"His hands were invariably blotted with ink and stained with chemicals, yet he was possessed of extraordinary delicacy of touch, as I frequently had occasion to observe when I watched him manipulating his fragile philosophical instruments."
— Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, A Study in Scarlett.
Don't even try to convince me John wasn't gay for Sherlock.

He is a little queer in his ideas—an enthusiast in some branches of science.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, A Study In Scarlett.
Queer he is, for sure 👀
Dear Sherlock,
Sometimes I remember this man:

Who then slowly became this man

And cares so much now:

And I smile.
I remember the man who said:

And then, admitted:

And then declared to a roomful of people

“There was one, and only one feature of interest in this baffling case, and quite frankly, it was the usual: John Watson.”
Who gave John this look before giving up his work, his life, and everything:

Who so hesitantly, but finally did this:

And this time, tears well up in my eyes as I smile.
You were, and will always be a great man, Sherlock, but I think that slowly, you’re becoming a good man too.
So congratulations, my love
AND A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

You ever see your OTP just STARE at each other and just-

Okay but the thing that still bothers me about this is that during John’s wedding, Sherlock is the one getting jealous. Not Mary, god forbid the bride gets jealous of her husband being intimate with someone else.
It’s traditional to show one of the people getting married in a wedding episode getting jealous of the other’s ex. Sherlock is literally the only show in which the “best friend” gets jealous of the groom, not the bride.
Honestly, this entire episode. John proposes to Sherlock about being his best man but where does John actually propose to his would-be wife?
Instead of showing intimate memories and flashbacks from John and Mary’s life together in the episode centred around their wedding, what do we get? John and Sherlock getting drunk and having fun. and essentially being very gay.
Instead of John and Mary saying their vows, who makes a vow? SHERLOCK!!!
Wake up people!!! How is this straight? Honestly, if you think Johnlock is an overblown fantasy, heteronormavity has truly reached its peak.
