I mean people say that Sherlock is the brain and John is the heart, but when it comes to emotions, Sherlock is the heart - wild, implusive, completely ruled by his triumphs and sadnesses, and John is the emotional brain - cool logic in the face of feelings, able to pack them away, compartmentalise, repress.

I read the article in the comments, I believe he just worded it poorly, he just seemed frustrated with people diagnosing Sherlock and other characters he’s played with autism (in both source interviews; I also wrote like a whole essay on diagnosing Sherlock with autism or Asperger’s at one point, I understand his perspective because headcanoning the character is one thing, and outright diagnosing the character canonically without substantial proof is another. That topic has been controversial for a while though.) And in the second quote of the article the commenter linked (second link), the person who excerpts him leaves out the rest of the context, he goes on to then explain his frustration with people expecting those with disabilities to just live life normally after their hardships with no help.

just seems mostly out of context imo, and this viewpoint will either age like milk or wine since so many celebrities turn out to be bad people, so I’m just praying atp 😟
