another reddit refugee. he/him. pfp is an edited picture of an amazon listing for like 50 kazoos. Specifically the kazoos that were at one time in 8 bit drummer's list of gear. I just thought it was funny how obvious the photoshop was.

if you keep liking my posts we’re gonna end up like this

This is absolutely catastrophic.
all these retro style games that are like "NO tutorials NO handholding" apparently forgot about the little books that used to come with your game that detailed all the mechanics, controls, special moves, lore, maps, collectables, means of unlocking additional content, character bios, etc

Doing this to all of you

Reblog to get sent assumptions about you. Interests, habits, favourite colour, height, anything goes >:3

Does this count? It's so dark out here.
(I genuinely didn't explore it. I went one cell over, saw another pop in, then gave up on exploring "normally". I'm not sure if there is a real escape that I missed.)

What I did: went through the small triangle and into the void.
hey check this out
having audio processing issues is so humiliating like yeah i heard you and yeah i was actively listening but the problem is i dont know what the fuck you sayed

when the music doesnt have captions
There's an update to the app? Hopefully it's not mandatory yet...
Recently I haven't been able to find any non-split Tumblr APKs. (which are required to patch with ReVanced currently)
The last version to have a normal APK was 35.3.0.110 [APKMirror]
I tried merging the latest version with some random GitHub project, which seemed to work until ReVanced threw an error trying to resign it.
It doesn't really matter if I'm using the latest version of Tumblr today, but I'm concerned about what might happen when they make breaking changes or purposefully block older versions. (Or make another April Fools event. [I don't want to miss any of those :) ]).
Also, the split APKs I got from APKMirror and APKPure were entirely different for some reason. (APKMirror had a lot of languages, whereas APKPure just didn't). (Also, they were different file extensions for a zip. That's expected though).
I'm not even sure if this link works. When I click on it, it pulls up Spotify then doesn't do anything else. The mix doesn't even seem to exist for me. I might retry this at some point soon.
I have an awful idea...
How many of you have a Spotify account and are willing to add it to a mix?
I figure since Spotify lets you mix up to 10 accounts together into a mix playlist, and only a few people follow me, I could make a Spotify mix out of my followers/mutuals.
I'm not sure if I should just make it fully public or vet each person before DMing them a link.
I got this idea from making a mix with my brother. When I clicked the button to open the prompt to send the link, the #1 recommended app was Tumblr, not any messaging app.
My Spotify recommendations are completely scrambled btw. I don't expect it to be a good playlist.

This will be you soon ^
?????
Based on the fact this only got 4 votes, I think it'll be fine if I just leave this here:

you liked everything i posted for the last few days lmao
I'm sure there's something I missed.
Much better GIFs:

There are two more of them below the cut.

If you're on a desktop, open these in a separate tab* at 100% scale or use something like smart upscale.
(It doesn't matter what specifically you use, just look at these with integer scaling.)
(*assuming that there is an option to open in a separate tab. I don't see one as I'm drafting this, but I think that's just because I just uploaded the GIFs right now.)
I put a lot of effort into changing the character set just for BigBlueTerminal.
(A lot of effort mostly because I'm dumb and didn't check the linked blog post about its creation. I found the font through NerdFonts initially. [Which also added to the difficulty, because of all the additional characters. {That aren't bitmaps.}])
Aside from the font, this is also a newer version of the project. (1.1.0 I think. 1.2.0 didn't change anything visually.)
Droplets now spawn per column, and not just at a fixed rate regardless of width.
Droplets have a chance to spawn somewhere other than the top of the screen.
Additionally, the screen capture method is better, leading to more correct-looking colors.
Finally, because the font isn't anti-aliased, the GIF doesn't have to waste colors on the palette for grayscales.
TLDR; The GIFs are better.
For the -1 people who asked, this doesn't mean there's going to be an update. It's going to sit until I remember it again someday.
I'm only making this post because they tagged what I thought of as a fairly bad GIF as #art, and I realized that I haven't uploaded the better GIFs here.
(I don't think it deserves to be #art though.)
I made a digital rain thing.
Here's a gif:

GitHub and other info under the cut.

It's a C# .NET project available as source code, a Nuget package, or a GitHub release.
Both the source and Nuget versions require you to have dotnet installed, but the GitHub releases are self-contained.
If you don't want to run some random executable, here's a YouTube video that is just 30 minutes of it running.
It's quite hackable and modifiable. As an example, there's a branch with a bunch of pride flag colors.
