summary: sunghoons hardest task on your birthday was making it through the baking a cake process, because your mischievous little girl couldn’t control her hunger.

the soft morning light streamed through the curtains, gently lighting up the kitchen. sunghoon stood at the island, an apron tied around his waist and flour dusting his fingers.

today was special—it was your birthday, and he wanted to make it perfect. he wasn’t exactly an expert in baking, but he was determined to make you a cake, and that had to count for something, right?

beside him sat your daughter, sori, perched on the counter with her small legs dangling. she was only three and a half, but she already had a mischievous spark in her eyes, watching everything her appa did with curiosity.

he handed her a tiny spoon to help, though most of her “helping” involved sneaking little bits of batter into her mouth when sunghoon wasn’t looking.

“sori, we need to save that for the cake, you know,” sunghoon said, a smile tugging at his lips as he glanced at her.

“but it’s yummy, appa,” she giggled, her fingers already sticky with batter.

sunghoon shook his head, chuckling. “just a little more, but we need enough for eomma’s cake, okay?”

the batter was finally ready, thick and smooth, and sunghoon carefully poured it into the pan. sori watched, her hands resting on the edge of the counter, her eyes wide. he smoothed the top of the batter and moved to place it in the oven, feeling a small sense of accomplishment. but when he turned back around, he noticed something strange—the leftover batter had a small, suspicious dent in it.

he raised an eyebrow, looking at sori. “what happened here?”

“nothing,” she said quickly, though the crumbs on her lips betrayed her.

“hmm,” sunghoon hummed, pretending to be serious. “looks like someone’s been eating more than just a little.”

sori giggled, clearly unbothered by his fake interrogation. sunghoon couldn’t help but laugh, shaking his head. “you’re going to ruin your appetite.”

the smell of the cake filled the house as it baked, the scent of vanilla warm and comforting. sunghoon checked the time—still plenty of it before you would wake up. he turned his attention to the frosting, starting to whip it up while sori hovered nearby, occasionally peeking over his shoulder.

“appa,” she whispered, “can i taste?”

“just wait a little longer,” sunghoon said, gently nudging her away with a smile. “we’ll eat it all together when it’s done.”

but when sunghoon was distracted for just a moment—reaching for the decorations—sori took her chance. with a quick glance to make sure he wasn’t watching, she leaned over the cake that had been cooling on the counter. her tiny fingers dug into the soft, warm sponge, pulling out bite-sized pieces, one after the other.

sunghoon turned back and froze. there it was—a small cave, hollowed out in the middle of the cake, and beside it, sori stood proudly with crumbs all over her fingers and face.

“sori!” he exclaimed, his eyes wide as he tried not to laugh. she looked up at him, her expression innocent but completely unbothered.

“i was hungry, appa.”

sunghoon sighed, crouching down to her level. “oh no, what are we going to do now?” his voice was soft, more amused than upset. it was hard to be mad when she looked so proud of herself.

sori just giggled again, not realizing the chaos she’d caused. sunghoon ran a hand through his hair, staring at the cake. “i guess we’ll have to fix it.”

he wasn’t sure how, but after a few minutes of thinking, he decided to just cover up the damage with extra frosting. it wouldn’t be perfect, but it was better than nothing. as he spread the frosting over the cake, sunghoon kept glancing at sori, shaking his head in disbelief but smiling all the same. she reminded him so much of you—full of life, cheeky, and impossible not to love.

once the cake was finally done, sunghoon stepped back to admire his work. it wasn’t perfect—definitely a little lopsided, and the frosting was a bit thick where he’d tried to cover sori’s “cave,” but it would do.

“okay,” he said, turning to sori. “let’s go wake eomma.”

he picked her up, her small arms wrapping around his neck, and the two of them tiptoed quietly down the hallway toward your bedroom. the house was still, and as they entered the room, the soft sound of your breathing filled the space. sunghoon set sori gently on the bed, and she immediately crawled over to your side, her little hands patting your arm.

“eomma,” she whispered, her voice full of excitement. “wake up!”

you stirred, slowly opening your eyes to the sight of sori’s bright, smiling face. her cheeks were flushed with excitement, and her hands were still slightly sticky. then, you noticed sunghoon standing at the doorway with a soft smile, holding a cake—your birthday cake.

“happy birthday,” he said, his voice low and warm.

you sat up, blinking the sleep from your eyes, a smile spreading across your face. sori wasted no time climbing into your lap, her little hands on your cheeks, pressing sloppy kisses to your face.

“appa and i made a cake!” she announced proudly. “but i ate some.”

sunghoon’s quiet laugh filled the room, and he walked over, placing the cake on the bedside table. “yeah, she left her mark on it,” he said, his eyes crinkling in amusement.

you glanced at the cake, noticing the slightly uneven surface, and couldn’t help but laugh. it wasn’t perfect, but it was the most perfect thing you could’ve asked for.

“thank you,” you whispered, pulling sori close to kiss her forehead, then reaching for sunghoon, who leaned down to kiss you gently on the lips.

“let’s eat before sori finishes the rest of it,” sunghoon joked, sitting down beside you.

the three of you shared slices of the slightly lopsided cake, laughter filling the room as sunghoon recounted the morning’s adventure in the kitchen.

it didn’t matter that the cake wasn’t perfect. in this moment, with sunghoon and sori by your side, it was everything.

one-shot under the cut !!

ㅤ𝐍𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐌𝐔𝐑𝐀 𝐑𝐈𝐊𝐈, one of the world's famous Japanese artist who was known for his unique yet beautiful paintings. Many of his beautiful paintings are displayed in prestigious galleries. His creations capture the essence of a beautiful, young woman, immortalized on canvas. However, what all these people didn't know was that this woman was real.

ㅤYou, his muse, find yourself in his art. A testament to the deep affection and perhaps a touch of obsession Riki holds for you. "You can lie on the couch, but be sure to show me your soft back.." Riki instructs as he gently adjusts the shirt you wore so your back shows enough to his liking.

ㅤ"Let me sketch you, my love." Riki's voice was so gentle that you almost forget you're handcuffed.. forced to stay with him, isolated in his house. It's not like he treated you badly, it was quite the opposite. He spoiled you, with affection and gifts, there were nights where he held you close. Whispering into your ear of how you 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈 to him and 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 him.

