jason is the kind of guy in college that you have a sorta toxic and mutually unbeneficial situationship with.

he’s bad for you… so so sooooo bad for you, but you’re so young and naïve, only in your sophomore year in college. he’s horrible, treating you like you’re expendable one moment, then picking you up from your dorm and reading you sonnets in his car in the next. he’s hot and cold, acting like he loves you dearly, then going ghost for days at a time.

he’s bad for you; he tells you he loves you when his dick is shoved halfway down your throat, kisses your forehead while he fucks you in missionary, looking at you like you hung up the moon and stars themselves. then the next few days, won’t answer your calls or texts.

the type of situationship that involves pretending you don’t know each other when you see each other around campus because its embarrassing to be seen with such a known asshole, but when his frat throws a party, you’re always on his arm when he leaves. he says it’s fine because everyone’s so drunk and self-involved that they won’t notice the two of you or your absence. he’s right, but its the principle of it all; it’s embarrassing, the way you allow yourself to bend to the whims of some guy in his early twenties because he has slight accent and pretty eyes.

he takes you on late night drives in his blacked-out camaro, racing down the interstate at all times of the night just because he feels like it. he does a lot of thing because he feels like it; like leaving hickies all over your neck, knowing you’ll be mad about it when you look in the mirror in the morning. like making empty promises regarding little dates and romantic escapades you two could take.

he’s not good for you, and you know it, yet you stay entertaining his bullshit. the unhealthy obsession the two of you will develop will fuck up the way you see love for a hot minute, but you can’t seem to see that.

the type that you know he’ll never fully give you the girlfriend title, and honestly you shouldn’t wanna be his girlfriend because he isn’t in a space where he could be good for you, and probably wont be until well after college. the type where you look back on that time of your life while in grad school, and cringe at how you allowed yourself to be manipulated and kinda used just because he had a pretty face and liked poetry or whatever.
