Imagine You Willingly Choose To Become A Kpop Idol, Train For Years, Debut. What Is Exactly An Idol?

Imagine you willingly choose to become a kpop idol, train for years, debut. What is exactly an idol? Someone you idolize, someone you choose as a role model, someone who brings you comfort through their various talents. It isn't only a singer who happens to dance at the same time. You have an image and that's the main thing about your job. For good or for worse, an idol's main asset is their personality and how good they are as a person.

Everyone knows that. So it always baffles me when idols get caught in questionable (at best) or criminal (at worst) activities. What exactly do you think would happen in an industry that creates a scandal from unnecessary issues like making eye contact or dating? It's not only a matter of being evil, but also of being an idiot. Of course someone would catch him at one point. Of course the victims would try to get justice eventually. Taeil literally threw in the trash years of work, training, stages. And it's not only a matter of him destroying his career. He stained his group forever. He didn't give a sh1t about them either. He was the oldest member too, someone they relied on, their best vocalist, someone they looked up to. He didn't give a sh1t about the staff and any other worker who put effort into his career. He didn't give a sh1t about the fans either. He wasn't the most biased member, but everyone liked him, everyone agreed on the supposed mistreatment by his company, everyone wanted him to sing more.

When you become an idol of a boy group, you know most of your fans will be young girls, who will think you are the best example of what a man should be, very different from the ones they meet irl. They dream of meeting someone like you. Then the dream pops like a balloon and you remember they are people too and people can be stupid, nasty, evil.

I really hope the victim of this crime will get justice and will heal.

I just watched Baekhyun's comeback's trailer and it's so crazy! The horror vibes were something I was not expecting AT ALL, I really don't know where he's heading to with his album, I'm super seated!

The fact that SM, the company that loves keeping their idols in the basement but still keeping them under contract, got rid ot Taeil so fast, even before news outlets came out, means that what he did is extremely serious, probably something that can bring him to court and get involved in legal procedures.

I'm shocked honestly. Yes, we never know what idols truly are irl, men in general can't be trusted, but I was not expecting it. I hope he gets what he deserves.
