In seven years, CLC showed fans they had all the hallmarks to be a top-tier girl group. Their comebacks had variety, catchiness, and style. I can't tell you the number of times I read "who's THAT?!" in a comment directed at a CLC member. Non-fans recognizing their talent upon witnessing less than a minute of it was a regular occurrence. As a Cheshire since 2017, I think they had one of the best rappers and best dancers in their generation. And yet, in seven years, Cube gave them:
0 full albums
0 concert tours
0 lightsticks
0 official colors
low restocks on their albums
roughly 5 years in hiatus, the last one lasting 2+ years
stolen wages
stole a comeback song after CLC recorded it and dropped hints about it to fans, selling it to a debuting girl group last minute
As Cube formally announces CLC's disbandment today, I want to publicly remind everyone that Cube ain't shit, that they've proven to be an unreliable company who repeatedly squanders talent and exploits members in MULTIPLE groups, to the point of public allegations of wrongdoing and lawsuits, and do so without shame. I hope everyone at Cube who willfully suppressed their careers find themselves without a pot to piss in.
Wishing the members all the success and continued support they deserve.
