Quiet footsteps pitter-patter across hardwood floors as you stand at the stove, watching the bubbles begin to break the surface of the egg you had just placed in the pan. Turning around, a smile etches onto your face when you see doe eyes that belong to Eri; still in her Eraserhead pyjamas and clutching her Illusionaire stuffy.
"What are you cooking?" she whispers softly before clinging to your leg.
"Hmm, I don't know, maybe my favourite little girl's food in the whole world."
"You're making tamagoyaki?!" she yells in excitement.
"Shh!" you say softly with a giggle before gently rubbing her back. "But yes, I'm making tamagoyaki along with some miso soup, rice and fish cakes."
Eri stays quiet after that, clinging to your leg as the smell of eggs fills the room, causing a small smile to form. Once you finished a few of the cylindrical omelettes, you feel Eri tug on your shirt, wanting you to bend to her level. When you do, you get a kiss on the cheek and a quick;
"Thank you, mommy,"
She takes the plate with a gleeful smile and quickly makes her way to the small dining room table you had placed just outside the kitchen. An even brighter smile replaces your previous one as you stand.
"She really loves you,"
Turning around you see Shota with his hair in a bun, grey sweatpants and a black shirt hanging off of him from the night's previous rest. With a grin, you begin to clean up.
"I was so worried she wouldn't accept me, or even Shinso wouldn't want me around."
"Well they both love you and everything you do for them," he says as he dries his hands off from doing the dishes.
"They love you too you know,"
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know. Probably for different reasons though."
You snort softly before pulling him close to you by his sweatpants, gently swaying your hair out of your face with the flick of your head.
"And? Do you love me?" you ask with a grin.
"Shut up,"
He kisses you in between giggles, your arms slowly wrapping around his neck as your lips play an intricate dance. You feel his hands wrap around your waist, slowly lifting you up from the floor a little as you nibble on his bottom lip just a touch.
"You two can be really gross,"
With a soft groan, Aizawa breaks the kiss and nuzzles his head into your neck out of both embarrassment and annoyance. You slightly turn your head with a grin to see an exhausted Shinso, looking just as annoyed as his (adoptive) father.
"Go help Eri set the table and we will be right there,"
He simply nods before walking away, a subtle 'humph' coming from Aizawa once he leaves. You reluctantly pull away, tucking a stray piece of hair behind his ear with a smile. You hand off a few plates to him which he expertly takes into the next room. Following with the last few dishes, you look at the little family before you.
Aizawa already helping Eri put food on her plate while Shinso lets a soft grin slide. The way your daughter's eyes light up and the sight of the fluffy egg. To put a cherry on top, you gently placed a fish cake on the side before laying them on the table for everyone else to eat.
Yes, looking at your family, it was little moments like these that gave you peace.

Why do you reblog your own fics so much?
Because someone might as well!? And look at this. Look. At. This.

Does this look right to you??
These are just the last three fics I wrote. I appreciate the likes, believe me I do, but you have to understand. Likes do nothing for content creators. It’s the reblogs. Because that’s how you find shit on your dashboard. Through reblogs. Not likes. This isn’t twitter or tiktok or instagram. This is a website that’s run by the reblog system.
Reblogging helps content creators put their stuff out there. Why do you think so many people stopped writing fanfic and creating beautiful fanart and edits? It’s because they put in hours of work and don’t get nearly enough notes for their masterpieces. Yes we do this because we enjoy it but like...some validation won’t hurt. A boost of confidence here and there might be all someone needs to finish whatever thing they started and left.
Anyway, I’m still going to reblog my shit...

One More Rule (Pt II of Daddy Issues)

Summary: After your final fight, you and Billy went your different ways. But a summer in Hawkins reveals secrets about you he never knew.
Pairing: Billy Hargrove x fem!Reader, Steve Harrington x fem!Reader (platonic)
Request: Yes, from multiple anons
Warnings: Graphic violence, language, usual Stranger Things content
A/N: I got an overwhelming amount of asks for a part two to Daddy Issues, so here it is! I decided on a lot of twists instead of my original fic I had planned (hence why it took me so long to actually write it lol). Enjoy!
