Watching that ep—just letting the realization sink in

stan in “gideon rises” always fucks me up, especially the moment when he looks through abuelita’s empty kitchen and knows what he has to do for dipper and mabel.

because he remembers what it was like to be scared and hungry—what it was to struggle after being kicked out of his own home—and he’ll be damned if he lets that happen to his kids too.
