I have a Luke headcanon I want to share with you >:) (This is so much longer than I meant it to be. I'm so sorry).

So, he's great at fixing antiques, right? He can get just about any part, and if he can't, he always knows a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy. Now, someone in the NSB would NOT have enough spare time to learn all that and make all these connections. I don't know if it was ever explained how he got into antiques or met so many people, but I have an idea.

Rosa is crazy important to him, yeah? Even when he was away for 8 years, he always kept the camera filled with photos of her. Given that Stellis is some place in the future and Luke's camera already looks old to me by today's standards (though I have very little camera knowledge), it's basically an antique in and of itself.

So here's my theory: One day, while Luke is away from Stellis, the camera breaks.

Luke would probably be super stressed about this, running around trying to find the parts to fix it (and trying to learn HOW to fix it, too). I think that's how he got into antiques and met so many people willing to sell extra old/rare parts for repairs.

im so in love with luke learning how to repair antiques in a frenzied panic of networking and "aaAAAA HOW DO I GETIT BACK" HJDFKHDF. it would also be super sweet if that camera was somehow also from mc somehow, like it was one of her bday gifts to him when they were teens. maybe luke had had an interest in antiques before she gifted him the camera, which made the camera more special because his first ever antique came from her ;w;

im also endlessly endeared by luke learning his contacts like this cuz im imagining a bunch of more elderly antique enthusiasts wondering why this puppy looking teenager is so frantic about his camera, then he fesses that there are Very Precious Photos in it and theyre all like AAAWWWWW and they teach him the tricks of the trade and eventually learn about mc along the way because luke? not talk about her? impossible. in the birthday event luke also said “well it’s better to be obedient than to be polite” (i think this is when the mc wants to buy him lunch bc he bought the entire office food) so like, he really is the most submissive and breedable person in the entire universe