Summer of 1984, your first one free from that douchebag you regret to call your adoptive father. Who knew the hair Harrington would take a shining to you after the battle at the lab. Get you out of that hell hole, give you a place to stay, a good word that landed you a job at the local mechanics you still work at.
"Hey (Y/N)! Got a customer here, says he needs you to look at his Camaro." your boss yells from the front.
"On it, sir!"
Pulling yourself out of the hood of Hopper's busted pickup, you grab your rag and wipe off any grease you could from your arms and hands. Walking towards the front, your smile turns into a grimace when you see him.
Billy, fucking, Hargrove.
"What do you need from me, pool boy?" you ask as you cross your arms over your dirtied tank top.
"I just wanna talk,"
"So I'm pity enough to fuck now?"
"No that's not it-"
"Really, cause that's how it looks."
His nostrils flare as his temper is tested. You can't help but grin, your subtle jabs at his ego giving the wanted result. With a turn and a sigh, you grab your coffee cup from the front desk.
"If you'll excuse me, I have work to do."
"(Y/N/N), please..."
You stop before walking back into the mechanic's bay. Turning slightly to look at him, you see the sincerity in his eyes despite the macho display.
"Pick me up at Harrington's at seven. One drive, that's it. Don't you dare be late,"
You open the door, the squeak covering the sigh of relief that comes from him.
"I'll see you then. Nice tattoo by the way."
With a nod you walk back into the bay, gently rubbing at the numbers tattooed behind your ear before getting back to work.
Before you knew it, the analog clock hanging above your toolbox was at the six o'clock mark and your shift was at its end. Walking to the front desk, you clock out and say goodbye to Larry before driving back to Steve's.
Walking in the house, the smell of KFC fills the air making you grin, your stomach rumbling loudly. After kicking your shoes off, you make your way into the kitchen, gently tugging on a part of Steve's hair to get his attention.
"How was work, Harrington?" you ask as you grab a beer from the fridge.
"Boring as always, nuthin thrilling about scooping ice cream. What about you?"
"The usual, oil changes, safeties. Hargrove showed up though, gonna go on a drive with him in about an hour."
"Wait, wasn't he the asshole that told you that you were a pity fuck?"
"Yup,"
"So remind me why you're going with him?"
"I don't know, he seemed sincere enough." you take a piece of chicken and start walking upstairs. "I'm taking a quick shower so knock before you come in!"
"Yes ma'am!"
Once you finished your chicken piece you make your way into the bathroom. As you strip in front of the large mirror above the sink, your eyes scan over all the blackened scars cascading down your abdomen and circling your back. A constant reminder of your fight not even a year ago. A day that constantly plagues your mind.
Quickly turning from the mirror, you step into the steamy shower, a mix of relief and numbing pain crawling up your back and into the base of your neck. You follow your usual routine, making it snappy so you had time to make it downstairs to meet Billy.
After about an hour, you walk back downstairs. Steve lays on your shared couch passed out with the TV on. Quietly, you turn it off and gently lay a blanket over him with a small smile.
"You two dating or somethin'?"
You jump up, feeling the familiar tickle at the base of your neck ready to implode as you clench your fists. There stands Billy, the front door open with his body leaning against the frame, a toothpick highlighting his frown.
"None of your business," you mumble.
Grabbing your leather jacket, you push past him and walk towards his Camaro while swinging the heavy material over your shoulders. Slipping into the familiar car, you smell the bittersweet fragrance of cigarette smoke, (insert here). You hadn't let one touch your lips since moving in with Harrington, but damn did you miss it.
Billy slips into the driver's seat with ease, turning the car on and slipping in a mixtape that was all too familiar. Your handwriting had been slightly worn out, fading with overuse. It left a small spark in your chest that maybe this man beside you was still human.
