15 June 1944: Marines of the Second & Fourth Marine Divisions land on Saipan.
Character flaws for an anxious character
Constant worrying: Obsessively fretting over even the smallest details.
Overplanning: Creating elaborate contingency plans for every possible scenario.
Indecisiveness: Struggling to make decisions due to fear of making the wrong choice.
Social anxiety: Feeling extremely nervous or uncomfortable in social situations.
Perfectionism: Setting impossibly high standards for themselves and others.
Avoidance behavior: Dodging situations or responsibilities that trigger anxiety.
Overapologizing: Saying sorry for everything, even when it's not their fault.
Hyperawareness of physical sensations: Being overly sensitive to bodily sensations and interpreting them as signs of impending doom.
Catastrophizing: Jumping to the worst-case scenario in any given situation.
Need for reassurance: Constantly seeking validation or reassurance from others.
Rumination: Getting stuck in a loop of negative thoughts and overanalyzing past events.
Difficulty relaxing: Finding it hard to unwind and let go of stress.
Overthinking: Overanalyzing every word or action, leading to anxiety about social interactions.
Physical symptoms of anxiety: Experiencing symptoms like sweating, trembling, or rapid heartbeat in stressful situations.
Avoidance of confrontation: Going to great lengths to avoid conflict or uncomfortable conversations.
People-pleasing: Putting others' needs and desires above their own to avoid conflict.
Overpreparation: Spending excessive time and energy preparing for events or tasks.
Self-doubt: Second-guessing their abilities and decisions due to fear of failure.
Fear of the unknown: Feeling anxious about uncertain or unfamiliar situations.
Imposter syndrome: Believing they are not worthy of their achievements and fearing they will be exposed as a fraud.
My favorite part of rereading old books is getting to scenes where there are kits being all cute and stuff because you're just sitting there knowing that one of them is going to become a dictator or murder 45000 cats when they grow up.

Anyone who says Moonlight is not toxic has either missed the whole point of Tree's Roots, haven't read Tree's Roots, or is fine with sexism against males. Moonlight and the Sisters are 100% toxic toward toms and completely ignoring Tree's feelings about Stream dying while the Sisters cared more for singing for Haze (who was female) because Stream was 'always destined to return to the land and singing for him was unnecessary' before casting Tree away alone at 6 moons old despite his pleading to stay to learn how to better hunt and connect with the land better.
This is a complete 180 from how the clans live- especially when people try to put Squirrelflight and Leafstar into a polyamorous relationship with Moonlight. Canonically, Squirrelflight and Leafstar wouldn't entertain the thought to cast away any of their children or show one love to a specific gender more than the other. This is just my 2 cents on the met her because Moonlight is 100% sexist while Squirrelflight and Leafstar are not.

I feel bad for the twolegs that never get to see their cats again because they joined the forest cult

Jo and Roach, girls for a wlw short story about vampires and legal disputes in south Paris
back in my day you could have kits with a kittypet and have rouges join your clan on a whim and no one would bat an eye . now you have to jump through 20 hoops just to hook up with someone cross clan and every loner gets shot on sight. stupid modern clans and their woke mind virus
Something about Moonpaw holding "the stars in her paws" or whatevs.
Oh wait, wrong arc 🙃
reblog if reading Warrior Cat led you down the trans pipeline
Three years back, I created 13 alternate accounts on Discord and inserted them into my friend group over the course of a few months, pretending each of them was a new person. They have their own personality and typing / grammar distinctions, and their own fake life events and stories that I've had to keep meticulous track of. Some of them even engaged romantically with real people, though none in the present day. Nowadays the original friend group is split up, with some fake people being present in about each server that still has some kind of connection to the former group. One active group chat even has six alts and one real person. I literally have to keep this up like a puppetmaster because these pretend people have real, important connections to people I still care about. It's hard but I literally don't know how to resolve or change the situation without causing a wave of dispair and destruction in one way or another.

nightcloud & sorreltail
can we just accept that most of the old characters are dead. they are not the same. they live too long to be like they used to. they are just empty shells of what they were. and their shadows don't let the new characters shine.
the plot just keep on circling around cats with same names.

You know what else the Erin's can't write to save their lives? Adoption.
The moment a characters blood relatives show up/are important to the plot suddenly the adoptive family doesn't exist anymore, the character no longer cares for them, or the family become abusive.
I understand that adoption is trauma, but you can have trauma while still being loved, cared for, and seeing the people who raised you as family of some kind.
I hate how it's written, I hate how little care and thought is put into it, I hate how easy it is for character on all sides to just abandon one a other the moment things change. It's so infuriating.
It's even worse when the fandom does it. Just erasing a characters adoptive family or turning them abusive to fit their personal headcannons, aus, or trying to make it seem cannon when it's not. It makes me so upset.
People can care about others in a familiar way without being blood.

