My cat was loafed on my chest and purring, perfectly content, before just.. launching herself across the room and shoving her face in a pile of balloons.

Now, I've had these balloons for almost a year. They used to be helium, but are now all shrivelled and weird. Not the point. The point was that she'd never done this before.

I picked her up and moved her, and she went straight back to the balloons. I figured "aight, it's probably a spider or something, and I should catch + release it before Missy tries to eat it" so I lift up the balloons. There's nothing there. This repeats a few times until, finally, I decide to shake them.

Lo and behold, a cricket appears.

The moral of this story is that it is VERY DIFFICULT to stop two cats from fighting, killing, and possibly eating a cricket whilst also frantically searching for a cup and paper to catch it in.
