Sano "Mikey" Manjiro
You were at a fan signing event, signing CDs and albums for your fans while interacting with them. Mikey was on the side of the stage, disguised as a member of the staff, watching you in the distance as a way of showing his support for your career.
Mikey insisted on attending your event despite the fact that you both knew he had a shitload of gang-related work to do.
It makes you happy to know Mikey still prioritized you over work.
He made you feel as if nothing else mattered and that you were the most important thing in his world.
Everything was going well, and after you finished signing your last fan's album, you presented a short performance for the audience, singing and dancing the chorus of one of your most recent album's songs, and then said goodbye to everyone while thanking them for coming to your event.
Mikey stayed close to you, escorting you back to the car and blocking you from the swarms of fans who wanted to take pictures with you. You sat on the passenger seat and waited for Mikey. You saw Mikey whisper something in your manager's ear before going around the car so he could start driving for both of you home.
You smiled as you saw your fans bidding farewell through the black-tinted window on your side, their expression matching yours.
When the two of you left the event location, Mikey finally removed his disguise (black cap and facemask).
Mikey placed his warm, slender hands in between your thighs, caressing them before opening his mouth to say something.
"Had fun?" he asked while still keeping his eyes on the road.
You turned your head to grin at him.
"Yes! I had a lot of fun talking to them! They were so cute and so supportive of my new album~ Their gifts and accessories for me were also cute!" you exclaimed.
Mikey smiled softly, happy that you're satisfied with the event.
"Good," he said.
"Oh, right! Can we stop by a nearby restroom? I think I drank too much water earlier..." you mumbled.
"There's a McDonald's not far from here. How about we go through the drive-thru? While I order our food, you go use the restroom, and we can meet back in the parking lot?" Mikey suggested.
"Yeah. I'll have grilled chicken salad and water with no ice by the way," you said.
Mikey scrunched his brows in confusion.
"That's hardly a meal and that's not your favorite, love," Mikey said.
You frowned.
"I know. But the company I am working for is strict about my diet. Especially now since my concert is coming up in a few months or so," you said.
"I don't understand that whole diet thing going on. It doesn't sound healthy for your body," Mikey said.
You shifted on your seat, turning to Mikey.
"It's so that I will fit better into the beauty standards of the industry. Also, my contract might get terminated if I don't follow their rules," you said.
Mikey turned his head to glance at you with an unimpressed look before his eyes went back to the road.
You got out of the car while wearing a face mask and a hat to avoid people recognizing you and mobbing you. It was a good thing too that you were dressed casually and comfortably because it would have been difficult to blend in with the crowd.
Then you dashed to the restroom as soon as Mikey came to a halt. After a few minutes, you exited the restroom and went straight to the parking lot to meet Mikey.
You looked left and right for a familiar car, but to your dismay.
With a sigh, you reached into your pocket for your cellphone in order to contact Mikey.
Just as you were about to press the call button, you noticed a stranger staring at you from a distance.
You were startled and your instincts told you to run.
When the stranger realized you had caught them, they approached you.
That's when your feet started moving and you started running for your life.
You didn't know where you were going, you just ran.
Left, right, right , straight, you just wanted to lose him.
To stop him from following you.
You eventually came to a dead end, and to make matters worse, you were in one of the most secluded areas of the parking lot.
You whipped your body to face the man from behind you.
"Please...please, go away," you pleaded, your voice quivering as you realized you were crying. You were clutching your phone to your chest.
"You're y/n, right? I'm a big fan. I went to your fan signing event today, but I couldn't get in because I didn't have an entry ticket. I'm so glad I ran into you here, of all places," the stranger, or man, said.
He was only a few feet away from you, but you wanted him to go farther. You actually want him to disappear because he was giving you the creeps.
"Is it okay if we take a picture together? It would really make me happy!" the man took a step closer and you took a step back.
He noticed.
"Oh. Don't worry, I won't hurt you. I just want to take a picture to show my friends!" he said and took more steps forward.
Your breath hitched.
"Please! Stay where you're standing!" you exclaimed.
You quietly looked to your right to see if there was any way to get away from this man. You'd have to run now because you couldn't think of any other way to escape except to run.
"Hey now, don't be scared. Really! I just want to take pictures with you," the man was now three steps away from you.
Your breathing became heavier as your anxiety increased.
It's now or never.
You thought and then in a second, you turned right to run but-
"GOTCHA! HAHA!" the man caught you in his arms with a stronghold.
You screamed, your phone dropping to the ground.
"Let me go! Please!" you cried, wiggling out of his hold. Gripping his arms in protest.
You were about to give up hope because your only way out was now finished. You were sad and afraid of what was going to happen next until you remembered.
Mikey!
"MIKEEEY! HELP! MIKEEEY!!!" you screamed at the top of your lungs.
Fuck, you hoped Mikey was outside the car and heard your cries.
"Shit! You're so fucking loud! Shut up!" exclaimed the man. He then slammed you to the ground, knocking your hat off in the process, sat on you to keep you from escaping, and put a firm hand on your mouth to keep you from crying for help.
