Inside the drawer, many crumpled pieces of paper were poorly hidden. Looking around once more, Death reached his hand into the drawer. Whatever was on the papers was difficult to read, the papers themselves being wrinkled and crumpled up.

Gently, Death took one of the sheets of paper and tried to smoothen it out. As he did, he faintly registered the noise of someone skipping towards him. He blinked. It couldn’t be-?

“Boss Boss Boss! Got your Koffee! I mean, what a coincidence, Patrick already had one waiting-Boss?” Quinn stopped. They looked at Death with wide eyes, but they couldn’t see what Death was holding.

It was a day like any other. Long. Repetitive. Boring. And Death was getting antsy. So he moved from his desk and decided to take a walk, sighing with quiet relief as he finally moved from his chair.

He moved along quietly, figuring that he'd get some koffee. Maybe have a talk with Jocelyn or Quinn. Pump Quinn's own desk was on the way to where he was heading, so he decided he'd check in on them first.

He turned a corner and approached where they sat, back to him. The vague sound of scratching pencil on paper piqued his interest. As well as the small pile of crumpled balls nearby.

He remained quiet as he moved closer, curiosity growing.

“Yes, Boss, of course, Boss!” Quinn replied in obedience.

They took out a shaft and checked off some boxes with their pencil. Death was going to handle it, so there was no need to worry! Quinn hummed to themselves as the other employees muttered sourly and left.

Quinn looks up, glancing around Death’s office.

“Oh, boy, Boss! This place sure is crammed with paperwork…”