ㅤYou were his most valuable gem, his lucky charm. He was so obsessed with you, it was hard not to be. As you listen to him obediently, he presses a kiss to your lips before sitting behind the empty canvas, holding his palette which had different mixes of nude and mute colors. "Love, look at me."

ㅤRiki's voice was gentle, like always, except for the rare times when you tried running away. But now you knew better than to run away, and simply listened to him. You slowly look at him, and he smiles at you. "Good girl." He coos before beginning to paint the empty canvas with light strokes, the image in his head of how he'd dress you painted.

ㅤIn almost all his paintings with you, you only ever wore dresses. He loved seeing you wearing dresses, big dresses, small dresses, fancy dresses.. you could wear a garbage bag an he'd still love to look at you. Maybe it's her eyes.. Riki thought, but no.. it was really just his obsession.

"Why're you tapping at my window at this time." you murmur, wiping the remnants of sleep from your eyes, Ni-ki huffs as he finally lands his right leg on your carpet, his hair and clothes drenched from the rain.

"Mom kicked me out for the night, and I really doubt your dad would like to wake up to me knocking on his door at 1 in the morning." he chuckles, taking off his leather jacket, placing it messily on your study table. You frown at the sight, going to close the window, to stop more rain from coming in, waving at his friends parked in front of your house.

"What'd you do this time." "she didn't like my grades, and some other stuff, you know, the usual." he lays on your bed, earning a grumble from you, a hearty chuckle erupting from his stomach in response. You grab your hair dryer, before kicking at him to sit up. His hands grabbing your waist to pull you closer to him, your fingers lazily comb through his wet hair, plugging the electronic in. It grumbles softly at it comes to life, held awkwardly as you dried what you could of his hair cause he wouldn't pull away.

The sound from your dryer fills the air, your body drifting in and out of sleep. Finally managing to pull him away, focusing the electronic on his bangs. "I wish your dad wasn't such a dick. I'd get married to you right now." "Even if my dad wasn't a dick , we wouldn't get married cause we're still too young." you say as you put the dryer down on you bedside table.

"Would you marry me?" he questions, your eyes scan his face, fingers dragging through his now damp (ish) hair, a small smile gracing your face. "Yes, in a heartbeat." his cheeks swell with color, a soft red, his smile growing. "I'll get you the biggest diamond, a gold and silver ring, the most expensive." "You're the biggest diamond I'll ever need, the most expensive jewel I'll ever want." he paused before pulling away from your touch, a shy fit of laughter causing him to shake, leaned back, his body held up by his left hand, to look at you.

"T-that was really good." "learned from the best."

Unplanned Journey

Morning sunlight streamed through the curtains, bathing the room in a soft glow as Sunghoon slowly opened his eyes.

He sat up in bed, rubbing sleep from his eyes as he took a moment to collect his thoughts. The events of the last previous months were still fresh in his mind,.

His ex girlfriend who had returned again tottally unexpected in his life in their lives, he just couldn't shook off the feeling something was wrong & he don't know what Is it.

He took a deep breath and swung his legs out of bed, the cold floor a stark contrast to the warmth of the blankets.

He glanced over at the crib where his baby son was still sleeping peacefully and a pang of protectiveness washed over him.

He made his way to the bathroom, splashed some cold water on his face, and took a moment to brush his teeth and make himself presentable. With one final glance in the mirror,

he took another deep breath before stepping back into the bedroom.

He quietly crept to the crib and stood there for a moment, watching his son sleep.

Sunghoon couldn’t help but feel a mix of gratitude and protectiveness watching the innocent, peaceful face of his child. He knew that he would do everything in his power to provide and care for his son, no matter what.

With one last gentle touch to his son's head, Sunghoon straightened up and made his way to the kitchen.

The sound of shuffling pots and pans revealed that his girlfriend was already up and making breakfast.

He paused in the doorway for a moment, watching her move about the kitchen with a strange mix of emotions.

She had her back to him, unaware of his presence, and he took a moment to just observe her.

Despite everything that had happened these past few months, he couldn't deny the fact that he still cared for her, deep down.

He cleared his throat softly, alerting her to his presence.

She turned around, a smile on her face that didn't quite reach her eyes. "Morning,"

she said, her voice casual as she returned to flipping pancakes on the griddle.

He nodded in response, stepping further into the kitchen and taking a seat at the small table.

His girlfriend, still facing the stove, turned to Sung-hoon with a smile that seemed just a little too bright.

"You want coffee?" she asked, already reaching for a mug without waiting for his response.

Sunghoon nodded. "Yeah, thanks."

He watched as she poured the coffee into the mug and handed it to him, her touch lingering on his fingers for just a second longer than necessary.

There was something in her eyes that he couldn’t quite read, a gleam that made him uneasy.

As she turned back to the pancakes, he took a sip of his coffee, trying to ignore the gnawing feeling in his gut.

Despite the seemingly normal scene playing out before him, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

And then after the pancakes done she served it into two plates and, sat down across from him, sipping her own coffee and watching him closely over the rim of the mug.

Her gaze was unwavering, and the air between them felt charged with tension.

Despite her cheerful exterior, there was something beneath the surface that he couldn't quite pinpoint.

"I'm glad we're doing this." she said suddenly, breaking the uneasy silence.

"I mean, us. Together again."

She batted her eyelashes at him in a way that seemed almost flirtatious, but there was a hint of calculation behind her eyes.

"Yeah, me too." Sunghoon replied. He took a sip of coffee,

struggling to match her upbeat tone. The truth was,

he still had feelings for her, there was no denying that, but something about this whole situation still left him feeling uncomfortable and on edge.

“I’ve missed you, you know.” She reached across the table and placed her hand on his, her fingers intertwining with his own.

Her touch was gentle, almost possessive, and he found himself unable to pull away.

"I missed you too."

he said softly, looking down at their joined hands.

Despite himself, he couldn’t help but feel a flicker of joy at her touch, at the feeling of being close to her again after so long.

But there was something different about her now, something that gave him pause.

