Few AUs have festered in my mind like @emelinstriker ESAU has.

Their “this is an X Reader scenario” has my mind in an endless grip. The possibilities are endless, especially since said reader is reincarnated…who knows how many times.

… but then there’s that part of my brain that goes “okay but… what if they had a nightmare of the stuff that happens in ‘other universes?’ in this case, since it is specified this AU does not have the Lady Bone Demon (though the designs are inspired by them- very nice btw) how would the reader react when they have nightmares of this strange, powerful being, that has seized her favorite monkies and is hurting them in ways the reader never wanted them to endure? (I’m still not over those scenes of- spoilers for season 3- EVERYTHING that LBD did to Macaque, and Wukong getting taken over, even temporarily. Just… oh my goodness.) there’s still a lot more to the AU I’m sure but… i think it’s safe to say the Reader would be hugging their Wukong and Macaque with all their strength and would not let go. You know…

Anyway. Been working on these for… a few days? Almost a week? Gotta start just throwing these doodles out there instead of letting them fester and be forgotten in my drafts.

Decided to draw Wukong traditionally while listening to General Conference. I think he turned out pretty well!

Your last picture reminded me of something I wanted to ask, if it's okay?

I recently got my haircut, and I do this like every 2 to 3 years as a way to decompress and make things more manageable.

So a thought hit me: given what peaches is having to deal with, and you typically draw her with long hair. What if she cut her hair short? (Mine's a pixie cut, but you can do any sort of length)

Because I want to know what the celestial monkeys reactions are? It can either be the girl's or the boy's reaction. Though a situation I can see playing out, if she cuts her hair by herself, Macaque can hear it but doesn't assume anything bad, so doesn't do anything about it until they both see the results later...

They would be big fans, though Wukong would be a little sad to see the long locks go. If this wasn’t reincarnated Peaches and if Wukong wasn’t holding back from aggressively dominating her life this time, Wukong definitely wouldn’t have let her cut her hair but after seeing it he for sure adores the look.

I could see Macaque liking it from the start. Likes the feel of the short locks curled around his fingers, especially in moments of passion. Macaque wouldn’t openly encourage the action, but doesn’t discourage it either and wouldn’t tell Wukong about the sound of cutting hair.
