I've decided it's time to compile a list of my favorite fics!! It's not a comprehensive one because there are simply Too Many, but I'm getting as much as I can!!

These are all BNHA fics, and they're in no particular order- although there is a section for manga spoilers and for the... darker fics I'm reccing.

Each fic will have a little blurb a la me about the fic. I hope this helps at least a few people find some great new fics!!

All angst has a happy ending unless otherwise stated!

Each fic will have the word count, and a + symbol if it's a work in progress! (Fics that aren’t officially abandoned/on hiatus have a + sign the same as everyone else, so keep an eye out for that if you like fics with a guaranteed ending written.)

Making this helped me realize that I have a particular genre I'm fond of! (It’s found family/hurt comfort lol) I didn't hit every great fic I've read by every author I love, as that would simply be impossible, but I tried to come close! Believe me when I say that this was a labour of love.

Skvader by BelleAmant (@bnhaven)! Izuku has a bunny+rabbit mutation quirk and like his siblings Hawks and Miruko, is trained by the Hero Commison. Unlike them, he gets to go to Yuuei, and that makes all the difference. 111k+, hurt/comfort.

Vigil, Ante, and their Vigilante Antics by BelleAmant (@bnhaven)! Izuku and Hitoshi become vigilantes after life knocks them to the ground. 127k, angst+hurt/comfort.

Personality Swap Series by BelleAmant (@bnhaven)! One day during class Aizawa realizes that Izuku is a very talented author. Shenanigans ensue. 102k+, 26/33 works, mostly fluff with a bit of hurt/comfort for flavor!

It takes two to tangle by Withstarryeyes (@withstarryeyes), Authoress_Lilly. When Stain attacks Tensei in Hosu, he finds himself sharing Tenya's body with no clue how he got there, and he makes the most of it. 10k, angst with a happy ending.

Policed to Meet You by Authoress_Lilly! Quirkless police officer Izuku works with the graduated heroes of Class 1-A as well as some other familiar heroes, and they wonder why he wasn't something more; wasn't a hero. 6.2k, somewhere in-between hurt/comfort and fluff.

A Thousand Miles to Dawn by Authoress_Lilly! Tokoyami, Hagakure, and Midoriya are all hit by a quirk that sends them into nightmares about their past, while the pros in the real world try to figure out what's going on. 4.7k, angst with a happy ending. this one hits hard

“You have no idea who I am, do you?” by Authoress_Lilly! Hakagure tries on makeup and for the first time, she's visible. 4.1k, hurt/comfort

An Averted Catastrophe by Authoress_Lilly! Pro Hero Shinsou is cornered by villains on patrol, and is saved when a cat happens to distract them. 1.3k, lighthearted

Parallels by Afromaniiac (@afromaniiac)! Eijirou's always said that he'll never freeze up again, but he can't live up to that. Thankfully, Momo is there to help! 3.2k, hurt/comfort.

Net Neutrality Series by Teobot (@teobotfics)! Badass Izuku takes down the Shie Hassaikai and adopts Eri, and they run a cafe together, with Aizawa as their only consistent customer. At night, Izuku becomes Harbinger, informant and vigilante extraordinare! 84k+, fluff->hurt/comfort->angst with a happy ending. I've reread this series at least five times.

pick yourself up off the ground by Achievingelysium (@queenangst)! Management!Izuku sponsors Shinsou at the sports festival! 7.2k, hurt/comfort. Good friendship+interactions between them!

Between the Wind and the Water by Achievingelysium (@queenangst)! Todoroki and Midoroya accidentally swap quirks, and it's painful for everyone. 14k, angst with a happy ending.

A Hop, Skip, and a Jump series by MJBooklover! Izuku manages to trip into underground heroics and discovers that he doesn't want to leave. 3k, pretty fluffy! A super fun fic!

throw me a goddamn rope - just enough to hang myself with by mutalune! Aizawa time travels to when Izuku was ten and is accidentally adopted by the Midoriya family. 100k+, hurt/comfort.

Parallax by LunaLucrea (@lunalucrea)! An encounter with a pushy reporter leaves Izuku off-balance, and the next day in training, everyone realizes why. 22k, angst with a hopeful ending. feral izuku my beloved, i love this

When someone leaves your life series by LunaLucrea (@lunalucrea)! Two fics from alternate perspectives; Aizawa gets kidnapped and 1-A comes to his rescue. 20k+, angst with a happy ending

Razzmatazz by xylophones (@xyloophones)! Izuku becomes friends with his neighbor Yagi-san, whom he eventually finds out is All Might! Yagi-san takes Izuku under his wing and Izuku gets his provisional license super early! 168k+, hurt/comfort, also one of my favorite fics! One of 3 fics have downloaded

and now, the weather by xylophones (@xyloophones)! Izuku runs a spooky story podcast with his school and makes friends with Todoroki Shouto while researching a haunting! 5.2k, fluff.

