Got inspired to finish this sketch up shout out to Sachin Teng for inspiring me over the last 7 years 

In my head I always picture Valjean with brown eyes and Javert with blue eyes.

For Valjean it's because brown is a warm color that I associate with earth and home and it fits his character so well.

And for Javert because I can't stop thinking about this post

I’ve just finished watching Shoujo Cosette and I want to say how good this anime was!! in so many aspects! 

one of the finest adaptation of Les Mis I saw despite a few understandable changes in order to give children a story about the suffering and injustice of society but with hope still and love and goodness; but, because I’m still crying over the last episode (jean valjean would you please stop breaking my heart every damned time ?!?!?) I’m just going to focus on one of the best thing this anime did: 

a deep and complex portrait of Javert, always in character even if he does not commit suicide (and needless to say, I was a bundle of tears since that episode). How they succeeded in showing his inner turmoil using Javert memories and past actions that pile up within him almost to the breaking point interwined with the words of Jean Valjean at the barricade, haunting and soul-shattering;

and perhaps it is the most heart-breaking and beautiful thing, how the sudden light of the dawn refrains Javert from jumping, the light of a new day

and for the first time Javert smiles; he smiles at the sunrise (this metaphor is so splendid it makes me weep help) and at the newfound understanding he has reached at last (at last!)

how this pure light in Javert’s mind equates to Jean Valjean. 

Just. I can’t. 

This is the finale I always wanted for Javert, that is - a new beginning. 

I’m so happy shoujo Cosette went there, and without messing up anything.

(Plus a bonus for my valvert heart: from like ep one Javert is OBSESSED with Valjean, this man does literally not think about anything else he ajjsjsh even when concerned with patron minette or anything his mind go at random like “but- what about jEAN VALJEAN UH" 

but not only Javert because here we have one of my favourite scene of all time, JVJ sees a chimney and is reminded of Javert.

 Yeah. I know.)

Seriously, Shoujo Cosette is good.

sally jackson is literally the only person ever. she's so amazing. she's perfect. she's so kind it makes people cry. she listens to nirvana. she's beautiful. she fought a bull. she can cook. she's everyone's mother. she's a writer. she sings sad songs and applies them to her life and cries. she killed her abusive ex husband and sold him to get money for an apartment. she used to work at a candy store and bring percy samples of his favourite flavours. she shot a monster with a police gun in the middle of a war. she started making food blue because she's petty and she knew it would piss gabe off. she's an icon. she's the moment. no. 1 milf. no one's doing it like her.
