my cat always comes to me when I'm sad or crying and doesn't leave no matter what , he sits there and cuddles up to me until i feel better , he hisses at people who try to come near me , it's really sweet

And he is up for adoption. I, yes me, really want a cat. My mom hates me & doesn’t like cats so she keeps making excuses to not let me be happy with a cat.

His name is Mark & he is the sweetest cat I have met in the shelter, he greeted me, followed me around, was super calm, & was super smart & came to me when I called him (not by his name). Plus he makes eye contact with you all the time. He is so sweet & perfect for me & my house hold

We have been successful in helping individuals from the Caribbean, Africa and Middle East where we have local networks to support and validate cases.”

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO HELP?

“The costs range as every case is unique. Sometimes the individual has the resources to help themselves and they just need information and support from us to make a move.  In these cases, the cost to Rainbow Railroad is staff and volunteer time to research and provide information.  In cases where they need financial support to get to safety, it costs about $5000 to cover flights and other related costs.”