Just as Sunghoon opened his mouth to speak further, the silence was broken by the sound of a baby's cry coming from the next room.

echoed through the small apartment & tugging at sunghoon's heartstrings .

"He's awake," he said, reluctantly pulling his hand from his girlfriend's grasp and standing up from the table

He made his way to bedroom & walked to the crib where Si-woon was already stirring, eyes squinting open as he began to fuss.

"It's okay, buddy," Sung-hoon murmured, gently picking up the baby and cradling him in his arms.

The baby's cries subsided as he rested in his father's embrace, and Sunghoon couldn't help but smile as he felt the tiny fingers wrap around his thumb.

This... this was the only constant in his life these past few months, this little bundle of joy who looked to him for everything.

"My little man is hungry isn't he? Hm?" he asked to the baby looking down at his arms and smile never leave his lip.

As sunghoon carried the baby into the kitchen, his girlfriend's expression changed slightly, a flicker of irritation crossing her face.

"Why is he always this noisy?" she asked, crossing her arms and leaning against the counter.

"He's a baby," Sunghoon replied simply, trying to suppress his irritation at her words.

"He cries when he needs something."

He busied himself with preparing a bottle for the baby, avoiding eye contact with his girlfriend.

She huffed in annoyance and muttered something under her breath that sounded like "what a small brat."

Sunghoon clenched his jaw but chose to ignore her muttered comment,

he don't wanna argue again with her not early in this morning, he focusing instead on feeding Siwoon.

As he sat down in a chair to feed the baby, his girlfriend took a seat across from him,

drumming her fingers on the table impatiently. She continued to watch the baby, her eyes darting between him and Sunghoon,

The baby was looking up sunghoon with curious doe eyes as he was feeding him he was suckling the nipple of fidar in his lip.

As Siwoon continues to feed, his eyes locked on his father's face, a small smile tugged at the corners of Sunghoon's lips.

It was these moments, these quiet moments alone with his son, that made everything worth it.

Despite the challenges he faced, the nights spent fretting over how to pay the bills,

the exhaustion that came with being a single parent at such a young age, one look at his son's innocent face always made it all better.

the little moments like this made it all worthwhile.

He had never expected to become a father at such a young age, but as he looked at Siwoon's peaceful face,

he knew he could not imagine his life without him now.

His girlfriend, however, didn't share his sentiment. She was growing increasingly irritated at the sight of the baby, her arms crossed and a frown on her face.

"Can you make him stop staring at you like that?" she asked, her tone laced with annoyance. "It's creepy."

Sunghoon's smile faded immediately. "He's a baby," he repeated, his voice firm.

"He doesn't understand the concept of 'creepy.' He only knows that I'm his source of comfort and safety."

His girlfriend rolled her eyes and muttered something under her breath again.

As Siwoon finished feeding, Sung-hoon gently burped him and placed him against his shoulder, patting his back. The baby let out a soft sigh,

snuggling closer to his father's chest, clearly content and settled.

Sunghoon felt a pang of protectiveness and love as he held his son,

the weight of his tiny body against him a reminder of how much this little creature depended on him.

He shot his girlfriend a glare look.

She huffed and looked away, clearly not enjoying the sight of the baby being doted on and the closeness between father and son.

They sat in silence for a few moments, the only sound being the occasional soft cooing from Siwoon.

Sunghoon continued to pat the baby's back, lost in his thoughts.

He couldn't understand why his girlfriend was acting this way toward the baby.

Surely, she must have known that caring for an infant took time and effort, that he couldn't just put aside his responsibilities as a father whenever she wanted attention.

Finally, his girlfriend couldn't contain her annoyance any longer.

"When are you going to put him down? It's not like he's going to explode or anything if he's not attached to you all the time."

Sunghoon bristled at her words but took a deep breath, trying to keep his voice level.

"He's still a newborn," he explained, the patience in his tone beginning to wear thin.

"He needs constant care and attention. Especially at this age, " Sunghoon replied, trying to keep his patience.

"And he's not just 'attached' to me, he's completely dependent on me for everything."

She huffed and slammed her mug down on the table.

"You're seriously so obsessed with that kid. It's like you care more about him than you do me. It's been four months, we were are apart.. "

"& now I'm back bcz i still love you hoon.. i missed you, you should be spending your time with me, not with a crying ball of flesh."

Sunghoon felt a flare of anger at her words. "That 'ball of flesh' is my son," he said, his voice edged with irritation.

"I have responsibilities now, priorities. And yes, he comes first. I'm not going to neglect him just to satisfy your need for attention."

"You're so annoyingly devoted," she retorted.

"It's like that baby is the only thing that matters to you. What about me? I've given birth to this child! So What about us? When are we going to have any time for just the two of us?"

"You never have time for me, You're always either working or taking care of that thing."

Sunghoon chuckled sarcastically.

"You chose this path,"

"I choose? I did not choose to spend any time without boyfriend..'

"You choose to abandon both of uss,!" He burst out,

"at the first place remember? You don't have the right to come back now and expect me to just drop everything for you." He said firmly,

She rolled her eyes.

"I was too young to be a mother, you know that. I was young and scared, I didn't sign up for this"

she protested, her tone bordering on a whine.

"I wasn't ready to be a mother. Can't you understand that?"

"And you think I was ready?" Sunghoon snapped. "I'm just 17, I had to finish high school, apply for college, and then had to graduate to chase my dreams "

"why didn't i have the luxury of being scared? Huh?."

She was momentarily speechless, seemingly caught off guard by his outburst.

For a moment, guilt flashed in her eyes, but it was quickly replaced by irritation.

"Well, it's not my fault you got me pregnant," she retorted.

"You know, it takes two to tango," he shot back.

"You were just as much responsible as I was. Stop acting like you're the victim here."

"Well, it's not like you did anything to prevent it." she sneered, her tone turning venomous.

"You could have used protection, you know."

Sunghoon's hands tensed around the baby in his arms, anger boiling within him.

"And what about you? You were right there beside me, equally involved. Don't try to shift the blame onto me."

"You're a guy! You're supposed to be the responsible one." she retorted,

her voice rising in pitch. "You should have made sure we were protected."

