Better Pool Floats

Hello I have a cute little mod I'm really excited to share with you! It started with a simple little inner tube, but I became so obsessed it turned into a whole pool float overhaul. 

01 / Custom Animation Overrides

I really love using pool floats, but I always thought the default sitting pose was quite boring and stiff. So I've created new custom animations for the “relax” and “nap” interactions for adults and children. The pose is much more relaxed and natural now. 

I chose not to override every animation, so you can still play the original EA version if you choose “sunbathe”.  Since I didn’t override every animation, there will be some jumpy transitions between the EA pose and the relaxed pose. It’s particularly noticeable if the sim has a drink while relaxing, because there are a lot of different drink animations. There may also be some clipping or small imperfections.

02 / Improved Locomotion

I didn’t like how quickly the pool float would spin around and drift away, so I adjusted the movement speed to be much slower. Now it gently floats at a more natural pace.

03 / Custom Tuning Override

This will override the gameplay functionality for all pool floats in the game, including any cc that uses the default object_SitLoungeFloat tuning. I refined a lot of little details to improve the overall gameplay experience. 

"Relax" now restores a bit of energy and fun, and also reduces negative buffs.

New "Relax Nude" interaction

Tired sims won't autonomously go to nap in the pool instead of like, a bed or sofa.

Sims won't always fall asleep after relaxing. Now they'll only fall asleep if they're tired, bored, lazy or drunk. (You can still manually use the nap interaction though.) 

Removed the “scared” buffs and fear triggers. I found it annoying my sims would frequently develop a fear of swimming after relaxing on a pool float. Make it make sense EA!

Other small changes that no one will even notice 

Bonus / Italia Classic Pool Float (Requires Riviera Retreat)

I originally designed this pool float for my upcoming Italia Tartosa World, but I'm sharing it early so you can enjoy it now. Just to be clear, my cc float is not required for the other features of the mod. And the mod features will work with floats from other packs like Island Living as well.

This mod is in early Access until 14/10/24. I worked really hard on this so I appreciate your patience and support ♡

Sims 4T3 Facial Vitiligo Conversion Set 2

Here's part 2 of My vitiligo conversions from the sims 4. This time only taking me 2 hours to convert instead of 2 days✨. This set includes 8 more Vitiligo facial overlays from the Sims 4 free update. And the age conversions will be released soon💕.

My only recommendation for these overlays is to turn the opacity down to around 75% to 50% for a more realistic look. As these presets include more facial coverage around the eyes, nose and mouth. So details around these regions will be hidden/lost at full opacity of these overlays.

I did play around with other custom skin details with these overlays, and they are compatible with like 99.999% of them. My suggestion is to add these overlays as one of the first skin details before doing eye makeup, eye details and lipstick if using Nrass Master controller multiple makeup per location. This will give you a realistic and optimal look for your sims.

🤍 Langerak Nose Preset

All of the sims I use for my models are my personal lepacy. I was editing Parker Langerak to marry my heir and I tweaked his nose to make this one and I fell in love. It looks cute on all ages and both genders. The side profile honestly gives me greek vibes. If you would like more presets pls let me know!

Place the preset in your mods folder and it should show up under noses. There is not icon to indicate cc. Mine shows up as the very last preset

Modding Notes

I've been having a lot of fun writing the code of the Routine Planner mod, and I'm planning to release it next week if I don't run into any issues that make me want to completely ignore it for days on end 😅 As for my romance mod, I am taking a small break from it so I don't get burnt out, and I am sorry that I wasn't able to release it this month either, so here's a full preview of one of the interactions in it! 😊💙

TS3 CAS Realistic Lighting Mod

I tweaked the settings of @simbouquet amazing CAS Lighting Mod. I went through quite a few tries before it looked how I wanted it to. The things you do when you're procrastinating.

I made the lighting more evenly symmetrical, centred on the face, and a little bit brighter. I love the defined shadows added by Manny's mod which you can see in areas such as under the cheekbones and jawline. I think it works well with my semi-realistic sim style.

I took pics of a bunch of my sims to show how it works with different skintones. It is, hopefully, universally flattering.

All pics are unfiltered.

This is a default replacement mod, you can only have 1 CAS lighting mod installed at a time.

Tag me if you use it, I would love to see how it looks with other people's sims.

Sims 4t3 sims3Melancholic genetics conversions set

I'm back with another conversion, this time for females. This conversion set is inspired by some belly overlays and pregnancy masks from the wonderful sims 4 creator sims3melancholic. One file includes 3 belly overlays for softer and unique stomach shapes. The other file includes 3 pregnancy overlays to resemble a more realistic look to a pregnancy belly during and after birth.

