Day 4/100 of productivity:

• had a four hour lab at uni

was in a fight with bf, slept the rest of the day

Dauy 3/100 of Productivity:

• 1 hour of Python with SoloLearn

• 1 hour studied for Physical and Mechanical properties of Polymers Lab

Day 2/100 of productivity:

• 1 hour of Python with Sololearn

• 2 hours of German with DW + Anki Flashcards

Day 1/100 of productivity:

• 1 hour of studying python with Sololearn

• 1 hour of studying German with DW

• had a 2/5 hour online process control lab

Starting 100 days of productivity challenge today,,,

fuck dark academia

give me i’m fucking trying academia

- walking in to class 15 minutes late in a hoodie and sleep filled eyes but at least you’re there

- half a page of notes sprinkled with teardrops because your brain cannot function no matter how hard you try

- the little smile teacher’s give you when the notice you made it to class !

- high fiving your friends as you tell them you actually went to all your classes this week

- turning in an assignment a week late but feeling proud because at least this one got turned in!

- waking up an hour after you were supposed to be in and laying in bed staring at the ceiling for an hour 

- making yourself get out of bed anyways, getting something to eat and some tea before emailing you teacher and figuring out what you missed.

- endless to do lists of everything you need to make up

- scrolling through the studyblr tag for hours in an attempt to motivate yourself

- laying face down on the floor when the pile of assignments gets too overwhelming 

- shutting your laptop/books and crawling into a friends arms because it’s okay to take a break, it’s okay to get comfort

- the fireworks you feel inside when you see you managed to bring your grade up and pass despite everything

- you may not have gotten the highest score or turned in your best work

- but you are trying 

- and that’s all that matters.

its summer, ur finally with your best friend after being away for months. you sit outside a gas station with your popsicles and sit on the curb together. the air is hot and bothering but you both don’t mind. you sit and talk about spending the future together, and laugh about the present. everything feels okay when you’re together

its a hot summer day, and ur busy in ur garden. there’s the smell of honeysuckle drifting in on the breeze. the bees r floating past you, everything seems so perfect, you forget all ur problems. you know it wont last, but you’ll cherish this moment until its gone.

its 3am, ur up but not because u cant sleep, but because its so peaceful when there’s nothing that can stress you out. there’s a warm fleece blanket around. the quiet pattern of rain is faintly heard in the background. you have a cup of tea slowly wafting cinnamon-scented steam in ur direction. you can hear a cat purring from a chair across the room and the radio quietly lulling you into a thick, warm rest.

the time on the clock is 3:17 am. its right before you leave for a road trip home, everything is packed and in hte car, but you just have to say ur last goodbyes to the people you love even though you have absolutely no idea when you will see them  next. but you hear in the backgroun the car is starting and the aux gets plugged in as you begin the long drive home.

ur taking a shortcut home through the woods. you can see the light filtering through the trees and you can smell the nature around as you feel the crunch of leaves underneath you. you feel like an ancient forest deity with life in your veins.

WHY: Ok, I don’t entirely know what this song is talking about, but isn’t that kind of the magic with some Irish-influenced music? They’re all stories to interpret. Something about the line I slithered here from Eden just to sit outside your door makes me think of this evil snake the bible who is so in love with someone he leaves ‘paradies’ just to wait around for them. 

Hozier is a metaphor genius, man.