"Stop squirming, little bitch!" the man gripped your mouth harder.
You saw him grab something from his pockets and you couldn't identify what it was until the item glinted and you knew.
You tried to push him off but he was too heavy and strong.
The combat knife went inside your top and he ripped your shirt in half using the knife.
Why was no one arriving in this area!? Aren't there any CCTVs in here?!
You thought.
"I told you I'm a big fan of yours. I always jack off to your performances, I love those mini skirts you wear. Fuck, I was hard just seeing you from afar, and now that we're so close and I'm about to have my way with you, I could just cum any moment!" the man spat.
"Oh shit! I have to take a picture of this and send it to my friends!" he said.
Your eyes bulged. The man removed his hand from your mouth to quickly grab his phone.
"Please don't!" you pleaded.
The man ignored your words and he opened the camera. He pulled your mask down and he took a picture with you.
"Okay, now a video of us, why don't you moan for me, yeah?" the man suggested.
"NO!" you shouted and continued to try and escape from his hold.
"Fine, I'll just make you instead," he said and went back to ripping your shirt off after putting his phone on the ground.
You felt him struggling to unclothe you fully, so you used all your strength to snatch the knife from his hands and switch positions so that he was now on the ground, but you weren't as strong as him. You might have been able to hold him off if you weren't on a strict diet and ate a lot more food, but that wasn't the case.
It only took a minute before you felt the man about to ground you again so you stopped him by pushing his chest.
The man let out a painful groan and he lay on the ground there, groaning in pain until he stopped.
All the life from his eyes, draining.
When you slowly dragged your eyes away from his chest and saw the combat knife plunge into his heart, you realized why he stopped breathing.
You stood up and took a step back from the corpse in front of you, and there was a deafening silence that played in the background until it was broken by the ringing of your phone. The sudden noise startled you, and you flinched. You checked the caller ID to see who it was. Mikey.
--
You found yourself back in the car, sitting beside Mikey who was driving.
"There's a tissue inside the paper bag, can you get it for me?" Mikey asked.
You immediately shuffled to get it for him.
"Thank you," he said, taking it from your grasp. He sprayed alcohol on his hands and wiped them with a tissue before resuming control of the steering wheel.
"By the way, I ordered your favorite. French fries, nuggets, ice cream, soda, and everything else."
Meanwhile, you were at a loss for words when it came to Mikey. You couldn't understand him. He had an unreadable expression on his face. You're not sure if he's mad at you, which is why he's quiet and ignoring you. Only speak when absolutely necessary. Was he displeased with what you did? Was he fine with it? You had no idea.
When you arrived home, Mikey stayed the same. He was quiet. It drove you insane.
You bit your lower lip and hesitatingly called out to him.
"...Mikey?" your voice soft.
"Hm?"
"Are you mad at me?" you asked.
"No, why would I get mad at you?" he asked.
You frowned, staring into his eyes in search of lies. But there was none.
"T'was an accident, 'm sorry," you said.
Mikey stared at you.
"Why are you apologizing?"
Your lips trembled and your eyes watered.
"Because I feel filthy! He touched me, Mikey! It wasn't your hands, it wasn't you there on me, it wasn't you and I only wanted you to touch me! He had his hands all over me and I feel like he left an imprint on me, I feel so disgusting now and you're mad now and you're going to leave me because I'm so dirty. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry..." you wailed.
Mikey fell silent once more, and you were certain that everything you said was correct.
He was enraged and he agrees with you being filthy-
Mikey was encircling you with his arms. And, despite the fact that you and he had hugged many times before, his hug felt different. It felt like you were being shielded from everyone and everything that is cruel in this world. As if you were confined in a safe haven known as his love.
He drew closer to meet your gaze before lowering his head to kiss your lips, his hands around your waist to keep you close.
"I love you."
That was what the kiss said.
"I'm not going anywhere without you."
Was what his hands on your waist said.
"I've done far more disgusting and dirtier things, love. And yet here you are with me. And this thing that happened to you, is not enough to call you dirty. The man, who dared to touch you is," Mikey said, his grip on your waist tightening at the end.
"'m sorry I killed him too. I must've put you in a tight spot now because I did it in public...Oh, god, Mikey. What if someone saw? They'll tell the company, and we'll get in big trouble-"
"Love, don't worry about it. I'll shoulder all the clean-up," Mikey said.
And he really did.
Later that night, while you were fast asleep, Mikey went out to deliver something after making sure that no one knew what you did.
He was carrying a large paper bag in his hand as he walked. He came to a halt when he noticed the group he was supposed to meet with. The group recognized him and greeted him.
"Hey! Is this the order our friend got us?" one of them said as they approached Mikey.
Mikey nodded and handed them the brown paper bag. He watched them open it and see boxed foods inside, then he watched them happily eat the food. He overheard them praising the food as delicious and savory.
When the guy who had spoken to him earlier noticed Mikey wasn't leaving, he called him out.
"What are you still doing here? Isn't this delivery free? You can leave now," the guy said.
