Summary: If you ask the man himself, it takes a half a year of going to a shitty family restaurant after work on Fridays for Hoseok to become your favorite. In reality, though, he just didn’t get the joke. OR

A/N: the amount of times i say booth in this is insane. this was a brain fart i had procrastinating a drabble for cougar. I swear its coming!

Its a typical Friday night. You toss back another shot and hum at the warm feeling that spreads down your throat and chest. The pulse of your heartbeat helps to drown out the sound of the numerous families with crying children sitting in the booths surrounding yours. It doesn’t cover up the smell of all-you-can-eat breadsticks, though. Sweat is starting to bead on your back from the excess body heat on your side of the booth, Yoongi and Namjoon’s arms being pressed against yours.  

You hear a familiar voice and realize Hoseok is calling your name to get your attention from his seat across from you.

“Guys! G-Guys, watch this,” he shouts, his voice cracking a bit before turning to pin you with a smarmy stare, “Out of all of us in the booth,” Hoseok smiles smugly, “Which of us is your favorite.” You sigh and wonder why he’s been asking you this every time you’ve gone out drinking after work.

“That’s easy. Jungkook.”

“What the fuck?” 

Hoseok whips his head to the side to glare at Jungkook, who sits next to him at the other side of the table. You hunt for a lime to suck on in the mess in front of you. The table’s surface is littered with both empty and half full beer bottles and shot glasses.

Jungkook beams at you brilliantly after finishing his final swallow of beer. His cheeks are soft and pink with the glow of his first two bottles. His smile is shameless and proud and you’re drunk enough that you forget to contain yourself under Hoseok’s jealous gaze.

“Come here,” you coo and clumsily sit up to extend greedy, cupped hands across the table, ignoring the dull pain of your thighs ripping off the fake leather of the seat. Jin and Jimin simply get up and return to the bar when you tip over their martinis as you scrabble to get near Jungkook, the sudden display of affection nothing new to them. Jungkook merely places his face happily in your waiting hands. He even grins a little when you shake him a bit. “You’re so fucking- hic -cute. You know that? Huh? Do you?”