Rock tunes fill the car as you speeding down empty streets and littered highways. Eventually, the awkward silence is broken by the two of you belting verses into the chilly air. A smile that hadn't graced your face in months appears and the light feeling in your heart returns. Because this to you was your happy place, your home.
Your little bubble is burst as Billy turns down a small street towards Motel 4. Something was off, you could sense it. Then that all too familiar tingle reappears at the base of your neck. Gently grabbing onto his bicep, you look at him, eyes full of fear.
"Get out of here,"
The tingle grows into a burn.
"What? Doll, we're fine driving down here."
"Billy, please trust me and get the hell off this road."
That's when you see it, and instinct takes over. Reaching your hand outwards, human flesh is overtaken my slimy skin as the car swerves. Just before the car flips, you feel the skin take over the rest of your body, rows, and rows of teeth filling your vision before everything turns black.
With a growl, your vision returns to you and the world's colour is now vibrant oranges, greens, and reds. Looking beside you, you see a black worm trying to crawl down Billy's throat. You quickly grab onto its ass-end and rip it away from him, throwing it through the already shattered windshield. Panic fills Billy's eyes as he tries to absorb everything that is happening.
Well, this should be interesting.
Reaching down, you bust the mechanism that holds the seatbelt, setting him free. With one punch you create a hole big enough for both of you to climb through in the roof, helping Billy through it before following after him.
He lands on the pavement, coughing from all the smoke that had overtaken the car in the little time he was still in it. You land beside him, shivering as your skin turn back to normal, the beast inside your returning back to the scars that litter your abdomen.
"What the literal fuck was that?!"
You sigh as you run a hand through your hair and begin to pace. How the hell were you even going to begin to explain this?
That's when that damn worm tries to make a sneaky escape into the surrounding forest. Quickly, you pick it up and examine the creature. A limb from an all too familiar being. Looking back at the Camaro, you see parts of its larger form covering the front of the car.
"(Y/N)?! You gonna answer me?!"
Without a second thought, you crush the limb into dust before walking back to Billy and helping him up.
"We have to get moving, I'll tell you on the way."
---
"So, this Brenner guy. He's dead, right?"
"Yeah, he's dead."
The two of you had been walking for hours, trying to make it back to the town centre. But, time passed quickly as you explained to Billy your secret. How you were one of the lab's experiments, how your father wasn't really your father, everything that the Upside Down was.
"And that skin you grow, it's part of a Demogorgon?"
"Yeah, I was a petri dish baby. They spliced my DNA with one of them and boom, I was made."
"Creepy," he says with a shiver.
As the lights of the town centre appear, you feel your chest tighten at the words you knew you had to say.
"Look, I know it's a lot to take in. You've got every reason to walk away and forget this night ever happened."
You stop walking and turn to look at him, trying to judge his reaction through his macho facade. But there was no sense of pride coming off of him.
"I ain't leaving,"
"Bil-"
"Just shut up for two seconds, alright?"
Crossing your arms with a raised eyebrow, you shut your mouth and look up at him expectantly.
"That night, I was a total asshole. And I didn't mean what I said."
You still stay quiet, urging him to continue.
"Look, what I wanted to talk about with you was about being friends again. I miss having you in my life or something along those lines."
You had to give it to him, he was trying to be vulnerable. It was hard coming from his situation, you knew that first hand. You slowly uncross your arms as you clench your jaw a little.
"You pull that shit again and I won't forgive you like this alright?"
"Totally fair, I'll watch it, promise."
"Hmm good, but I'm still making some ground rules," you say matter of factly.
"Yes, mom,"
You glare at him playfully as you begin walking back into town again, him following suit.
"Rule number one, no using me as a verbal punching bag when you're angry. Second, you leave Steve alone and you cannot terrorize the shit outta him."
"What is up with you and that guy anyway?" he interrupts.
