field and thus displayed greater range in developing their characters. Did you know that Melissa wasn’t even in the opening credits before season 4?
We all know how Melissa was poorly treated about the spinoff. AMC treated the fans poorly too as they were not honest about what was going on. I’m not entirely convinced, until I see it, that AMC is going to treat Melissa and the fans right going forward.
Valhalla Entertainment said they didn’t mean any disrespect towards the character of Carol and the actors, Melissa. Of course they did. They wouldn’t come up with some exclusionary group to start with if they didn’t. What was the point of the entire article? To single out and exclude Melissa and Carol.
Ok, I’ve ranted enough. I just have to say I’m not holding my breath that we are going to get the show we want. I’m still hoping, though.
