summery.. everything was going great for Jeong Yunho. He got back into college to continue studying science, moved into his own apartment with his girlfriend, and the holiday's were coming up so he could spend time with his aunt finally after a long semester. he thought nothing in the world could mess this up.. until he took up that damn internship at the Kim's Industries. shit always starts to hit the fan when you're in the presence an avenger, doesn't it? you don't even know them, yet a sob story is waiting to happen.

HOME

music blazing from downstairs and the smell of bacon is what aura woke up to so early in the morning. she looks over at the small digital clock on the dresser, seeing it was nearly 7am in the morning. slightly groaning, she makes her way out of bed and down stairs to where all the noise is coming from.

“yunho?” she let out as she rubbed her eyes, finally in the view of the kitchen where she sheds her boyfriend dancing around as he flipped some pancakes. “yunho!” she raised her voice, hoping to be heard over all the loud music.

when that fails, she moves over to the speakers, turning the volume down. yunho frowns, turning his attention to where she stands before smiling again when he notices it was her. “good morning baby,” he beamed his smile towards her as he put the last pancake onto a plate.

“what’s with all the music so early? and why did you cook?” aura asked with a small suspicion of what he was going to say, sitting down onto one of the island chairs. yunho places a plate of food infront of her, leaning onto the counter. “No reason, i just wanted to be a good boyfriend and feed my girlfriend. is that bad?” yunho answered, not fully convincing aura as she took her first bite.

“what do you want yunho?” she takes another bite, raising her eyebrow at him as she chewed. yunho sighs, taking a few moments before asking. “can you get me a internship at the Kim’s Industries please?” yunho put on his best puppy face as he could. “you’ve been asking that for week yuyu, i can’t just go up to my boss and demand him to give you an internship.”

it’s true, he’s been begging her for weeks to get him this internship. everytime it has been met with a “no yunho,” “sorry i can’t yunho,” or the most famous one “you don’t need the internship yunho, just find a beginner job that specializes in your field.”

he didn’t understand why she just couldn’t try for him at least.

“if i’m being honest yuyu, you don’t need the internship. plus this place is too advanced for you right now, you should start at a beginner level at most. you probably won’t even understand what’s going on half of the time,” she giggled at her own joke, taking another bite.

he sighed, giving up on the conversation already. “okay,” he mumbled..

KIM’S INDUSTRIES

“he keeps bugging me about it! like please shut the fuck up about the damn internship,” Aura ranted to her friend, Nate as they packaged up some old syringes filled with an unknown substance.

Nate nodded as he half listened to her, and half payed attention to the packages. “The internship could bring him a lot of opportunities ura-“

“i don’t want to see his face everywhere i go. i see him enough at home, seeing him at the place i work is just pushing it at that point,” she rolled her eyes at the thought of that, finishing one package and moving onto the next one. “But he’s fit for the job. he’s smart as hell for one, not just in science but engineering as well. have you not see him in high school? he won each invention convention while he was there! that’s impressive as fuck,” nate went on and on about yunho, progressively pissing aura off more.

hongjoong walks in, vanilla milkshake in his hand as he slurps it. going unnoticed by the two packaging, he sits down on a stool, listening to nate.

“how could you not want one of the smartest motherfuckers, aka YOUR boyfriend having an internship here? possibly working here! you of all people should understand what science and all this other bullshit means to yunho.” nate ends his rant off with that, looking over at his friend. aura sighs, looking away. nate frowns, before letting out a small chuckle, knowing the reasoning.

a loud slurp comes from behind them, startling them as they whip around to see where the noise came from. hongjoong continued to slurp until there was nothing left. he tosses the cup into the trash, moving his attention back to the employees infront of him. “your boyfriend wants an internship here?” he questioned, clearly his throat slightly

aura nods, confused but also still recovering from the moment of shock she had just experienced. “bring in him,” hongjoong says simply. “what?” aura thought she was hearing things. no way he just said bring him in.

“bring him in, tomorrow preferably. from the way nate here talked about him, he seems like a nice kid.”

“he’s 24.”

“still a kid. bring him in, and i’ll interview him to see if he’s perfect for it,” and with that, hongjoong gets up to leave, but stops mid way. “throw that box over there when you get the chance, it has a few old full defected syringes and needles that i haven’t gotten rid of yet,” He pointed to a small box. the others nod quickly as he walked out..

for the past few weeks, yunho has been trying to find a job, or something of the sort to keep him occupied when he’s not at college. each job he’s seen either didn’t have what he wanted or didn’t accept him. he was beginning to become frustrated with this.

he looked over at the clock, seeing it was nearly time for aura to get off of work. he closed his laptop and took off his glasses. he grabbed his phone from besides his dimmed desk lamp light, texting aura.

turning off the lap and grabbing his keys, he went out to go pick her up..

he didn’t expect to making it to the Kim’s Industries building so quickly, but nonetheless he’s glad he made it just in time. He gets out the car, locking the doors as he walked to the entrance.

he loves this place despite not working there. currently it’s emptying out as people are leaving since their shift has ended, night workers coming in as well. he sat down in one of the closet chairs to him, going into his phone as he waiting for aura to come down.

“jeong yunho?” yunho peaks up at the sound of his name, looking at the man who called him. yunho mind goes blank as he stares at the man, Kim Hongjoong.

“you’re going to keep sitting there or what?” hongjoong questioned with a small chuckle as yunho quickly comes to his feet, a complete nervous wreck. “hello,” yunho says softly. “why is he speaking to me?” yunho thought.

“you didn’t come in for the interview, why’s that? i’ve been trying to catch you one of these nights but aura seems to push you out as soon as you’re here,” hongjoong beams a soft smile at him, waiting for a response.

“interview? i didn’t know i had a interview here..i don’t remember signing up for anything.” yunho fumbled with his hands, equally anxious and confused.

“oh,” that all hongjoong could master out at that response. “my apologies, i thought i sent the email. please if you’re interested, come in tomorrow. i’m thinking of giving internships to students who are interested in this field of work. i’ve heard lots about you from aura,” hongjoong put his best performance up infront of yunho, smiling despite being slightly annoyed.

yunho’s face glows up as he hears this. keeping his composure, he nods excitedly. hongjoong chuckles at this, patting yunho’s shoulder. “you’ll make a excellent partner to have,” he comments before walking away. his expressing complete changing as he walks away.

as he makes his way to the elevators, he hears the buildings door open and close, with small chatting that he recognizes as yunho and aura’s voice.

the elevator doors open, and yeosang’s moving to walk out but he felt a hand touch his chest, pushing him back him. his mouth open into a “o” as the elevator doors close.

“i need you to do something for me,” Hongjoong pressed a button, pushing his free hand into his pocket.

“which is?”

“find out everything about jeong yunho. skills, grades, college, birthday, doctor appointments-“

yeosang frowns.

“..maybe not those, but everything okay?”

“alright,” yeosang sighs.

“by the way, you should really start fighting back. getting you back into this elevator was entirely too easy. it’s honestly pathetic.”

“..okay.”
