Ursula K. Le Guin's 1969 Novel The Left Hand Of Darkness Was A Big Deal In Feminist Science Fiction For
Ursula K. Le Guin's 1969 novel The Left Hand of Darkness was a big deal in feminist science fiction for being one of the first widely popular and critically acclaimed works to do cool shit with sex and gender (which was certainly nothing new, but previous such works had rarely "taken off" the way LHoD did). It was criticized for referring to the genderfluid characters with the indefinite "he," which was a la mode in style guides at the time, instead of using alternating or gender-neutral pronouns. In time Le Guin came to agree with this criticism; she considered her decision not to take things further one of her biggest literary regrets, stating that "I am haunted and bedeviled by the matter of the pronouns."
I tell you this only because the phrase "I am haunted and bedeviled by the matter of the pronouns" is one I think about a lot.

Under no circumstances do this. At all. It would be awful. For the streaming companies.
Streaming companies are the landlords of media. You will rent in perpetuity, and never actually own anything.
rb for the last one but crucially important to this is the ability of one to metamorphose from goth ghoul to summer faerie as soon as temps are above 17 degrees (my thermal regulation skills are rather lacking, im afraid)

My friend's kid gave me pinkeye and I have been on a particularly fuckt up sleep schedule about it and dreamed an entire Italian Opera on the themes of heaven and hell and the power of love and recognition of the self in other and the tragedy of loving the idea of something rather than the thing itself and the dream ended with the phrase "-And then it was banned EVERYWHERE."
