Something that’s sad for me to watch is the whitewashing of my heritage through the generations of my family. My grandma is fully Hispanic, married into a white family, and then my father did too, and now you’d never be able to guess that I had Hispanic heritage at all unless I told you directly. My grandma had to integrate herself into white society to survive and lost her culture in the process, ethnically and racially. So now there’s an entire part of my history that I feel like I have no claim to because I grew up in a predominately white household and I don’t want to impose upon the Hispanic community. I’m stuck in this limbo of wanting to learn more but not wanting to be own of ‘those’ white ppl if yk what I mean

Her first volume is currently in the works, I have technically written and drawn the whole thing but it was a rushed assignment and I want to opportunity to draw it without the pressure of a deadline

This is like the heaviest part of this volume so it’s not exactly a happy go lucky intro but it’s important to the rest of her story—there are still comedic parts to her comics (forgive me im awful at writing dialogue/jokes I’m trying my best over here) but a lot of it explores the darker sides of being a spiderman variant.