But Mikey stood his ground.
The guy clicked his tongue, annoyed. He walked closer to Mikey.
"Dude, you're getting on my nerves. Leave now," he said.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?!" one of the guys shouted.
The guy in front of Mikey turned his back to see the commotion.
"Jiko, ask the fucker that delivered this shit why the fuck is there a dick in our food!?" the guy said, holding up the box to show his friend.
Jiko's face fumed in anger as he turned back to Mikey.
"Did you put that shit in our food?"
"Ah, so you're Jiko. You're one of that asshole's friends in the chat that told him to cum inside my baby's tummy, isn't that right?" Mikey asked.
"What-"
Mikey kicked Jiko's chin, knocking him out cold. Or he could be dead. Does it matter?
He turned to look at the others and saw their ghostlike expressions.
"Your next meal is right there."
Haruchiyo "Sanzu" Akashi
"Y/n, can you cover my shift tonight? I'm having serious period cramps, I can barely move."
Your co-worker on the other side of the call asked.
"Uhm. I can't. I have to get home early tonight," you said.
"Oh, c'mon y/nn. I'll treat you as soon as I'm okay! Help me out, will you?"
"Er...I really can't, sorry," you said.
"Ugh. You're so boring, thanks for nothing anyway,"
Beep.
You placed your phone inside your bag. After cleaning up the place you worked, you gathered all your belongings and went to head home, to your parent's house.
You waited for a bus to arrive at a bus stop while scrolling through your contacts to see if you have any missed texts from someone. You clicked on Sanzu's name and went to text him.
: Hey babe. I just finished work. I'm heading to mom's right now.
You hit send and not a minute later you saw three dots indicating that he was texting.
Haru: I'll come and give you a ride.
: No, it's okay. I'm already on a bus anyway.
Haru: Why didn't you wait for me? :(
: Sorry, I was in a rush.
Haru: Why you gotta be?
You stopped responding to Sanzu as soon as a bus stopped in front of you. You got in, took a seat, and went to text Sanzu again.
: I have a lot of things to take care there.
: I'll talk to you later then. I love you. :*
You turned off your phone and sighed to yourself, resting your elbows on the windowsill to watch the scenery.
You honestly want to go somewhere other than "home". You were worried about who awaited you once you got off the bus.
Many people view their home as a safe haven where they can be themselves without fear of repercussions. They can let down their guard, relax, and lose themselves in the moment of relaxation provided by the place. However, unlike most people, your "home" had a completely different definition and was far from being a safe haven.
You grew up with an abusive father and a kind mother who you had no choice but to look after.
Your father, aside from being abusive, was also an unemployed bastard who was constantly drinking and smoking.
Your mother was the polar opposite of your father. She is a sweet woman who loves you completely. Your father always takes advantage of your mother, knowing she is weaker than him and more forgiving.
Despite your father's beatings, manipulations, and continuous abuse of your mother, your mother couldn't leave your father because she still believes he will change.
You got off the bus and went straight home as soon as it came to a stop.
You knocked on the door with your fist raised. Not long after, someone opened the door for you and smiled warmly.
"Baby, you're home!" your mother exclaimed.
You smiled back.
"Yes, mom. I am."
Your mother opened the door wider and urged you to come in.
"How was work?" she asked.
"It was okay, there were a lot more customers than usual," you replied while taking off your shoes, putting your things to the side, and entering the house.
"Oh, you just be exhausted then. Come, let's eat," she said and directed you to the dining room.
"You can sit here and wait while I call your father," she said.
You did as you were told.
While waiting, you took the time to check your surroundings. The house looks depressing as ever. Everything was dull. The colors on the wall, the paintings, the mirrors, the picture frames, and even the furniture. It was all because of your father.
Your father forbids anyone to repaint the house. He was the one who chose the interior design of the house and no one is allowed to change it but him.
"What time did you arrive?"
Speak of the devil.
The abrupt voice that interrupted your thoughts caught you off guard. You turned around to face your father. You immediately stood up and bowed in respect. You then responded to his question after raising your head.
"I just arrived, sir," you said.
"It's good that you're on time. How is school?" he asked and took a seat.
"It's alright, sir," you replied and sat down.
You watched him take a cigarette in his pocket and put it in his mouth.
"Pass me the lighter," he said.
Your eyes searched for the lighter. Was it right in front of you? Perhaps on the table? Your gaze was drawn to a small rectangle of metal. You grabbed it before handing it to your father. Your father smoked after lighting his cigarette.
"Where's that bitch?" he exhaled, smoke coming out of his mouth.
You knew he was talking about your mother.
"She went to look for you," you said.
Your father's side lip curled in annoyance before clicking his tongue.
"Go find her."
"Honey! I was looking for you-"
Slam!
You flinched as your father banged his fists on the dinner table.
"You fucking bitch. What took you so long?" your father glared at your mother.
Your mother's eyes were wide.
"I went to look for you."
"Whatever. I'm hungry, where's the food?" your father sharply asked.
