akua locs set 🌙

once again, happy april! im back with a very elegant dreadlock updo inspired by this hairstyle worn by akua shabaka (the namesake for this)! im not sure about the origin of the hairstyle itself but i used ghanaian (akan) influences and names for this set! this set also comes with 3 accessories that i frankenmeshed myself: the adjwoa hair jewelry (13 swatches, located in the right eyebrow piercing section), the asante cowrie shells crown (1 swatch, located in the right eyebrow piercing section), and the osram adinkra headpiece (24 swatches, located in the hat section). the headpiece can be used with either the shells or the jewelry (not both!) and it can also fit on other hairstyles besides this one! i wanna give a huge thanks to @yuyulie for helping me so much with this hair process especially with telling me how to do the weight paint for the accessories! im always grateful for them 😭🫶🏾🙏🏾 also tysm for @aestralia for kinda pushing me to do this hair because it was in my pinterest inspo board but i genuinely believed i couldn’t do it and yet here it is! i worked really hard on this so pls enjoy y’all <3

Horse Fish Tail

Needs Horse Ranch, of course. I took one of the mermaid tails from Island Living and slapped it on a horse butt. More specifically, I gave it the weight paint of a horse tail of course, but the textures, even the specular, are all from the original, made to look as exact as possible. No extra swatches. I made 3 versions, one is 1:1 the exact same as the original mesh, the second one, seen in the ingame screenshots above, is made longer, and the third one I manipulated the mesh a little bit to have some more depth to the tailfin. The animation isn't perfect, the mesh deforms a bit sometimes, but it looks fine. None of the other CC on the horse is mine. I can't tell you what it is either as I have basically every bit of horse CC I have seen. :) I attempted making body fins to go with this, but they kept breaking ingame so not now. Maybe some day I'll try them again.

"Neverland" Tail

This mermaid tail is one that I've had on the back burner for a while, but I finally got around to finishing it! It's inspired by the mermaids from the original Peter Pan and it's available for Teen-Elder, masculine and feminine frames.

At some point, I'll be converting them for children and they'll be added to the list of available child tails in my Expanded Mermaids mod! :)
