I can relate. I’m so brain rotted by this game I went through a phase of having impeccable ability to find things that could be used as projectiles. Pallets, oil barrels, bricks, etc. I was convinced that I would need this information, that something would try to flank me and I needed to think fast.

It’s game transfer phenomenon. It was first reported by Tetris players but it can happen to anyone who spends too much time thinking about something specific. It physically alters your brain chemistry, too.

Me: *plays Half Life 2 for two and a half hours*

Me: That’s a good game session. Time to unplug and take a little mental health walk in nature! 

Me: *goes outside, hears airplane overhead*

My brain: OH NO, A COMBINE DROPSHIP! GRAB YOUR RPG-

caffeine has a half life of 3 activities