Your mother scattered to the kitchen to bring the food to the table.
You helped your mother wash the dishes after the silent dinner before the three of you gathered in the living room to discuss family matters.
"Um, I paid the monthly bills in advance last week," you said.
Your mother smiled.
"Thank you, baby,"
You nodded.
"And I also set up an appointment for your monthly check-up. I also bought your maintenance pills and vitamins. Do you guys have enough food until the end of the month?" you asked. Figuring that you'll leave this house after a week to stay in your apartment again to continue your studies.
Your mother frowned.
"Sorry, baby. We only have 3 canned foods left and a few vegetables stocked," your mother said.
"Okay, I'll go grocery shopping tomorrow so we'll have something to eat this week, and then I'll order some food for stocking and have them delivered in a week or so...How is the refrigerator? Is it still in good condition?" you asked.
"Yes, baby. We had it fixed by the maintenance man yesterday. It's working fine now," your mother said.
"I want a new television," your father said.
You paused.
"Oh, did the T.V broke?" you asked.
"Yes," your father responded.
A new T.V? How can you fit that into your expenses? You barely have enough money to pay for your tuition in school.
"I think I can buy you that in 3 months," you said.
"3 months? That long?" your father said in a dangerously low voice.
You hesitated to reply.
"Yes...sir. I still have to pay my tuition next month," you said.
"Don't you have money to spare? I've seen you go around with a luxurious car," your father said.
"Honey-"
"Don't cut in the conversation, bitch," your father hissed at your mother.
"Go make yourself useful and bring me a beer," your father ordered your mother, who had no choice but to follow.
"Sir, that's my boyfriend's car. It's not mine."
"Borrow money from him then."
You were taken aback. You can't see yourself borrowing money from Sanzu for your parents. The last thing you wanted was for Sanzu to be caught up with your family issues.
"I can't...do that..." you trailed off.
"And why not? He's your boyfriend, it's fine. Plus it's for me anyway, I'm your father. It's only fair," he said.
"Is it?" you mumbled under your breath.
"What was that?" your father asked you.
You clamped your mouth shut and looked at him.
"Sir?" you asked, acting dumbfounded.
Fuck, you regret saying that out loud. Why did it slip off your tongue?
"Don't act like an idiot. You're acting dumb? You know what you said. Say it again," your father said.
"I don't know what you mean," you said, your voice small.
"DON'T LIE! I HEARD WHAT YOU SAID!" your father shouted.
You flinched and diverted your eyes from him.
You were lifted off the couch by your arm. Then you felt a harsh tug on your hair causing you to cry out in pain.
"You little shit, you're just like your mother. I raised you, fed you, put a roof on your head, got you into a good school, and this is how you repay me?! By being disrespectful?!" your father kept tugging your hair.
You heard a loud gasp and glass shatter.
"Y/n! (Father's name)! Stop it! Stop hurting her!" your mother rushed to pull your father from you but he was stronger.
Your father pushed your mother with great force that sent her flying against the wall.
Your mother's head slammed against the wall as a result of the sudden impact. You watched her eyes flutter as she tried to clear her blurred vision until her body fell to the ground.
"Mom!" you yelled, breaking free from your father's grip and sprinting to your mother's side.
Her skin was extremely pale, and your gaze shifted lower, from her face to her collarbone and chest. You could see new bruises and cuts from there. You averted your gaze, unable to bear that painful sight, and your gaze was drawn to her arms, where cigarette burns littered her skin.
"Leave her to die." your father said.
"She deserved it; do you know what a brat she was while you were gone? Can't take simple orders, always whining and crying," he went on.
You stood up and attempted to walk towards the phone to call an ambulance and the police, ignoring your father.
This shit ends now.
You thought.
But before you could get to the phone, you were yanked back by your hair in a harsh tug.
You screamed in agony as you fell on your butt on the ground.
"What the fuck do you think you are doing?!" your father bellowed.
As your eyes pierced him, your chest heaved up and down with rage.
"I'm calling the police and saving my mother, you abusive, selfish man!"
A hard backhand slap landed on your left cheek.
"You don't talk to your father like that, wrench!"
You had enough.
You grabbed the closest thing to you, charged at him, and repeatedly hit him. He fought with you, trying to get you off, but he couldn't take control of you because you were so enraged.
"YOU FUCKING BASTARD! DIE!" you screamed, repeatedly hitting him until his body fell to the floor, but you kept hitting him. You saw his face turn bloody, and eventually, he just lay there, no longer fighting.
Your eyes, which had been fogged with rage and hatred, gradually cleared as your mind processed the fact that your father was now...dead.
Because of you.
Fuck...
The item that you used to murder your father fell to the ground while you got up and walked away from your deceased father.
You could feel your heartbeat pounding in your ears.
You stood there, anxiously staring at his body.
What were you going to do? Should you call the police? No, wait. They'll figure out you murdered him. Is it better to bury the body right away or to clean everything up first? But your mom needs help too! You must call an ambulance to assist her, but doing so will expose your father's body.