"Oh, so it's all my fault then?" he asked sarcastically.

"I'm just a dumb teenage boy incapable of making mistakes, right? Meanwhile, you're the innocent little girl who has no control over her actions?"

"You're the one who got me pregnant," she practically growled,

her cheeks reddening in anger.

"I had my whole life ahead of me, I had dreams, plans. You ruined it all.

"You're the one who knocked me up," she muttered. "It's your fault this baby even exists."

he clenched his jaw, struggling to keep his temper in check.

"Excuse me?" Sunghoon's voice was dangerously quiet.

"I ruined it all, huh?" he repeated, his voice low dangerously low.

"It's not like I forced you to sleep with me."

"I didn't force myself onto you, We both chose to do it. You don't get to act like I'm the villain here."

"It's both our responsibility, not just mine. Stop trying to make it seem like I'm the only one at fault here. We were both in that bed,!"

"But you didn't exactly make an effort to prevent it," she retorted.

"You just went along with it without a care in the world."

"And neither did you," he shot back.

"We were both reckless, both stupid, both to blame. So don't try to paint me as the villain here when you were just as guilty."

She looked away, a pout on her lips.

"I didn't know this would happen," she muttered lamely.

"I didn't sign up to become a mother at 16. I want to live my life, not be tied down by a baby."

Sunghoon's heart clenched at her words.

"And you think I did? You think I wanted this?" he asked, his voice rising slightly. "I'm the one waking up in the middle of the night to change diapers, I'm the one staying up all night trying to soothe a crying baby."

"I-I'm the one.. sacrificing my dreams and plans for this child's sake."

"That's exactly my point," she snapped.

"You've become completely obsessed with that kid. You think you're some kind of hero because you're taking care of him? Well, news flash, you're not."

Sunghoon clenched his jaw, biting back the angry retort that was on the tip of his tongue.

He couldn't deny that she was right. Since the moment Siwoon had come into his life, he had dedicated himself fully to taking care of the baby, prioritizing his needs above everything else.

But the way she said it, with such disdain, made it sound like a weakness rather than a demonstration of love.

"You call it obsession, I call it responsibility,"

"Responsibility?" she sneered.

"You're only 17 years old, and you're acting like you're the most responsible adult in the world."

" You think you can handle being a parent? You think you're some kind of saint because you're juggling college and a baby at the same time? "

You're just a boy, and boys don't make good parents."

The words stung, but Sung-hoon refused to let her see that they affected him.

"I know I'm young," he said, his voice steady.

"I know I still have a lot to learn. But what I also know is that I love this child more than anything, and I'm committed to raising him right."

" I may not be perfect, but I sure as hell will try to be a good father for him."

"But it's not enough, is it?"

she retorted. "It's not enough that you're trying. You're always tired, you're always stressed, you're always worried."

" You're not happy, and you're not living the life a 17-year-old should be living just admit it for God sake." She rolled her eye's.

Sunghoon couldn't deny the truth in her words.

The constant lack of sleep, the ever-present stress about having enough money to pay the bills,

the missed opportunities for college parties and carefree nights out with friends – it all weighed heavily on his shoulders.

But at the same time, he looked down at the baby in his arms, with his big eyes and soft, toothless mouth, and he knew that none of that mattered.

This little being was his everything, his reason for getting up in the morning and pushing through the tough days.

"You're right," he admitted, his voice quiet cracked, as he held back his emotions

"It's not the life I imagined. But this..." he gestured to the baby in his arms,

"this doesn't fit into your perfect little vision of what a 17-year-old's life should look like. But this is reality."

"This is my reality, and it's a reality I wouldn't trade for anything in the world."

She huffed, clearly annoyed.

As she rolled her eyes at his words, clearly unconvinced.

"You're just a kid fooling himself into believing that sacrificing your youth for a baby is somehow noble and heroic,"

she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Wake up, Sunghoon. You're not some kind of martyr. You're just a gullible boy who got played by your own hormones and emotions."

"You're too blinded by the whole "responsibility" thing to see how messed up this is." She gestured around the apartment.

"You think living in this cramped place, struggling to make ends meet, is what's best for your kid? You're delusional."

"You don't understand-" he cut off by her.

"You say that now, but what about when you're thirty? Forty? Fifty?"

" You're going to wake up one day and realize that you wasted your youth on a child that wasn't even planned."

"I won't be wasting anything," he said firmly.

"Every minute I spend with Si-woon, every diaper I change, every time I hold him in my arms, it's not a waste."

" it's all worth it. He may not have been planned, but he's the best thing to ever happen to me"

Sunghoon's expression hardened.

"He's my son, my flesh of blood and he's worth more than any party or clubbing night ever could be"

"And I would never trade my child for a night out at a party or a random hookup with some girl whose name I won't remember the next morning." he said firmly.

His girlfriend's lips curled in disgust.

"You're really turning into a boring old man," she muttered, rolling her eyes.

"What happened to the Sunghoon I used to know? The one who was up for anything, the one who wasn't afraid to take risks and have fun?"

"Come on, You can't seriously tell me you don't miss your old life," she said incredulously.

"The freedom, the lack of responsibility, the ability to do whatever you want without having to worry about a baby needing you every second of the day"

Sunghoon took a deep breath, trying to maintain his composure.

"You know what? I don't have time for this. Just.. just leave! If you can't accept the fact that I'm more responsible now than my age "

"and how i'm taking care of my action, taking care of the responsibility a life that i created.. then there's no point in you being here" he said firmly.

She stared at him for a moment, clearly taken aback by the sudden command. For a moment, she looked like she might argue back, but instead,

she grumbled something under her breath and stormed out of the room. Sung-hoon let out a sigh of relief once she was gone, a small part of the tension in his shoulders easing.

Despite the relief of her absence, Sunghoon couldn't shake off the bitter feeling that lingered in his chest. He looked down at Siwoon in his arms.

who had been watching the entire exchange with wide, curious eyes.

"Just you and me now, little one," he mumbled, a smile tugging at his lips despite the turmoil of the argument.

He gently kissed the top of the baby's head, inhaling the sweet, baby scent that was so soothing and familiar to him now.

