I Have Never Agreed With Something More Than This Post.
I have never agreed with something more than this post.
This is a reminder. I am adamantly against allowing your cat to roam freely outside. I'm very for indoor only, leash trained, cations, or escape proofed back yards for cats. But if your cat is physically capable of leaving your property on its own where it will face predators, cars, poisons, people with pellet/bb guns, diseases, etc, you are an irresponsible owner of that cat.
I don't care what country you're from. No country is completely magically free of any danger to or from your cat. Indoor outdoor cats may be the norm there, but that doesn't mean it's safe. If your indoor outdoor cat made it to old age, congrats it's an outlier. As a vet tech both in general practice and in a shelter I see what happens to most indoor outdoor cats regularly. I have photos I can share, and stories.
You will not change my mind.
I will die on this hill.
If you are upset or angry about this, block me. If you send me messages to say your situation is different, I will block you. If you comment about how x country really is safe, I will block you. I'm sick of this shit.

It's great! He should be proud of it!
so my dad is a college professor and he just got alerted recently that in an effort to go “paperless,” the faculty is having their printers taken away. My dad decided to take this opportunity and… create a meme? So he goes proudly up to me and tells me “I created a meme!!!” and lo and behold…

my dad’s first meme
he was so proud of it and he emailed it individually to other faculty and nobody gave him any acknowledgement, he came into my room all sad. pls share to give my father the meme support he deserves