If you took care of the body first, your mother would be in critical condition by the time you finished cleaning up before calling an ambulance.
"Fuck..." you let out.
Your thoughts are scattered.
You brought your hands to your face before stopping.
These are the same hands that killed your father.
They're dirty and disgusting, you need to wash them.
"Why am I worrying about my hands? I need to hide this body first. Fuck, if there was someone to help me-" you cut yourself off as a realization hit you.
Of course. How could you have forgotten? You had a boyfriend who dealt with these situations.
You shifted your position in an instant to grab your phone. You patted your clothes to feel for the device before pulling it out and dialing his number.
He picked up three rings later.
"Hey baby-"
"Haru, I killed someone."
There was a moment of silence before you heard him chuckle.
"Well, whoever you killed probably deserved it; in any case, I miss you."
You figured he thought you were joking.
This isn't the right time.
"I'm serious! It just happened so fast. I was driven by rage because he was being too much and the next thing I know he was lying on the ground, lifeless. Sanzu, please. I don't know what to do. My mother, she needs help too but-"
Tears welled up in your eyes.
"Please, 'ust come here...need you so bad,"
You broke down.
You waited for Sanzu to say something.
"I'll be there in 5."
The call dropped.
After 5 minutes, you heard a knock on the backdoor of the house. You went to see who it was, and when you saw Sanzu's face, your face relaxed into a relieved expression before lunging at him for comfort. Sanzu sighed and reached up to stroke your hair as you buried your face in his chest, sobbing. He then drew you both outside, where the freezing cold air met your body. Many footsteps were heard from beside you two as they entered the house.
Your brows furrowed as you looked up and saw men entering your home, and you looked to your lover for an answer.
Sanzu only smiled as he stripped away his suit to put on you. He then drew you close by the waist and kissed your brow before muttering,
"We'll leave it to them. You must be exhausted, let's go back to my place and get you some rest," he said.
You nodded as your exhaustion overtook you as soon as Sanzu pointed it out, and all you could do was lean on him, to which Sanzu responded by holding you to keep you stable before leading both of you to his car.
When he came to a stoplight while both of you were inside the car, him driving and you sleeping in the passenger seat with his suit serving as your blanket to keep you warm, he smirked menacingly.
"Oh, darling, I was going to get rid of your abusive father myself, but you beat me to it," he said, crazed but hushed.
He unlocked his phone, opened an app, and began watching a video. He chuckled as he watched the video.
"Fuck, baby, I didn't know you had it in you to kill him in such a brutal way."
After the stoplight turned green, he sighed dreamily at the phone and put it away.
He giggled.
"Your way of killing him reminds me so much of myself... this is why we're soulmates."
Sanzu said as he glanced at you.
"I'm excited to see this side of you again, and hope to be with you while you kill~" he sang.
Haitani Ran
When you saw the contents of your book tote, your lips formed a thin line. There was a lot of garbage inside. Gum wrappers, leaves, pebbles, an empty bottle, and crumpled papers are among the items found. You picked one of the crumple papers inside, opened it, and read it.
"You suck!" "Brown-nose!" "Just die already." "Fat bitch."
You sighed again, crumpling the paper and tossing it behind you. You took the garbages out of your bag one by one.
You cleaned your bag in a calm manner until you heard waves of laughter approaching from behind you. The laughter came from people you recognize, your classmates who pick on you.
You could feel them standing behind you. You noticed one of them looking at your bag.
"What happened to your bag?" your classmate questioned, his obvious fake interest easily discernible. You know he's the one who stuffed all this garbage into your bag.
You rolled your eyes and continued cleaning while sarcastically saying, "Obviously, it's trashed."
You could hear scoffs of laughter from behind you, and one of them mocked you by repeating what you said in a "hushed" and pretentious tone.
Your classmate who had earlier peered at you backed up but kept a close distance.
"You know what I think, you guys? Maybe the people who put the trash inside her bag thought it was a trash bin or something, but I can't blame them for making a mistake because that's obviously a fake and cheap knockoff of the real luxurious bag," he said.
The group laughed and agreed with him.
You turned to them, a look of annoyance on your face.
"What do you know about luxurious bags, Lance? You don't know jack shit, that's what. You can't even tell what's a real luxury branded bag because you've never had or held one," you retorted.
Lance frowned.
"That's what you think. Nobody cares what you think, you fat bitch. I know that shit is fake because you can't even afford a decent outfit, and your lunch money is only enough for a cup of water in our cafeteria." Lance said, pointing a finger at you.
"First and foremost, remove your cheap-looking nails from my face. Second, whether I'm wearing branded clothes or not, I can still pull them off. Unlike you, if you wear clothes worth my bag, you'll still look like shit. You're ugly like that."
You grabbed your book tote and dashed out the door. You could hear gasps and an enraged yell from Lance himself while doing so.
"I'll murder you! You, cunt!"
--
Fortunately, you did not run into your bullies again in school until it was time to go home.
You were walking on the sidewalk while going through your contacts to call your boyfriend. Once his name came into view, you smiled and instantly went to call him.
