Pungent scent of medicated potions lingered in the air of the Queens’ bedroom as it now transformed itself into a makeshift home clinic. The royal physician Taehyung sat on the edge of the bed while Jungkook lay on the soft surface, half conscious. White cloth pressed against the males’ forehead, sweat beads gathered around his temples. Every breath he took trembled as light whines emitted at each weak heave. 

Belle stood near one of the pillars of her bed, concern twisting her features even though she tried her to keep her composure. As far as everyone was concerned, she still had an arranged marriage with Hoseok. So an air of calmness had to stretch across her face. 

Taehyung hooked a fingers on the bandage, letting a light sigh as he did. A patch of red soak through the bandage already. “It’s a surface wound. They will heal in a week or two.” He turned to face the Queen, hands placed on his lap.

Sure she was only two years old, but she was talking and sleeping at a set time and that was honestly everything. That last thing he missed was waking up in the middle of the night to a screaming baby and having no idea what was wrong with her.

He watched her snuggle up to her stuffed animal before softly shutting the door. He ran a hand through his hair as he walked into his bedroom to see you laying in bed reading. He let out a soft groan as he flopped onto the bed besides you. You laughed and combed your fingers through his hair watching him grin up at you.

Shattered glass, broken wood, screaming people, and all chaos fragmented around you yet the only thing you could focus on were them. The seven pairs of eyes who decided to make things more interesting by alarming the whole place with a single firing of a gun. Whatever he meant, that Kim Namjoon, leader of the most dangerous Bangtan mafia gang, you couldn’t decide whether he was telling the truth or not.

Why would he?

You didn’t know him and he didn’t know you. Why would he tell you such a thing? The man, along with the six of his gang members, were nothing but cruel and ruthless—at least that was what you heard from rumors. There was only seven yet you heard they were more powerful than a hoard of mafias combined. You hadn’t ever seen them in action, you hadn’t ever seen them at all, until now.

One night, vampire yoongi had a dream: y/n was the vampire, and he was the human. He saw his relationship with her through human eyes, and it soon turned into a nightmare because he imagined when he died, she'd be alone forever (which the mere thought of her sadness forever gave him the biggest heartache). When he woke up, it was the first time he ever felt the greatest desire to turn her.

there were days where yoongi truly, truly appreciated the fact that he was able to sleep whenever he wanted. if it wasn’t already peaceful to sleep alone, having you by his side made him anticipate for when the moon comes out and the blanket 

but tonight… yoongi would be damned to say that was the case.

he had the… chance to see things from a different perspective, through the lenses of another in a relationship of two and that was none other than you. for once, he got to know how it felt like to be human again. to feel so much more than just the emotions within the range he could as a vampire. heightened with a beating heart when he stared into your eyes that was once a color by nature, now crimson like the blood he has flowing in his veins.

a heart that was beating for you. that stopped when time took over and the sight of you so alone reflected the loneliness he would face when you were gone from the face of earth.

yoongi wakes up with heavy breathing, as if he’s been pressed down by a boulder on his chest and restricted with his surroundings but in reality, a hand he’s come to hold until he could trace the outlines with his memory if he wanted to, gripping onto him with worry swimming in the eyes of the owner. he sits up because it’s too much to be laying down, much more when you’re helping him. it’s not that he can’t move on his own, his body could withstand and do more than a normal human but because of one, that has affected him in more than just one way, he’s having difficulties. 

he manages, though.

along with words.

“what’s wrong?” your voice is soft, gentle, innocent - too innocent that yoongi feels he’s about to regret what he’s about to tell you but he has to. building a relationship out of trust and love, trust is so important and he’d go against his words to hide things from you. especially when they revolve around you.

it was hard, but yoongi pulls through. each word chosen carefully from the start, ending with one attack after another because he can’t control his feelings that well. your hands, cradling his cheeks in order to hold him together can’t do as much. his hands join to overlap, a backing force to help you help him and it’s only until he gets out all the words he wishes to say. every scene, piece after piece, stuck together in a timeline of how things were with you and him in reality, seemed to have taken a toll in yoongi’s realm of imagination.

“please say something,” his voice is strained, which makes no sense because he fed last night. this only happens when this is something that affects him heavily. gulping, you shift on the bed until you’re caging him in with thighs casing his own. his hands are shaking when you try to move them away, so you flip them over to hold onto them tight. he refuses to look at you, he can’t and you understand.

but yoongi caves in because it’s you.
