Spencer had always been nothing if not considerate. He’d order things that you both liked whenever he went out to eat, so that you could eat his leftovers if you wanted them. He trekked to store after store if they were out of your favorite laundry detergent, because he didn’t want you to have to deal with your clothes smelling different. He had planted you your own personal apple tree on the balcony, because the type you liked had stopped being stocked at the grocery store.

All in all, he was a dream come true.

Which is why you were so taken aback when he became a nightmare.