"Hey babe. What's up?"
Ran's sexy voice blessed your ears.
"Hi, love! I just finished school and I'm walking home right now," you informed him and continued walking, but your attention was drawn to Ran rather than your surroundings.
Ran hummed.
"I'm wearing the bag that you gifted the other day. I like that it's perfect for me to use to carry my books. Do you think they have this bag but in pink?" you asked, your eyes shifting to look to the side.
"Why don't we go to the store to find out?" Ran asked.
You giggled.
"That would be nice. I guess we'll go later then?" you asked.
"We could go right now," Ran said.
You furrowed your brows.
"Look up," Ran said.
You looked up as you drew your phone away from your face. Ran was standing in front of you, dressed comfortably, with his phone pressed against his ear.
You crossed your arms and smiled.
Ran chuckled at your action and stuffed his phone into his pocket after pressing the end call button on his phone. He approached you and patted your head when he was close enough.
You made it clear to him that you were checking him out by trailing your gaze from top to bottom.
"You look dashing," you commented.
Ran smirked.
"I gotta look good 'cuz I'm trying to impress you." Ran said.
You laughed.
"I will be impressed if you tell me how you found me," you said.
Ran walked alongside you, taking your phone to put it inside your bag, and then taking your bag to carry it. He then directed you to walk.
"Tracker. I saw your location and thought why not pick my baby up from school?" Ran said.
You looked at him with a look of complete disbelief on your face.
"A tracker??? Are you that obsessed with me?" you asked, your tone light.
Ran picked up your vibe and went along with it, "I'd kill anyone who tries to take you away from me or get in between us."
You giggled.
When you looked around, you were able to regain your focus.
"Where are we going?" you asked.
When you're with Ran, it's difficult to concentrate. When you're with him, you seem to lose focus on everything. The only thing that mattered to you was the moment you were with him; you wouldn't care if you were in a life-threatening situation; when you're with Ran, nothing matters except him and you.
"We're going to my ride. And then we'll go buy you stuff." Ran said.
Fortunately, Ran is aware of your bad habit. He sees your lovesick eyes and knows you can lose consciousness of what's going on when you're together. And he's perfectly fine with you being like this; it gives his ego a boost knowing you rely on him to help you catch up, to keep you in check, and that he has the power to detach you from reality simply by being with him.
You hummed.
Ran and you both stopped walking. "I need you to wait for me here while I turn the car around; I won't be long," he said to you.
You simply nodded. Ran kissed you before running the other way to get his car.
You smiled as you recalled your time with him.
I'm so in love with him.
Just when you thought everything was perfect, you noticed Lance approaching you, and your smile faded.
God, can this annoying little shit just disappear?
You thought. A sour expression on your face.
You noticed he wasn't accompanied by any of his lackeys.
"What do you want now?" you asked.
Lance had a dark look on his face.
"I want you dead right now for humiliating me back there earlier with my friends," Lance said.
"Oh, you mean your little twinks? You call those weirdos your friends? That's sad, really."
You faked a sad expression by frowning at him.
Lance only scoffed a smirk. You noticed he had something behind his back.
"What's that you're hiding? Your non-existent confidence?" you said.
"Fuck, you really annoying. It's good that I won't regret what I am about to do to you," Lance said.
"What-"
Everything happened in a flash. Lance took the bat he was hiding behind his back and swung it at you. Fortunately, you escaped just in time. But Lance didn't stop there; he swung at you again, this time with more force.
You could see his eyes as he charged at you. Eyes that are filled with hatred and clearly state that he intends to kill you. And with that, you prepared for his next attack. You anticipate his next move, which is to swing his bat at you. You grabbed his bat and kicked his balls just as it was about to hit your face.
You picked up his bat and swung it at him as he stumbled back, clutching his crotch. The bat struck his head, and he fell to the ground.
In an attempt to catch oxygen, your chest heaved up and down. You approached Lance's body to check on him. When you hit him, you used just enough force to knock him out. You intended to inform the police or the school about his attempted murder of you in order to have him expelled and finally leave you alone, but...
Wait...
What the fuck? He looks dead!
Blood was oozing from the back of his head, and his eyes weren't closed; they were wide open and lifeless. You were going to take his pulse.
"Don't touch the corpse," Ran warned you from behind.
As your body turned to Ran, you dropped the bat you were holding.
"R-ran is he...? Is he- dead?" you stumbled on your words.
Ran walked closer to you, his gaze fixed on the body in front of him. His gaze then shifted to the bat next to you.
"He is. The nail pierced his skull," Ran confirmed.
Your eyes knitted together.
"Nail? What nail?" your eyes were drawn to the bat beside you, where you noticed a nail hammered into the bat.
Your hand flew to your mouth in shock.
"Wait, I didn't mean to! I just wanted to knock him out because he was going to kill me!" you exclaimed.
Ran's arms snaked around your waist.
"Shh, I saw what happened, baby. Well, not everything. We'll talk about it later. First, I need you to get in the car while I make a few calls," Ran said.
You did as you were told.
