the more i become invested in heather duke as a character the more i grow to dislike the musical because of it

she was just a girl and they character assassinated her for it

i'm absolutely going full on 'quit having fun, guys!' mode with this one but i just do not get the hype behind chansaw. i cannot see heather chandler willingly entering into a sapphic relationship during the movie's events (not that i disagree with any sapphic readings of the character; quite the contrary actually) and i feel like in order to make the relationship work you have to very deliberately mischaracterize chandler.

this may just be horrendously biased though because i am and always will be dukesaw's strongest soldier. that, and i feel like the 'toxic yuri' thing is the main hook for most people.