"After the whole thing with the lab, I knew I couldn't go back to my adoptive Dad, knowing that he had helped that...bastard," with a deep breath, you continue, "Steve needed a roommate and I took him up on the offer. Strictly platonic though, he's too vanilla for me."
Billy simply nods, signalling you to continue with your rules.
"Alright rule number three, everything I told you tonight stays between us or the others. And if you ever see anything like that again, you find me immediately."
After that rule, a comfortable silence settles between you two as you walk through the empty streets of Hawkins. Once you make it to the house where Steve is still probably laid asleep, you turn towards Billy again.
"Sorry bout the car. Feel free to take mine for a while until you can find another one."
"Nah don't worry about it, I shoulda listened to you in the first place anyway," he says with a grin, making a small smile appear on your face.
"Can I include one rule though?" you hear him mumble.
"And what's that?"
"Always be honest with each other about what we are feeling. No more hiding feelings or shit like that."
"Okay, but why the sudden need for that rule?" you ask while your eyebrows softly furrow towards the centre of your face.
"Because I've been meaning to do this for a while,"
Before you could react, rough hands grab onto your hips and pin you against him, his lips colliding with yours in a bittersweet way. Smoke and your cherry chapstick mingle, causing a grin to break your lips from the intense lip-lock. It was rough, you had to admit, so you slowly make him stop as a blush reaches your ears.
"Nuh-uh, no more of that. Try it this way,"
Pulling him back towards you by the collar of his leather jacket, you softly kiss him again, taking your time to make it slow but sweet as he followed your lead.
"Okay, gross."
Both of you quickly break apart as you spin to look at Steve, his hair sticking up every which way, probably from tossing and turning on the couch.
"Sorry, sorry. I'll be in in a minute," you say with a nervous chuckle.
Steve closes the door with a grimace which makes Billy chuckle under his breath. You gently punch his chest.
"Remember rule number two,"
"I know, I know but I think he's a little butthurt I got you first,"
"Who said you had me?" you say with a playful smirk.
"Well, you tell me?"
"If you weren't such a macho asshole all those months ago you would've seen that you always had me,"
His jaw drops a little but quickly closes once you lay a kiss on his jaw.
"Pick me up again tomorrow," you throw him your keys. "Same place, same time Hargrove. Don't you dare be late,"
"Wouldn't dream of it, doll," he says with a grin before you disappear back into the house.
____
He was late. In fact, he didn't show up at all. You were too late that day to get the Mind Flayer's slug out of his throat. He still got Billy. Turned him into one of his minions.
And you made that fucker pay.
Now you stand, staring below you with a sniffling Max in your arms as you fight off your own tears. Gently rubbing her back, the events of that day replay in your head over and over. Damn did you feel drained.
"Thank you for saving my brother, (Y/N)."
But it was so worth it.
Because there he lay, passed out from the grueling surgery he had to endure when one of the Mind Flayer's arms punctured his gut. But he was lucky no more had gotten near him since you got there first, using your Demogorgon form to tear apart any other arms that tried to touch him.
"Any day, kiddo," you whisper softly into her hair.
It took days for Billy to wake up. Every waking moment you had, you sat in the same chair, holding the same hand, praying that he woke up soon. In private, you ensured you drained what little part of the Upside Down was still in him into your own body. Sure, it made your scar bigger, its traces crawling up your neck and peeking above your shirt, but you couldn't care less.
Exactly 6 days, 14 hours, and 23 minutes after his surgery, he woke up. The panicked look on his face was quickly wiped off when he saw your smiling face that had a hard grasp on his hand, small tears cascading down your red cheeks.
"New rule," you say in between sniffles. "You don't get to scare me like that ever again, asshole."
A soft chuckle comes from him in response, a weak squeeze around your hand making you grasp onto it tighter.
"Alright doll, I'll try my best."
With a soft smile, you gently kiss his hand and press it against your forehead. His hand shakes as it pulls out of your grasp and gently takes your chin in its grasp, making you look up.
"Ready to get out of this haunted town?"