--
From the passenger seat, you noticed a black car pulling up next to Ran and three men getting out. Ran said something to them that you couldn't understand, but then you noticed the man he was talking with bowed as Ran turned to walk towards you. Ran sat in the driver's seat and turned on the engine. He sped away from the crime scene.
When you were a long distance away from the crime scene, Ran swerved to the side of the road and came to a complete stop before smiling at you.
"C'mere," Ran said, motioning you to sit on his lap.
You crawled on his lap and sat, facing him.
Ran raised his head and placed his thumb on your chin, his other hand on your ass.
"You were so hot killing him. Now tell me all about it. How'd you feel? Who was he?" Ran asked.
Before you could answer Ran continued.
"I've got to get you a baton; I think we'd look good swinging that shit and killing people together, yeah?"

okay hear me out again.
needy and angry tate langdon. quick fucking in a corner of the house.
"Tate...wait.. my dad is in the next roo-....gh.." you try to articulate as tate speed up his wild thrusts, his warm breath on your neck and his shaky whimpers caressing your ears. "I'm sorry... i'm sorry i need...i need it...". you put a hand on your mouth, squeezed between the wall under the stairs and tates aroused body. he was so good. he was so fucking good. you loved it so much when tate was angry. he totally let himself go and always count on you to help him. he pulls his head back slightly to press his forehead against yours, moaning in pleasure as quietly as possible. "your dad...he told me i was afraid...of rejection..." he whispers between two moans, his hands squeezing your waist. "I think he's right..." you answer, panting, your lips sticked to his. He raises his head, his dark eyes half hidden by his fluffy blond hair, staring at you as he pound you more and more. "you'll never... reject me, right ?" you grabbed his hair and kissed him wildly, stifling one of his moans. "if i dare to do it one day... i allow you to kill me" you whisper weakly against his lips, his eyes locked on yours, feeling the orgasm coming for you two. tate let out a groan as he cums with you, his seed filling your shivering body. "...then...you are warned." he says finally, breathless, holding you tightly as he catches his breath while you come back to your senses, his lips caressing your right ear with simple words . "never leave me. ever."
since today is jason’s birthday, could we have a soft scruffy!verse drabble abt reader getting him a small meaningful gift (maybe something in relation to their childhood??) and giving him a kiss on the cheek? 🥺👉🏻👈🏻
"Hey Y/N," Dick yelled, "Are you coming? "
"Yeah just a second!" You half turn and dig through your bag, hoping the package is still intact.
It had been a long day, what with being kidnapped and all on what was supposed to be a quick trip home.
And when you looked up, having found it intact, tucked safely in the pocket where you'd tucked it that morning you smile before holding it out to Jason insistently.
"I said I didn't want-"
"And I ignored you. Now stop being a baby and open it," you order, mock glaring at him.
"Y/N-"
"Come on, you chicken. I promise it's not that interesting."
"It doesn't look big enough to be something that bites," he allowed, taking it and looking away. Cheeks heating. He really wished his family OF DETECTIVES could be more discreet about watching the goings on. But out of the corner of his eye, Steph and Cass are practically vibrating with glee. Over your right shoulder Tim looks like he's watching an experiment. And just slightly up the steps he knows Bruce and Alfred are probably trying to plan an engagement party. And you don't even like him like that.
It's a little humiliating if he's honest. But he can't tell you 'no'. Not when you look at him like that. All wide eyed and grinning at him. So he ripped the brown paper off carefully and for just a moment. His heart stuttered.
"You would remember that," he said smiling a little, as he looked down at the copy of The Once and Future King. It's a discarded library copy, and out of curiosity he paused. Flipping to the slot where a paper card would be, only for his heart to ache.
This wasn't just a copy you'd picked up at a library fundraiser. This was THE copy. The one he borrowed so many times that he knew every creased page like he knew the scars on his knees.
His untidy little kid handwriting- like finding a message in a bottle. And at the bottom- his mom's handwriting. He'd almost forgotten what it looked like. But as he traced his finger over it all he can do it blink at you for a second.
What fuckery you'd pulled to find it, he didn't know. But he doesn't know what to say.
And he's even more at a loss for words when you stand on his toes to kiss his cheek, "Happy Birthday, Jaybird."
As he stands there with his cheeks burning and his chest aching, feeling like an idiot for not saying anything all he can do is tuck the book into his jacket pocket, and try not to regret not kissing you stupid.
What led to scruffy!Reader's bipolar diagnosis? Any specific event that happened ?
"Oracle?"
"What's up?" Babs asked half turning in her chair to look at him, "Can you pull up Y/N's location?"
"Why?" she asked, already typing.
"I- we- I just want to know where she is. She was pretty mad at me when she left my apartment and she won't pick up the phone."
"Jason."
"Please?" It's how small his voice is that does it. How unnerved he looks. You always answer- even if it's a text to ask him what the fuck he wants.
Barbara starts typing, tracking where you'd been through places that your phone had pinged and frowned. "Over on 82nd... Looks like an Alley?"