He Didn’t Mind
“What are you doing up so late?”
The flicking of the light switch bathed you in a blinding light, you looked at the counter top you were currently sitting on and waited for your eyes to adjust.
“Dove,” he softly called to you, his arms caressing the side of your crossed legs, “It’s like three in the morning, what are you doing up?”
“Nightmare.” You mumbled, squinting to look at him as the blinding light had consumed your vision.
“Do you want to talk about it?”
“Can you just,” You tiredly put a hand on his chest, “Can you just hold me?”
“Okay, okay.” He nodded and snaked his arms around you; wrapping your arms around his neck, you pulled yourself closer to him. You legs wrapped around him, and your head was buried between his neck and your arm.
“Don’t let me go, Mikey.” You pulled him closer to you, your tears falling on his skin.
“I won’t, dove.” He pressed a soft kiss against your head before leaning into you, “I won’t.”
You never talked about your nightmares, he would ask you the same question every time you woke up with a scream, you always answered the question with wanting him close to you.
He didn’t mind.
“You know what, we make a pretty good team.”
“We destroyed the kitchen, Mikey.”
“But at least we did it together.”
“I don’t even think this is edible.”
“Yeah,” He slung his arm across your shoulder, “That’s definitely not edible.”
“How did we even mess up box Mac and Cheese this bad?”
“I blame you.”
“You blame me!” You shoved your elbow into his side, while chuckling along with him.
“You’re distracting!”
“You’re distracting.” You mocked him and squealed when he hoisted you up on the counter top.
“Very distracting.” He tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, his eyes roaming your face.
You smiled under his touch, and wrapped your arms loosely around his neck, “Should we leave this mess for your brothers to clean up?”
“I like what you’re thinking, dove.”
“Let’s go back to my place,” you hopped off of the countertop, “We can get food delivered.”
“I definitely like what you’re thinking.”
“Then let's go, before your brothers come in looking for food.” You giggled and started to pull him out of the lair, you both chuckling while walking from the lair.
The roar of your names from his brothers’ lips caused you both to go into a fit of laughter and run faster from the lair.
Escaped from the sewers, and resting in your apartment, he spoke,
“You certainly love to get me in trouble, dove.”
“I do.” You walked over to his relaxing frame on your couch, you sat between his legs facing him, “That's what makes me a good teammate.”
“You have no idea what you’re doing to me, dove.”
“Maybe I do,” you leaned closer to him, you lips ghosting above him, “I know exactly what I’m doing to you.” Your hands cupped his face while his softly gripped your hips.
He didn’t mind when you got him in trouble, when you would tease him, when you would allure him to your secluded apartment, when you kissed him.
He didn’t mind.
“Somebody’s in love!”
“Mikey, we’ve been dating for almost a year.”
“You’re not denying it.”
You rolled your eyes and pressed a kiss on his cheek, “No, I’m not denying it.”
He pulled up into a tight hug, your back against his front and his arms trapping yours under his grip.
“Mikey, I have to make dinner.”
“We can just order pizza.”
“If you make me eat another pizza, I swear I will dump you right now.”
“You wouldn’t.”
“How much you want to bet, pretty boy?”
He kissed you cheek one more time before nuzzling his face into your neck, his arms slipping from capturing your arms and moved to be around your waist.
“Compromise?”
“Compromise.”
He relaxed as he held you in his arms, his mind drifting into daydreams.
“You two are unbearably sweet.”
“Hush up if you want dinner, Don.”
He didn’t mind when you acted as if his family was yours, when you would tease as joke as a couple, when you showed that you two loved one another in a goofy unique way.
He didn’t mind.
“You’re in trouble now.” A soft gasp escaped your lips as he pressed you against your countertop, the action causing some of the flour caked on his face to dust away.
“What are you going to do about it?”
You let out a scream as he smothered unbaked dough down the side of your face. You struggled under him, your arms blocking his hand that dripped with the dough.
“Sweeten up, sweetness.” He chuckled while his hand crawled towards your face.
“Mikey. Mikey, no!” You shouted before his hand planted itself on the side of your face, his fingers pressed against your ears. You whined and shoved his hand off of you, you attempted to wipe off the sticky dough.
“Ew, Mikey, gross.”
“You should be happy,” he pulled you close to him with his clean hand, “Now we can take a shower together.”
“Well,” Your flour covered hands trailed a powdery path up his chest and around his neck, “You should clean up your messes.”
“Are you saying what I think you’re saying, dove?”
“You tell me, Mikey.” You started taking steps towards the bathroom, your hands pulling him by the ends of his mask. A smirk played on his lips, both his hands grabbing your waist, him stumbling after you. His arms slithered down to your hips to hoisted you onto his waist. Once he did so, your arms wrapped around his neck and your lips were on his. You were carried to the bathroom and he sat you on the countertop, he pulled away from you and stared at your relaxed face.
“I think I'm in love you.”
“If you didn’t I’d be a bit concerned.”
“Now I know I’m totally in love with you.”
“Mikey,” your eyes opened and your hands cupped his face, “You have no idea how much I love you.”
“I could believe that,” his slowly leaned more closely into you, “But you should show me how much you love me.”
“I will.”
He didn’t mind when he felt like he was your everything, and he didn’t mind seeing you as his everything.
“It’s okay, Mikey, it’s okay.”
“It’s not okay!” He cried out, his eyes blurred as your feet hovered above the city.
“It’s okay.”
“No, I’m not dropping you,” his tears a blood mixed in with one another, “My brothers, they’ll be here, just a little longer.”
“Mikey, I love you.”
“No! No goodbyes!”
“It’s time.”
“No, please.”
“You have to let me go.”
“No!”
You hung onto his dislocated arm, the pain written on his face. The blood from the multiple slices on his arm began to drip down onto your dangling figure. His weapons were gone, he had no way to protect you, but the spear in your hand remained as you dangled about the height that would bring your death.
“What do we have here?” Mikey cried out in pain as a foot slammed on his shell, the silver armor shined under the sun. You eyes flicked from the turtle who was desperate to keep you, to the man who wanted your demise.
“I love you, Mikey.”
“No, what are you doing?” He was frantic, he wanted to save you, and you wanted to save him.
“I’m sorry.” You pushed your feet against the side of the building, the force caused his grip to release you. It all happened in slow motion.
Mikey’s cries were like waves.
The man seemed to smirk under the mask.
But something launched out of your hands.
You felt as though you were in a cheesy action movie as the spear in your hand flew into the air and struck the man. He fell away from the turtle who was screaming at you. You smiled softly at the turtle before your eyes closed, and you accepted what was to come next.
“Mikey!” The brothers caught sight of him and pulled him to safety, all focused on his multiple cuts and crying eyes.
“Y/N.” His voice was hoarse, “They’re gone.”
“What are you talking about Mikey?”
“They’re gone, they-they were holding my hand. And now, they’re gone.”
“Mikey we have to go.”
His brothers carried him away from the rooftop, your falling figure glued to his eyes.
He would gasp waking up, his arm always aching, always dreaming that when he would awaken you would be next to him. Nightmares of your passing overpowered the few dreams of a happy ending. Every morning without you was a grim reminder of what he had lost, and the ghost of himself that he could never return to.
He didn’t mind when you decided to save him and his family.
Only, he did mind.
He minded a lot.

I was walking through the toy aisle at Target when I found this thing and had a VIOLENT AND IMMEDIATE FLASHBACK to when JP first came out and they had a bunch of REALLY COOL T Rex toys that I would have sold one of my scrawny small-child limbs for but my mother wouldn’t get me one because they were “too violent and also ate people” :(