Request: Yes
Warnings: Unless you're against fluff, no warnings.
A/N: Thank you for the request! Life has been busy but lots of fun thanks to the summer heat :). This prompt was perfect cause I need a break from the close to 4k angst fest I've been working on lately. Hope you enjoy @itspauvr !

Fuck the League of Villains.
Especially that Dabi kid.
The crew had resurfaced with newer, stronger Nomu, cascading in the night to cause the most chaos. This one must have had 8 plus quirks, using them all at random or together. To make things even more complicated - Dabi was hidden behind the beast causing more chaos. You could barely keep the Nomu at bay as Aizawa battled the kid.
By the time Endeavour and a very grumpy-looking Hawks had arrived, your head and abdomen were oozing blood from the multiple hits you had taken.
You worked with them, killing the Nomu just in time to watch your husband get knocked to the ground by the villain crew kid, hand ready to blast Aizawa's fast off in his flames of fury.
Without thinking, your hand reaches out, gripping onto the metal that lined the boys body and yanked him towards you. As you landed a solid punch to his face, his quirk activates and burns your from your shoulder down.
All you could remember before blacking out from the pain was sending a flurry of very sharp daggers into his back.
You woke up to a very pissed-off Aizawa.
"What the hell were you thinking back there, (Y/N)? You could have gotten yourself killed."
The firmness in his voice was one that was so similar to the one he used with his class, it made you chuckle only for it to be followed by a wince.
"I'm not one of your students, Shota."
"I know you're not. You're my wife, you're more important."
You smile as much as you can through the haze of drugs you felt pumping through your system. But you weren't too hazy to hear him mumble:
"Even though you're just as impulsive as them."
That earned a metal tray to the back of the head and another stern glare from Aizawa as you glared back at him with a quirked eyebrow.
"How about a thank you for saving your ass, hmm?"
Only a chuckle leaves his lips before leaning back in his chair and you smirk - knowing you won this fight.
Oh, how you were wrong.
As soon as you were home, Shota might as well have used his capture weapon to keep you in your shared bed. If you were busted out of bed by the time he was home from his classes you were in a ton of trouble.
He took the whole 4-weeks of rest a little too seriously.
While, yes, you were a bit bored throughout the day, it wasn't all bad. Eri would come in for cuddles with you and Shota every morning. She would snuggle carefully close you while she talked about everything and anything under the sun. Shinso would bring you lots of books to read from the school library he thought you would find interesting.
But the best was the weekends with Shota. After being integrated into Class 1A - Shinso had made a few friends that he didn't mind hanging out with or training on the weekends. And after lots of begging from Midoriya and Togata, Eri gets to spend some weekends with them at UA.
With the house to yourselves, Aizawa would bring home your favourite food, as well as some healthier foods (a man can hope) and climb into bed with you. You'd spend the weekends talking about future plans or watching cheesy comedy movies that made your husband groan. He truly didn't mind though, whatever he could do to put a smile on your face is worth it.
Eventually, though, you would fall asleep and he would sneak away to grade worksheets and papers. And every time without a doubt, you would waddle out of bed to join him.
"(Y/N), you're not supposed to be out of bed." he would grumble.
"The doctor said rest, not bed rest Shota," you say with a cheesy grin while grabbing one of his coveted red pens.
"Sitting up with your abdomen covered in bruises doesn't count,"
A glare is shot your way and you return it with a smile while tucking a stray piece of hair that had escaped his bun behind his ear.
"I promise I'm okay. I just want to spend time with you before the week starts all over again,"
He sighs and relents, turning back to his papers before portioning off a small section for you to grade. It only took 20 minutes of grading before you fell asleep at his desk. A rare smile graces his face before he lifts you back into bed.
After he tucks you in, he lays a soft kiss on your forehead before returning to his office.
Yeah - getting taken care of by Shota wasn't the worst.
Bonus:
After a few weeks, the doctor cleared you for any and all activities since you had fully healed. Let's say, you earned your punishment.
