Random question but how do you pin posts on this website? I kinda want to try having an informative blog introduction post. So people know what they are in for.

No context dialogue

Tiny bit of context this is an exchange between a demon and their human finance when the demon swallows the human to keep them safe in a Doom Eternal the world is overrun with monsters style apocalypse. Their names are Ava and Drevan I kinda don’t like Drevan’s name but the other name I want to give him belongs to a different character.

Ava: “Lemmeoutlemmeoutlemmeout”

Drevan: He winces guiltily and tries to sooth her by running his hands over her outline beneath his flesh* “Ava, it’s okay! you’re safe just calm down.” The words calm down are laced with magic the same magic he used to get her to walk towards him even when he was obviously nonhuman.

Ava: She finds herself suddenly involuntarily calm, her eyes narrow and she remembers feeling this way before. “Stop doing that” She growls giving one last kick to indicate her displeasure.

Drevan: He isn’t necessarily hurt by the kick but her tone does affect him. “Are you going to calm down and listen?”

Ava: “You ate me!”

Drevan: “Yeah sorry about that.”

Ava: “Sorry!? I’m literally still in your stomach! If you’re sorry spit me out!”

Drevan: “Sorry can’t.”

Ava: “Why not!?”

Drevan: “Because your a squishy mortal and everything outside wants to eat you? Also you’re safe with me Ava, you should know that.”

Ava: “Again I am literally in your stomach! Worrying about being eaten by anything else seems to be missing the point! Also you’re tall and scary now and have horns!”

Drevan: He touches his horns self consciously “What? you mean you don’t like them?”

Ava: “...I never said that.”

Drevan: “Also I was always tall...”

Ava: “Drevan, you broke the door-frame.”

Drevan: “It was in the way of getting to you.”

Ava: “It was a very nice door-frame.”

Drevan: “Yes, it was.”

Ava: “You used to be short enough to fit through it”

Drevan: “...Yes well, if I were that size now, how would I intimidate the other demons into not touching the woman I love?”

Ava: “Your sleeping on the couch if you don’t tell me what the hell is going on.”

Drevan: “Oh yeah about that...the couch was eaten by hellhounds sorry.”

Ava: “The couch was eaten by what!?”

Oddly this is my interpretation of why I identify with unwilling prey even though I like romantic vore scenarios, I have a fear of intimacy and trust issues so if the pred is doing vore out of twisted affection then to me the prey is more scared of the affection than the twistedness of it. Or the literal damage caused by fatal vore is a metaphor for the fear of being hurt in an intimate relationship due to trust issues. Interesting that a creator who doesn’t go for affection in their vore at all or identify with the prey perspective would have a similar thing.

Man sometimes I read about the concept of trust in vore and like..hhh idk why but it makes me slightly panicky on a personal level, idk how to explain it but trusting people is very much not easy for me, and the sheer thought of someone trusting me is terrifying and I don’t feel like I deserve it

Idk if it’s a trauma thing or what but it makes it hard for me to like safe vore most of the time, unless it’s with people I already trust

Do other people in the vore community experience this? Or am I just weird?

Actually I’ve kinda already got a draft for this concept. Maybe I should post it.

You know another thing that doesn’t go well with fetish art? Serious themes. Now mind you, I’ve seen fetish art with serious themes. Heck I’ve seen fetish art where the serious themes are essentially the fetish and still manage to be done well. But just cause it can be done doesn’t mean it’s not fucking hard to pull off.

Is there a hashtag for “I wish I could somehow be Neil Gaiman and slip an obvious fetish into a serious philosophical story about the state of American society and have it not only fit but add to the overall themes of the story?” It’s not even that I particularly think fetish art needs to be mainstream, I just covet  the sheer talent you’d need to pull it off.