As he continued to cradle his son in his arms, he couldn't help but feel a sense of peace wash over him.

Despite the challenges he faced, he wouldn't trade this life for anything. Being a father at a young age had forced him to grow up quickly, but it had also given him a purpose and a love deeper than he ever thought possible.

he was glad she was gone. Sure, it was difficult being a single parent, and there were days when he felt like he was drowning under the weight of his responsibilities.

But even on those days, when he looked down at Si-woon and saw the pure, unconditional love in those big, baby eyes, he knew that it was all worth it.

& He wasn't going to let anyone undermine the love and loyalty he had for that tiny being in his arms.

Unplanned Journey

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆fast forward 4years☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

years slipped by in the blink of an eye, and before Sunghoon knew it, his little Siwoon was no longer a tiny infant. The baby had grown into a lively,

It was another day, and Sunghoon was just about to leave for work with Siwoon

The four-year-old was holding his father's hand, still half-asleep and rubbing his eyes groggily.

"Come on, sleepyhead," Sunghoon said with a hint of affection in his voice, giving his son's hand a gentle squeeze. "We gotta go. I have to be at work in an hour."

Siwoon pouted, but he knew that protesting was pointless. Instead, he let out a dramatic sigh and trudged along next to his father, his small body still weighed down by sleep.

They walked to the bus stop in relative silence, the early morning air crisp and cool. When the bus arrived, they got on, and Siwoon sato his father lap.

He rested his head back against Sunghoon's chest, and within minutes, he was asleep again, his little chest rising and falling steadily.

Sunghoon glanced down at his son, a soft, fond smile on his face.

Despite the early hour and the chaos that surely awaited him at work, he couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment.

He was grateful for small moments like this, where he could just watch his son sleeping peacefully and know that, at least for the moment, all was well

As the bus rolled to a stop near the convenience store, Sunghoon gently shook Si-woon awake.

The little boy stirred, his eyes opening slowly as he tried to shake off the last cobwebs of sleep

Once they got off the bus, they walked the familiar route to the convenience store where Sung-hoon worked.

The sun was slowly rising by now, casting a warm glow over the city.

They arrived at the store, and Sunghoon unlocked the front door, gesturing for Si-woon to go inside.

The store was still closed to customers at this hour, but Sung-hoon had keys to open up early.

The convenience store was a small, familiar place, filled with shelves of goods and the lingering scent of coffee and snack foods.

Sunghoon's shift was about to start, and he was busy preparing the till when he felt a tug on his pant leg. He looked down to find Siwoon standing next to him, still rubbing sleep from his eyes

----

"Papa, I'm bored," Siwoon complained, his small voice groggy from sleep.

"Can I play with something? Pleeeease?"

"I know you're bored, buddy, but Papa needs to work now, ok? Can you be a good boy and stay quiet for a bit?

Siwoon pouted, but he nodded, understanding that his dad had work to do.

He looked around the store, spotted a corner with packets of snacks, and a grin spread across his face.

Without wasting a moment, he darted over to the pile, grabbing a handful of gummy bears.

"Hey, woah, woah, woah," Sunghoon called out, quickly catching up to his son.

"What do you think you're doing, huh? You can't just take those without asking."

"But they look so tasty, Papa," Siwoon protested, holding up a packet of gummy bears and giving his father his best puppy dog eyes.

Sunghoon tried to keep a stern expression, but it was hard when his son looked up at him with those innocent, pleading eyes.

"No, buddy," he said firmly, gently taking the gummy bears from Si-woon's hand and placing them back on the shelf.

"We can't just take them. If you want something to eat, you have to ask Papa first, okay?"

Siwoon seemed disappointed, but he knew better than to push his dad any further. "Okay, Papa," he mumbled, his shoulders slumping slightly.

understanding that his father was serious. He looked around the store again, this time searching for something else to keep him occupied

his eyes landing on a display of plush toys nearby.

"Papa can i-" before he could say anything he cut him off , sunghoon knows what is it next.

Sung-hoon knelt down to his level and put a hand on his shoulder.

"Hey," he said softly, "why don't you sit over here and color for a while, okay? Papa needs to work,"

Siwoon considered his father's words, then nodded again.

He knew that when his father said he needed to work, it meant he wasn't supposed to bother him for a while.

He allowed Sunghoon to lead him to a

Sunghoon reached his hand behind siwoon's small bagpack & unzipped,

pulling out a coloring book and a set of crayons. He handed them over to his son along with a coloring sheet, who eagerly took them and began to scribble on the page

"There you go, buddy," Sunghoon said, ruffling Siwoon's hair again.

"You be a good boy sitting here and color in your book, and Papa will be right here if you need anything, okay?

he nodded.

The flow of customers was constant, and Sunghoon found himself immersed in his work, ringing up items, bagging groceries,

and chatting with the regulars who came in. Every so often, he'd glance over at Siwoon,

who was intently coloring his page, his small tongue peeking out from the corner of his mouth in concentration.

--

The front door of the convenience store jangled as a group of giggling high school girls walked in.

They quickly made their way to the counter where Sunghoon was standing, their eyes fixed on him appreciatively

One of the girls, a pretty brunette with a shy smile, stepped forward and placed her items on the counter.

"Um, excuse me," she said, her cheeks flushed with a light pink blush. "Can you please help me?"

Sunghoon smiled politely, his response smooth and familiar after having gone through this several times before.

"Of course, what can I help you with?"

The girls exchanged glances, clearly enjoying the attention they were getting from him.

One of The girlspoke up again, a hint of nervousness in her voice.

"We need some snacks for our sleepover," she said. "Could you suggest something?"

Sunghoon nodded, used to providing suggestions to customers.

He pointed out a few bags of chips, some candy bars, and a few drinks.

"You might also want to pick up some popcorn for movie night," he suggested with a knowing smile.

The girls nodded, their eyes never leaving his face.

They added the items he suggested to their pile, still giggling amongst themselves.

Then one of them, a bolder girl with dark hair, spoke up. "You're very handsome oppa~," she said bluntly, her voice laced with a hint of flirtation

This time, Sunghoon's smile held a touch of amusement.

He was used to compliments, but the forwardness of this girl still caught him off guard a bit.

