barry steakfries jetpack joyride he's so babygirl i love him so much babygirl in like a soppingly wet masc way if that makes any sense..... the point is he's adorable cutest salesman in the whole world <3 my man looked at a window once and his entire life was instantly changed forever also i like how in the trailer the music is exclusively made up of jazz instruments until he breaks into the lab and then it becomes electronic jazz when he puts the jetpack on i just thought that was a really cool way of using music to differentiate pre-jetpack barry and post-salesman barry while still having them be the same guy cause like the jazz music is more traditional and slow for salesman barry cause at this point he's just Some Guy™ selling gramophones he doesn't really have too much that's special about him and he's down in the dumps and glum so the music reflects that and then when the main theme kicks in it's like it's barry's freedom and the wild spirit he's always had inside him in music form it's still got that traditional touch but it's also swingy and techy and energetic now that he's expressing himself by operating extremely dangerous machinery and generally being the chaoslord he's always wanted to be i really like it it's neat i have a headcanon that the home theme is salesman barry's leitmotif and the gramophone at the lab's entrance is LR's sweet yet subtle way of reminding barry of his roots

i was having a peek at the JJ discord's messages, and one of the users posted about this website that has music from the PSP version of Jetpack Joyride that includes this seemingly unused track, simply titled 'Music_Casino'. it's apparently meant for the slot machine, and it sounds a lot like one of the many early drafts for the JJ main theme. it's a really cool find that i want to share here!

barry steakfries jetpack joyride this website reminds me of khinsider they both have a ton of VGM uploaded on there except khinsider has FLACs as well isntead of just mp3s i'm so happy we're finding more unused/unreleased JJ stuff i'm a huge nerd about unused stuff in video games so i'm really excited to find out about more unused stuff related to a special interest of mine yes JJ is one of my special interests now i think it qualifies as one so it is there's also some equalised versions of the songs on this site for when you're in the menu and such i haven't seen those uploaded anywhere to my knowledge..... yet i thought the equalisation was just an effect that gets put on them in-game but no they're separate they sound pretty cool actually :D it's like you're a scientist listening to the madness from outside the lab anyway yeah :) music_casino bangs

going on the "do not derail" tag on tumblr is really funny sometimes because a lot of them will be a post that says something seemingly random like "asshole trumpet solo brmp brmp" or something, and then the tags will be like "THIS POST IS ABOUT THE SOCIETAL AND CULTURAL IMPACT OF DANTE'S INFERNO!!