Side-Notes:

If using Master controller Integration mod for multiple accessories per location and accessory tattoos, would recommend selecting stomach masks first to avoid overlays covering tattoo designs.

If using Arro’s more clothing rows mod for CAS, the accessory is a bit finicky when trying to recolor (But is selectable). I would recommend trying to recolor a bigger clothing item/accessory then clicking the mask to make the process easier.

Attempting to match the mask to the sim skin tone may be TRICKY, so switching between CAS and live-mode may be needed. Furthermore, colors/shading may be different depending on any lightning mods, reshade/g-shade in game both in CAS and live-mod. (As seen in preview pictures of color shade on my darker sim, and I was tired and wanted to release this as soon as possible.)

How To Convert Eyelashes

I was asked to make a tutorial on converting eyelashes. Well, here it is. Dirty, badly explained tutorial by Rollo. I'm assuming you know how to work with required programs, it won't teach you the basics, just a process of converting eyelashes from ts4 to ts3.

Requirements:

S4Studio

s3pe

TSR Workshop

Sims 3 Pack Multi-Extracter

These files (full credit goes to @gruesim)

Graphical program that works with .dds files

Let's go:

Open the desired lashes in S4Studio. Export diffuse of the ones you want to convert (you only need the black ones). You can also export the thumbnail. Close the program.

2. Unzip the folder that you downloaded from this tutorial. You will find a .dds files called "sclub eyelash". Open it up in the graphical program. Make a black layer above it and hide it for now.

3. Now open up your ts4 eyelashes file. Start from the upper eyelash, crop it and go to the sclub eyelash.

4. Paste it, click ctrl+i, it will make ts4 eyelash white.

5. This is the worst part. You have to make the ts4 eyelash fit to the sclub one as close as possible. Use every method possible!

6. Unhide the black layer and see if your eyelash look alright. It may need some sharpening.

7. Now crop the bottom eyelash and follow the exact same steps as for the upper eyelash.

8. It should look more or less like this. Bottom eyelashes are always harder to adjust and may need even more sharpening.

9. Merge your upper and bottom eyelashes, duplicate the layer. Click ctrl+a, ctrl+t, then right mouse button and choose "Flip Horizontal".

10. Voila. You should have a complete set of your new shiny eyelashes! Save them as .dds. You can close the program. We're moving to TSR Workshop.

11. New Project -> New Import. Import Eyelashes AFBase from the downloaded folder.

12. Name your project, name your file and click "Next".

13. You should see this. Go to Texture tab and click "Edit" on the Transparency Map.

14. Import your eyelashes and click "Yes" when asked.

15. You should see your lashes, yay! But this is TSRW, they won't look exactly the same in game, as they look here. If you want a set of eyelashes, add more presets.

16. Now this is important. If you want to see your eyelashes in Accessories, go to Project tab, Clothing Type and change it from eyeliner to glasses. You also have to do this if you have more than one preset in one file. They won't show up in Eyeliner section. If you want to have set of eyelashes in Eyeliner category, you have to make each preset into seperate file. Also, eyelashes are recolorable ONLY in Accessories section. Don't forget to check Categories section to see which outfit has the eyelashes available.

17. Now you're ready to export your file! Export -> To Sims3Pack. Use the Sims 3 Pack Multi-Extracter to convert your sims3pack to package file. We're moving to s3pe.

18. THESE STEPS ARE ESSENTIAL! Open up your shiny new package in s3pe. Click on the GEOM with the right mouse button.

19. Click Replace and choose AUID.simgeom from the downloaded folder. AUID is for adults, CUID for kids and PUID for toddlers. We have one more step to do.

20. Now click on the CASP normally (left mouse button) and click Grid on the bottom of the program.

21. A small pop up window appears. Scroll to the very bottom and find a line called OverlayPriority.

22. Change the 8 to 2. This will make eyelashes not being visible through hair that's covering eyes.

23. Save your package. You're ready to test your converted eyelashes in game!

Here they are. Nothing fancy, it was a quick conversion :D They're also compatible with S-Club eyelash sliders ^^

Btw, you don't necessarily have to convert both upper and bottom eyelashes. You can have upper or bottom only. Play with the lenght, not all eyelashes have to be very long. Convert it for males, kids, toddlers. You just have to remember to change the options in TSRW and replace the correct .simgeom file in s3pe. There is a lot of possibilities and you'll probably get better in this than me :D