"That's very kind of you to say," he said politely. "Anything else I can get for you ladies today?"

The girls exchange another round of glances, clearly enjoying the attention. The bold girl spoke up again.

"Are you single?" she asked bluntly, with her friends giggling in the background

Sunghoon chuckled, shaking his head.

"I am," he admitted truthfully. "But I'm not really looking for a relationship right now," he added, hoping that would quash any further advances.

The bold girl pouted, clearly not satisfied with his response.

"Why not oppa? You're so attractive... any girl would be lucky to be with you,"

she protested, her friends nodding in agreement behind her.

Sunghooncontinuing to scan their items as he spoke.

"I have more important things on my mind right now," he said,

his eyes flickering to Siwwoon in the corner, who was still deeply engrossed in his coloring.

The girls followed his gaze and noticed the little boy for the first time.

They had been so focused on Sunghoon that they hadn't even noticed him there.

"Who's that?" the first girl asked curiously.

Sunghoon smiled softly as he bagged their items.

"That's my son," he said, his voice filled with a mix of pride and warmth.

The girls' eyes widened as they looked at Si-woon, then back at Sunghoon in shock.

"You're a father?" the bold girl asked, her earlier flirty tone replaced with surprise

Sunghoon nodded, a small smile playing at the corners of his mouth.

"Yes," he said simply, glancing over at his son again, who was now drawing a colorful butterfly on his page.

The girls were silent for a moment, clearly processing this new information. The brunette girl was the first to speak up, her voice softer now.

"I didn't know you had a son," she said, her eyes shifting between Sunghoon and the little boy.

"Yeah, most people don't," Sunghoon responded, his tone casual.

e handed the girls their bags, still smiling politely. "That'll be $12.98," he said, gesturing to the total on the cash register screen.

The girls snapped out of their trance and fished out their wallets, still peering curiously at Siiwoon.

The bold girl handed him the money, her gaze lingering on his face. "He's very cute," she said softly

"Thank you," Sunghoon replied, his eyes flicking to Siwoon again.

"I think so too." He handed back their change, the girls still hesitating by the counter, clearly reluctant to leave

Sunghoon watched them go, a small sigh escaping his lips.

It wasn't the first time something like this had happened, and he knew it wouldn't be the last.

But he was used to it now, and his thoughts quickly shifted back to his work and the little boy in the corner coloring quietly

He glanced over at Siwoon, who had moved on from coloring butterflies to creating a detailed landscape with different colors of crayons.

The scene brought a soft smile to his face. This was the only attention he craved - a quiet moment with his son, who loved him with a pure and innocent heart..

★ LEE HEESEUNG ( 0.8k wc )

"y/n wait!"

heeseung's voice only made you walk faster. you didn't want to humiliate yourself further by stopping and talking to him. all you wanted to do now was to just march out of the school, go home, lock yourself in your room and maybe eat a tub of ice cream while you ugly cry yourself to sleep.

"y/n, please." heeseung pleaded, taking your elbow in his grasp as he spun you around and pulling you closer to the point you can feel his breath on fanning your nose.

he looked at you pleadingly. "it's okay," you managed to say in a shaky voice. "i understand, you can all laugh at me all you want now-" he shook his head, "it's okay really!" you added, pursing your lips.

"i just want to be left alone now okay?" and even if he knew you didn't mean just 'now.' he'll respect your wishes and let you go, but he won't give up.

heeseung watched you walk away from him with a heavy heart, wanting nothing but to just explain everything to you before it was too late. he couldn't lose you, not like this.

when he couldn't see your figure anymore, he messily messed his hair and made his way back to the gym eager to teach a guy how to not spit nonsense.

it's been a week since that happened and a week since he's seen you in the school. he asked some of your classmates and club members but all he received were nasty glares and short cold answers. what happened between the two of you spread like wild fire the following day you walked away from him. everyone knew you were kind of a nerd, but they also knew you were a complete angel and had a heart soft as a pillow.

they also knew that betting on a person's feeling isn't exactly it. — more under the cut!

so throughout that week too, his popularity decreased day by day. he used to receive heart eyes on the hallways and joyful 'good morning, heeseung!'s by random students, now all he received were judgemental glances and they avoided him like a plague, scared to be the next target of a cruel bet.

he didn't care though, all he cared about was your wellbeing. it's been a week and you've still yet to show up to class, so imagine his surprise when you suddenly walk in to the room with your usual hair do, your bag slung over on your shoulder and your glasses almost falling off your nose bridge.

he sat up straighter, gulping as his eyes followed your every move. he could feel hear heart beating louder, as if it was calling for you, desperate to be near you again.

he needed to fix this, asap.

it felt like forever before heeseung heard the bell ring. as soon as he heard the annoying sound, he messily packed up his things and ran after you.

"y/n!" your forearm was then again grabbed by him. although this time, he turned you slowly. heeseung silently admired your face. he missed you so much.

"let me explain, please. it's not what you think. i promise." he whispered, vulnerability in his tone. the simple nod you gave was his signal to interlace his fingers with yours as he looked for an empty room.

you ignored the looks everyone threw your way, either worried and judging. all you could focus on was his warm hand on yours and how you missed it so much, you didn't even realize you both were now inside an empty classroom.

"there was no bet." you furrowed your brows, looking at him with mixed confusion and frustration. "i promise, there was no bet."

"why would they say that then?"

"i don't know, but i promise there's no bet. throughout the months we've been together everything i've said was real." he said, desperate.

heeseung stepped closer.

"what i felt for you was real," he scrambled to get his phone from his pocket, opening his messages app. "you can go through my phone all you want, ask any of my friends-" you raised a brow.

"not those friends! i mean sunghoon, jay, jungwon.. you know." your raised brow made him sputter. "to be completely honest, they've been ignoring me after they heard about what happened.."

you looked at him hesitantly as you scrolled through his messages with shaking hands. you scrolled for so long, you even reached to the messages months before you both got together.

he didn't have any messages to his basketball team group chat unless it was announcements from his coach. the group chat with his actual friends were only filled with his pining over 'the girl on the back of his biology class.'

"heeseung.."