Listen. defense of squilf, she is NOT being out of character or whatever in a starless clan,, she has NOBODY anymore like her sister and parents are fucking dead her mate fucking sucks and is retired and her kits dont talk to her anymore and like?? no wonder she is more careful with her leadership because unnecessary war can mean losing WHAT CATS SHE HAS LEFT IN HER LIFE. SHE HAS SUFFERED ENOUGH!!!! .she is chosing to not take action yet against splashtail because she is WAITING TO SEE WHEN WOULD BE THE PERFECT TIME. going to war rn would mean DEATH for cats. she has to wait until riverclan lose loyalty to splashtail so the battle deaths are lower. ffs this fandom!!!.

kindly go find them and bring them back after 2 journey books generic firestar kin protagonist #87
.
I am now caught up on Warriors.
My complaint is why is Firestar’s lineage now holding all the high ranking positions in ThunderClan. Squirrelstar, Ivypool, Alderheart, Jayfeather, etc.
I love these characters but… fuck, man… I hate the nepotism and wish new blood was brought into the Clan. I’m tired of Firestar this Firestar that. Even Nightheart is fucking related to him and has his story going on where he’s like I’m nothing like this dude.
I am begging the Erins to kill off a lot of cats and bring in new ones.

Skywing Gladiator Helmet concepts: Part 1
Part 2 ⬅️ more designs
To me, the Skywing arena was the most memorable parts of the first book, and I liked the idea of Scarlet having consistent champions outside of prisoners, like Peril, that were used as actual fighters. Similar to the Roman colosseum’s style of fighting.
With how extravagant Scarlet’s punishments, hatching day, etc. are described, (she loves her bloody entertainment & fan fair). There’s no way she’d allow for her champions to go undecorated in the arena. Additionally, Skywings are implied to be the most battle experienced tribe, so they should have armor that reflects this sentiment.
Aside from the lore drop, I absolutely love rendering metal & armor, this was just an excuse for me to do that lol. It’s very interesting trying to fit helmets to dragon anatomy opposed to human anatomy. Gotta accommodate for horns, ears, and the snout. Really cool learning how to work around it!
Skywing average measurements/head base for helmets:
Tribe Banner concept art:
Folks seemed to enjoy my WOF WIPS, so here’s more concept art for y’all! My favorite thing about WOF is the potential for world building. I thought it’d be cool to see a tribe emblem represented on a banner/flag of sorts:
Read below for some of the thought process / headcannons behind the design choices: 👇
Skywing Banner:
Skywings pride themselves on 3 things; treasure, fire, & their enormous, soaring wingspan which steals the sky.
As such, portrayed on the banner, the fabric (often made with dyed cow or goat leathers) resembles draped dragon wings. Two Skywings embrace a goblet, which is spewing golden fire.
The banner is often held aloft with iron or gold poles, signifying to other tribes their wealth and pride.
Mudwing banner:
These banners are fashioned with leather hides from cow or crocodile skin, held aloft with bamboo, and painted with a Talon-print & Reed crest.
The talonprint symbolizes community and the strength of Mudwing sibling bonds. The reed border unifies all Mudwings regardless of their relationship to home; the swamp. Bigwings are often seen carrying these into battle, signifing their status and making it easier for a sib to locate them in the flurry of a fight.
Sandwing Banner:
Sandwing flags are made with camel skins and dyed cactus leather.
A crest shows a Sandwing coiled around a beaming sun, a reminder that despite the revered 3 moons, Sandwings are born to thrive in sunlight.
The fabric is cut in a way to mimic the swooping dunes of Sandwing territory. And the poles of the flags are equally intricate, with scorpion tails and golden ropes which frame the banner.
These flags make prominent appearances in parades, festivals, and markets, and even miniature version are often displayed in homes or as tapestries/carpets.
Seawing banner:
These banners are often seen displayed in royal quarters or councils, or above land to mark territory.
A nautilus shell crest on front echoes the swirl-pattern associated with royal Seawings: The banner’s borders resemble waves and a dragon swimming beneath their surface.
These are crafted with rich materials, strung with seashells, pearls, silver dollars, and deep oceanic color fabric. There is severe penalty for Seawings found plucking treasure from the banners, as they are a direct symbol of royalty.
Nightwing Banner:
These banners emphasize the Nightwings’ relationship to the moon, their source of power and praise. The material, a contrast of white stitching against purple velvet showcases moonlight and night, black scales against stars, magic and mystery.
They are seen decorated with 3 moons at the top and a centered dragon reaching up into the night sky.
These banners were often used during the war as secret code by spies to deliver to other tribes. Prophecy scrolls often came attached, delivering cryptic messages or secrets in the night. These banners all helped add to the secrecy of the Dragonet Prophecy, and kept tribes on their toes around Nightwings.
Rainwing banner:
Rainwing banners are not used for battle purposes like other tribes, most are mere decoration, location indicators, and have no unified design.
However, It is said back when Rainwings left the rainforest to trade pre-war, this particular banner design was often raised above Rainwing merchant tables, and showcases the coiled tail of a Rainwing with leaves, vines, and other sights from the rainforest adorning a bamboo pole. Bright color combinations accentuated the flag to entice curious customers.
Now, only one tattered version of the original Rainwing banner remains, displayed proudly in Queen Glory’s quarters, a reminder that building the Rainwings’ community is their most important goal.
Icewing Banner:
These banners reflect the same standards Icewings hold themselves to.
Like a visual of the rankings themselves, each banner is cut perfectly from an Icewing’s trained, serrated claws to resemble icicles, and crafted with fine blue stitching.
Flags are often held aloft with perfectly polished narwhal horn or bone, and can be inlaid with sapphires or diamond.
Icewing soldiers are often gifted these during ceremonies, and perform training exercises with the flags to test their stance/attentiveness. The crest showcases the swift sharpness of ice through a flying dragon, and a snowflake toward the bottom reminding Icewings that even minuscule snowflakes, small things, should be perfect in form.