"That's not- it's 4am," Jason said, "God-"
"I'll start calling hospitals," Barbara said. "I'm sure it's not-"
"She told me she wasn't on drugs," he said, his voice hardly a whisper. "She told me-"
"It might not BE that," Barbara reminded him. "She could have lost her phone, or it was taken."
Jason shook his head and turned, going to see if anyone would help him look for you. In his mind's eye he could see you. Talking a mile a minute. Like you couldn't keep up with the thoughts in his head. Everything was rushed. Some of it was just straight-up delusional, telling him that you were going to find god but you had to sell your guitar for a bus ticket? Because you had to go to Tacoma? And then telling him God wasn't real but you still had to look because it was the only way to finish school? And then asking him to take you to get ice cream. He couldn't even REMEMBER all the things you said. But he could remember the fury. How Angry you got when he asked you what you took. And it made his stomach turn.
_____________
When the nurse came back to the desk, Jason bolted to his feet and Bruce put a hand on his shoulder to steady him, "Is she-"
"I'm sorry, Mr. Wayne," she said, "She said she doesn't want to see anyone."
"But-" Jason started to protest. You had to see him. He had to talk to you. He had to know.
The nurse could only shake her head, "She was adamant," the woman said.
Bruce nodded, "Can you at least tell us she's okay?"
The nurse weighed her options and held up a finger, gesturing for them to wait before pulling a file and rifling through it quickly. "There's a release form in here for Jason-"
"That's me," Jason blurted, "Can you- what even happened how-"
The nurse sighed, "Someone called dispatch about a woman walking barefoot by the side of the road in shorts and a t-shirt. Said she was really friendly, just said she was lost and not sure how to get home. Her feet were pretty cut up. And it was cold out. So a beat cop picked her up and dropped her off at General. She was delusional and exhausted. Dehydrated. And so they put her on a 72-hour hold."
"Jesus," Jason breathed.
"But," the nurse said, "She IS safe. And she's gotten a little sleep."
"Will you tell her," Jason exhaled slowly, "Tell her I'll be here to take her home?"
The nurse smiled a little. Placating him. "Of course."
And Jason nods, turning and walking out the doors, leaving Bruce to smooth things over. To tell the nurse to call him directly if there was anything you needed. Because Jason can't breathe. He can't think. He feels like he's gonna be sick.
You needed him. You came to him because you were struggling. And he basically just... Shut you out.
"Jason," Bruce said softly, "You couldn't have-"
"I could have not accused her of being high," Jason snorted. "I could have helped-"
"You don't know that," Bruce said carefully. "Just- wait until you talk to her?"
"Yeah," Jason sighed. "Probably a good idea... What the fuck happened to her shoes? She was wearing shoes when left."
Best friend reader and Jason as kids?
Batman noted he was going to have to work on Jason's awareness.
The boy had never once noticed him since he'd gotten off the bus, making his way steadily to his old neighborhood. He had a destination in mind, that much was sure. It was a path he'd walked hundreds of times.
But it wasn't until he stopped under an apartment window, picking up a handful of gravel and tossing it gently up to tap the glass. Bruce blinked for a second when a girl's face- a girl about Jason's age, appeared in the window.
She too, looked malnourished, her clothes were old and worn, the fabric thin in spots from laundromat abuse. But when she tackles Jason, wrapping her arms around him in a hug. Bruce feels himself melt, just a little. Jason's every guard fell down and he kissed her on the cheek- a last little vestige of childish innocence. Not remotely adult, an impulsive gesture of affection.
He listened in the shadows of the rooftop, after Jason checked to make sure you were alone. And while he didn't explain about bing Robin. Or Bruce being Batman, he explained how he came to live at the Manor. Why he'd disappeared.
"How'd you know they're not looking for you?"
Jason shrugged, getting into his knapsack and pulling out a jacket. A new red one. The material still stiff and the zipper still shiny. "Not your problem," he said. "Take this," he said. "It's too small. And it's getting cold."
"Jay-"
"No one's gonna notice," he said, "C'mon you chicken."
Bruce can't see the look you give Jason, but his grin is telling enough as he quickly takes your old jacket from you and pushes you to put the new one on- and then the look of satisfaction when some of your intermittent shivers slow.
"I missed you," you tell him, a thank you that isn't a thank you. But Jason hears it all the same.
"I missed you too," he answered. "How's your mom?"
"She's mom," you snort. "But I made enough to pay rent. So I just gotta move my stash and hide it better."
Jason nodded, "Did you eat? I can't stay long I just wanted to-"
"Yeah. Picked up at Chow's running food- tips and some fried rice for a few hours of riding."
Jason nodded again and checked his watch, "I gotta-"
"It's okay," you answer, hugging him. "Be good. Or at least be careful."
"I will," he promised, hugging you back and burying his face in the crook of your neck.
And Bruce smiled a little. What was on more tuition? Maybe if he put you at the Academy with Jason is would make things a little easier- and he'd be lying if he said he wouldn't enjoy the headmaster being given a run for his money. The man was a frightful snob.