"there's no bet, baby. i'd never do that to anyone." he whispered, stepping closer. "i can't lose you like this.. i love you."

you sniffled as you came crashing on his chest, letting tears fall again. heeseung immediately wrapped his arms around you, sighing in relief as he finally have you back in his arms.

"i was so worried baby." he mumbled, kissing your head.

"i love you forever. i'll kill everyone who tries to get in between us again," heeseung pulled you closer if it was even possible.

"and if they do, i'll make sure to fix everything even if it means the whole world would hate me."

★ PARK JONGSEONG ( 1.0k wc )

jay was confused.

the both of you had a very well planned date tonight, so he was utterly puzzled to see that you weren't responding to his messages. for heaven's sake, you didn't even read his messages, he was just left in delivered.

he had tried calling multiple times but was only met with your automated voice telling him to leave a voice message. it came to the point that he had enough and decided to drive to your house.

throughout the drive, jay wondered what could've happened. he couldn't think of anything that would make you upset like this, he hoped that you just fell asleep and forgot to have your alarm on.

walking up the porch of your house, jay rang the doorbell and was met with your mom who opened the door with furrowed brows when she laid her eyes on him.

"good afternoon mrs. l/n, is y/n home?" your mother's frown deepened, hesitantly looking at the stairs behind her before looking back at him. "i'm sorry jay, she said she doesn't want to see you?"

that caused jay to furrow his brows as well. "wha- may i ask why?"

"i was hoping you'd tell me." if jay was confused a while ago, he was even more confused now and frustrated.

"can i see her, please?" he pleads, the older woman hesitantly opened the door wider to invite him in, and before he could ascend up the stairs, your mom stopped him.

"jay.." he looked back. "i don't know what happened to you both but take it easy on her, alright? she's been crying, i can tell." jay gulped and only nodded, sending your mom a pursed smile.

he knocked on your bedroom door, when no response came, he tried to turn the knob and was thankful that it wasn't locked.

jay slowly opened your door, seeing you curled on one corner of your bed as your body shook from your sobs you tried to keep silent.

he could feel his heart break at the sight. stepping a foot inside the room, he mentally cursed at himself when he accidentally bumped on to your mirror causing your head to shoot up in alarm at the sound.

your already glassy eyes was once again filled with tears as your eyes met his. jay barely dodged the pillow you threw at him, screaming at him to "go away and never show your face to me again."

jay frowned and came closer until he was sat on the edge of your bed, ignoring the words you just shouted at him.

"baby.. what's- what's wrong?" he asked, attempting to hold your hand but you retracted it and tried to throw another pillow at him. he swiftly caught it and brought it back down gently beside you.

"was it worth the one month of free car wash?" you spat through hiccups. jay stayed silent, confused.

"of course it probably was, that's what you do right?" the sight of your swollen and red face kept breaking his heart, he was still confused on what you were talking about but he'll let you talk.

this way he knew how he'd make things better.

"make me fall in love with you in exchange of a month's free of car wash.." you muttered, your eyes still boring on to his. at your words, it finally clicked. "..am i really worth just that much?" another sob.

right, he had forgotten to end the call when his 'friend' came barging into his apartment. you had probably heard all the nonsense the guy sputtered.. but surely you must've heard the way he defended your relationship and swore at that him too?

"i thought.. high school days were done jay. please just leave me alone now. you got what you want." jay shook his head, coming closer and pulling your body to his.

he wrapped his arms around you, his hand rubbing your back as you sobbed hard. he didn't try stopping you when he felt your weak punches that you threw at his chest, his own tears clouding his vision but he didn't dare make them fall.

"you got it all wrong, baby." he whispered, rubbing your nape as your face now rested against the crook of his neck. he ignored the wetness there. "i'm guessing you overheard the conversation with sungjae?"

you nodded, now calmer but not pulling away.

"did you also hear the way i told him to drop the stupid bet he kept insisting to happen? the way i kicked him out of my apartment?" you stayed silent, only sniffling as a response.

jay sighed, wrapping his arm around your waist tighter and pulling you closer.

"the whole campus knows sungjae's an asshole, baby. he was a jerk who thought that being a dick to others were entertaining, and i guess that's why i was like that back in high school.. i wanted to be accepted in their group."

"but we're in college now, i left that group but somehow sungjae's here and is pathetically still stuck in the past." he pulled your face from his neck, cupping your cheek and wiping away your tears.

"i've loved you since high school.. and there's no bet, baby. the moment he had found out i was dating you, he kept bringing up a bet about how long we would last.. but i always shut him out, told him to cut it out and that there will be no bet happening, especially if you're the one getting betted on."

new fresh tears come rolling down your cheek, this time they were tears of relief. glad to know that everything was real, that you weren't just a toy.

"you promise you'll cut him off starting now?" you whispered, looking at him with big glassy eyes.

"i've cut him since high school, y/n. it's him who's keep clinging to me. but i promise he won't be saying anything about the both of us anymore." jay pressed your foreheads together, pressing a soft peck on your lips.

"you will forever be the prettiest and the only one i'll ever love this much in this world, my baby."

★ SIM JAEYUN ( 0.5k wc )

jake watched you run away in confusion, staring at the laughing crowd and turning to look at your locker only to be met with the note he has been telling everyone to throw away.

he angrily took it from your locker, ripping the small paper into pieces. "how many times have i told you to cut this shit out? do you want me to report all of you for harassment and bullying?" he raised his voice at the crowd who had stopped their laughter.

"that's what i thought." he frowned, pushing past them and running after you.

jake knew what everyone was doing the moment it spread that he was dating you. he had received dms telling him he could do better and if he was merely toying with your feelings.

he had told them countless times to drop it, even going far as to almost punch the person who has created the bets if it wasn't for sunoo holding him back. he had hoped that it wouldn't reach you. it was another one of his reasons on why he always went to school earlier, just in case it was placed on your locker. unfortunately, you were earlier than him today.

it's not like he was tolerating it, he had tried countless times to report it but they'd only say it was probably only for fun and he shouldn't take jokes seriously.

but jokes were meant to be funny, right?

jake opened the door that lead to the rooftop slowly, peeking his head to look if you were there. to his luck, you were.

your back faced him while your bag was placed down carelessly beside your feet. jake approached slowly, not wanting to overwhelm you further.