When I Said Being a Cat Would Be Nice, This Isn't What I Meant by lostintheclouds321 (@lostintheclouds321)! Shouta gets turned into a cat, and Middle School!Izuku ends up finding him and taking him home. 18.7k, fluff/hurt/comfort. Very fun and sweet!

The Fool by lostintheclouds321 (@lostintheclouds321)! Underground hero Shinsou saves Midoriya Izuku and they start dating. Shinsou doesn’t realize that Midoriya is Deku, Number one pro. 7k, fluffy+crackish. I love it

Cat Days by GriffinRose! Izuku has a shape shifting quirk and accidentally gets stuck as a cat. Aizawa finds him (as A cat) and takes him home, and when he uses his quirk on Izuku one day as a hunch, he’s shocked to find a Human Child in his kitchen. Fluff ensues. 106k+, hurt/comfort

Cat Days Remix by GriffinRose! Izuku accidentally shapeshifts and gets stuck as a cat, and Aizawa takes him home, but his quirk doesn’t work on Izuku! There’s no easy out to get him human again. 18k, hurt/comfort with a heavy sprinkling of angst!

The Origin of Eclipse by GriffinRose! Midoriya Hisashi is a villain and when he brings Izuku to one of his business meetings, Izuku goes on the run and ends up a vigilante. Dadzawa! 130k, angst with a happy ending, hurt/comfort

red threads by cassiopeia721 (@cassiopeia721)! Izuku is quirkless, so he *of course* wouldn’t have a soulmate, except he does, two even! trying to ignore them doesn’t work out in the end. 4K, hurt/comfort

do you know me in the gloaming? by cassiopeia721 (@cassiopeia721)! Momo accidentally creates flowers at inoportune times, and particularly when she’s around Kyouka. 7.8k, mild hurt/comfort but mostly fluff

hold your breath as you cross by cassiopeia721 (@cassiopeia721)! Quirks are creatures bound to their people, but only Izuku can see them. Naturally, this causes some issues. 11k, angst+hurt/comfort

hypnic jump by cassiopeia721 (@cassiopeia721)! Izuku finds himself in an alleyway with a small girl in his arms, with no idea how he got there. He runs as far as he can and has some... adventures along the way. 7.5k, crack. Absolutely hilarious (overhaul is referred to as Chisaki-fucker at one point. I love)

Complicated Creation by Elemental (@elementalsight)! Izuku can see quirks and he helps the heroes restore theirs when they get hit by quirk-destroying bullets. Unfortunately this leads to them believing he's a villain. 112k, angst+hurt/comfort. the vibes are great

hero’s shadow by feelingstabby (@feelingstqbby)! Ho an underground hero helps an orphan Midoriya Izuku become more than a lost vigilante. 345k+, angst+hurt/comfort. Absolutely worth the read!

Poor Unfortunate Soulmates by MixerMonochrome! While soulmates are meant to share their pain 50/50, Izuku takes on the entirety of his platonic soulmate Eri’s pain. 4.7k+, angst with a happy ending

Full Team Rez by MixerMonochrome! Told through the lens of strangers on social media, a quirk goes haywire at the mall and the vestiges of One for All manifest alongside Izuku in the real world. 3.2k, crack. This is absolutely hilarious and I love it!

Identity Theft Squared by MixerMonochrome! In which Midoriya first pretends to be an underground hero, then they somehow accidentally pretend to be Shigaraki Tomura’s ’Sensei’. 13.2k+, angst but was supposed to be crack so...

The Fine Jar by BrightShadow (@inbrightshadows)! Aizawa is tired of Class 1-A playing off their injuries and introduces the fine jar; like a swear jar, but for the phrase “I’m fine!” 33k+, hurt/comfort and crack. It’s an absolutely brilliant idea executed just as well and I love it. Banana Mic my beloved <3

The World Without Me by Beyondtheclouds777! Izuku has a hidden quirk that only activates when he dies, and only works once; he’s revived after he watched the world go on without him there. 45k, heavy emotional angst+hurt/comfort. Really good

Of Twisted Arm and Bended Knee by Orkestrations (@autisticmidoriyas), Cornflower_Blue (@cornflowerbluewrites)! Aizawa temporarily removes Izuku from the hero course so he can gain control over his bone-breaking quirk, and Izuku gets kidnapped by Chisaki. 50k+, heavy angst with a happy ending to come!
