There are random things that will hit me like a Buick with a memory of Uncle, or just missing him.

There's raspberries, like the raspberry row in his garden. There's cracked and yellow-stained coffee cups with bright floral patterns. There's rain on aged windowsills. The smell of newspaper flyers and instant coffee grounds.

I hope he knows we still love him.
