You know I don’t often write about sex, but I feel like writing about vore probably presents the same issues. In that you are writing about the same thing over and over and there are only so many words you can use to describe it. Also the reasons people are attracted to the scenes you are writing are poorly understood and it’s difficult to know if you are evoking the same emotions in the readers as you are evoking in yourself.
That feel when you have a really over indulgent vore story draft, chilling in your journal and you’re both desperate to show it off to people and determined to never allow it to see the light of day.
Hey so hypothetically...how many vore enjoying tumblr folk like Orc preds? Or inexplicably wholesome fatal vore? Or God/Mortal romances?
I usually focus on single target vore at least on screen. But the idea of a pred who is pretty ruthless and gluttonous having that one prey they refuse to eat not because they don’t want to but because they actually care about them is honestly amazing.
Especially if they have like a cuteness aggression response that causes their stomach to growl and stuff. The idea of a usually confident and pretty selfish individual getting cagey or flustered about exposing that part of themselves to someone they actually care about is just...*chefs kiss*
Ida meanwhile is no less a slave to her nature than Bastion, her problem is that she finds Bastion’s unapologetic inhumanity easier to deal with than humanity. It’s not why she loves him but it’s why she’s chosen to squat in the Manor despite it being an admitted honey trap. The thing about Fae Danger is that it’s obvious to the genre savvy. It’s also impersonal (at least at first and by the time she realises it isn’t in Bastion’s case she’s in too deep herself) Ida does not have sane coping mechanisms, but she’s self-aware enough and empathetic enough that you can mistake her for an ordinary person. Until you realise that she’s more afraid of the idea of Bastion not loving her than she is the idea of him eating her and that she protects her own life more out of obligation than because she understands that her own life has value.
I recently visited the roleplay chat on Eka’s Portal…I was frozen by social anxiety and didn’t actually do any roleplay though.