"baby?" he mumbled loud enough for you to hear. you turned your head towards him, showing him your tear stained cheeks. "oh, y/n." he sighed and held your cheeks, wiping away the salty liquid off your precious face.

"jake.. why are you dating me, of all people?" you ask through tears, avoiding his eyes.

jake's eyes softened, he dated you because you were different from everyone who wanted to be like the everyone else, did that make sense? you were your own person, you didn't care about social status, wealth, his circle of friends, and whether someone was good looking or not. you were soft hearted, to the point that you had let others take advantage of that leading them to walking all over you.

and he hated that.

"why not you?" he said softly, tilting your chin up so that you could meet his eyes. "you're everything i've ever needed."

"you can tell the truth." you mutter, looking at jake. his mouth formed a pout, heart broken at the way you had so little love for yourself.

"i am telling the truth, baby." he whispers, taking your hands and placing them on his face before putting his own hands back on yours. "everything is a joke to them when i'm involved." you whisper, ignoring the way your voice broke.

"we don't care about what they think, they're all just jealous. everything we've been through and what i feel for you are real, no jokes." he smiled, pulling you closer to him.

"you promise?"

"baby i'd choose you over anyone in this world over and over again until the heavens above is tired of me."

★ PARK SUNGHOON (0.7k wc)

sunghoon frowned, confused and hurt. he wanted to fix whatever happened, so he took his phone from the couch and his car keys from the wooden bowl in his foyer.

it was when he was in the elevator that he noticed his phone was open. his breath hitched, finally knowing the reason for your departure and choice of words. sunghoon quickly left the group chat and started dialing your number.

it was true that you were a bet. were. he didn't even know why he agreed, maybe because he wanted so badly to fit in. he didn't want a repeat of middle school, so instead of being the bullied and made fun of, he was now the one doing those to others. he wasn't proud of it at the slightest.

that doesn't excuse his actions though. the longer he spent time with you, the deeper he fell. sunghoon never planned for you to find out this way, he already had a plan. first he had to get rid of his 'friends', tell you everything then ask you if you still wanted him to meet your parents.

guilt always ate him alive whenever you would stay over and sleep by his side. he couldn't bring himself to meet your family knowing he hasn't told you everything and the truth.

he felt like his heart would jump out of his chest as he stood infront of the door of your house. if he died tonight on the hands of either your father or older brother, he'd welcome death with open arms.

i deserve it.

he audibly gulped when the door opened, revealing.. you. the way your brows furrowed at the sight of him tightened his chest. he stopped you before you could even close the door on him.

"y/n please, let me explain everything.. o-okay?" the way his voice cracked and the unshed tears in his eyes almost made you give in, but upon remembering what you've read, the anger in you was back.

"explain what?" you spat, turning to look over your shoulder before back at him. "that all those months i've spent loving you," you pointed at him harshly. "was just for entertainment? tell me, what was in it for you, huh?"

sunghoon shook his head, the tears now flowing down his pale cheeks. "no, no! i promise, please i love you." he reached out but you stepped back, biting your lip as you held back the tears.

"just.. leave me alone sunghoon," he felt his heart crack even more. "you've had your fun, you can laugh about i all you want now." you were taken aback when he knelt infront of you, hugging your waist as he sobbed.

"what the-" sunghoon tightened his grip on you, muttering along the words of 'im sorry', 'never meant to be like this', and something along the lines of regretting something.

"sunghoon- oh my god." you groaned as you descended to face him. "please, i didn't mean to. i-" he hiccuped, "i'm sorry, i know it was stupid and there's no reason for me to accept the bet- but i just wanted to fit in. i wanted them to take me as a part of their circle- but, but i soon realized that it was stupid." he looked at you with swollen eyes, desperation swam in his dark irises.

"because i realized that hurting you isn't worth being a part of their asshole group. it started with a bet, i admit, but i truly love you, please believe me." a sob made its way out his throat as he clung into you, his arms circling your neck. "it wasn't a lie whenever i said i'd meet your parents, i was constantly trying to get rid of them first before i met your family, i didn't want to meet them until i've told you the complete truth."

your own tears descended down your cheeks, your heart hurting for yourself and sunghoon. you stayed on the floor wrapped around each other for a moment before you both helped each other up to your feet, he looked at you intensely with red bloodshot eyes. "i'm sorry, i understand if you don't want anything to do with me anymore."

"i understand hoon," you whispered, bringing your hands to cup his face. "but you have to understand too that i can't trust you fully right up again." he nodded, putting his own hands on yours as he kissed your palms.

"i know.. and i'll spent the rest of my life earning it again. i love you."

As much as I want my page to be happy and fun, I have to talk about this insanity.

Fate/Fate Plus tour ended not even 24 hours ago. Almost all members voicing how relieved they are for it to be over, just for BeLift to announce another world tour today. Thankfully, a lot of people on Weverse, TikTok, and Twitter have started to bring more attention to the issue.

As much as I love and adore enhypen with all of my heart, I do not want to pay money to see them miserable or lack members up on stage. Their physical and mental state mean more to me than an interaction. I think most people can agree with me on this.

Sadly, as much as I’d love to push the idea of boycotting them, they will most likely feel that it is their fault. There really is no win in this situation. If we keep buying/streaming Belift wont stop, if we stop buying/streaming enhypen will feel disappointed in themselves and BeLift may toss them to the side and stop giving them any sort of support at all.

So, best course of action right now is to force BeLift to make them have a longer break than a month by basically spamming them in their comments on different platforms.

If you want to participate in this, great! There are many different tags and formats you can use that are being posted on Weverse and Twitter. Just copy and paste and spam it on BeLift and any official Kpop new source advertising about the tour.

If you read this far, I thank you for listening to what I have to say about this and I hope you take my words into consideration. Please keep in mind this is to protect Enhypen. If you do have Weverse, please send some kind words of support their way to show we do love them and none of this is their fault.

Just wanted to also state that, for now we are using the spamming method. If that does not work, I 100% think a boycott should be done.

Any tags used are to spread the word, disregard them.
