Have you noticed in the first Descendants movie, right in the beginning when they finally got in Auradon, how Jay is so used to hold Carlos when he is afraid? I mean, how many times they were in the same situation as they did when the statue of the king turned into a beast? GOD, I dare you to tell me that Jay wouldn’t do anything to protect Carlos, to let him know that he is safe, right there, into his arms, with him.

I agree with this. We're not saying that his bad actions should be considered okay now, but that if the chance was given, he wanted to show how much he cared (and be cared for); he just didn't know how to.

He just never got the example of love or affection to follow.

He was shown as a child that when you don't get your way, you should react with anger and violence.

Just like how kids need adults to teach them how to be polite and help others, and do the right things. He didn't get that from anyone, but I think if he did, eventually he would learn how to express himself less angrily (and he would want to learn how as well).

he is so lonely and traumatized that as soon as he felt the warmth from a STRANGER, he did IT.

billy died to protect max and her friends, of whom he only knows the strange girl from the visions, and he is still considered terrible after that.

open your eyes already, billy didn't die an asshole. he died a hero, and if he had survived, he would have had a wonderful character development, but no.

fuck it.

the first time eddie visits your home, if you have a dog, he will absolutely toss you to the side and baby talk the animal and just lay in the floor with them

alternatively if you have a cat, he will play with their toys and let them climb all over him (if you have a kitten it may or may not end up being carried around in his jacket pocket the entire time he’s at your house)
