Fun fact about me: Because I was born with autism, when I was a baby, it didn't matter if I was dead asleep, distracted by a toy, or whatever, whenever my mom needed to go to Walmart, I would absolutely scream my head off as soon as she pulled into the parking lot and I wouldn't stop until we drove home, due to the fact that I hated bright lights, loud noises and strangers. It frustrated her to no end. Plus, my mom had twins and she would always have people come up to her to ask questions like "Are they twins? Are they identical? Did you know you were having them? Which one is older? Did you have them naturally? Have they ever done anything at the same time?" So irritating.

Here, Splinter is trying to get some shopping done, and most of his kids are cool as cucumbers, except for his autistic one. Splinter gets so frustrated when he's trying to get errunds done, but Donnie is having none of this. This was before he found out that Donnie has autism, before he would think that he was just fussy, and he would try everything. He tried making sure he was fed and well rested before the trip, didn't work. He tried to give him a toy to distract him, it didn't work. He tried to put pacifiers in his mouth to get him to quiet down, it didn't work. He tried to wear him with the baby carrier to make him feel close and hopefully calm him down, it didn't work. He tried to feed him or change him before they went in, thinking that was why he was crying, it didn't work. He resorted to just bearing through it until they left, when Donnie would magically stop crying.

Today's my 27th birthday, so I made my second AO3 story birthday themed.

These aren't OCs, per say, but they're my versions of Jennika and Venus. Jennika is a black-knobbed map turtle, and Venus is a pink-bellied side neck turtle. Here's the outfits they would wear during the show. Let me know if you want me to do a part 2 of this.

These are the outfits they wore when they first appeared in the franchise. Jennika wore her iconic black and grey outfit in TMNT #51, where she was a member of the Foot Clan. In my version, she was Big Mama's assistant. Venus wore her brown cloak at the end of the 1st episode of TMNT: The Next Mutation.

I gave Jennika a nightgown, and yes, she keeps her dagger on her even when she sleeps. Venus was raised in China in The Next Mutation, so she wears traditional Chinese clothing, like this set of sleepwear. Like Raph with his retainer, Jennika wears a mouth guard to bed. Venus puts a face mask on her face before bed to keep her skin moist.

I had practice making Masquerade masks in the past year or so, so this was fun.

Like Raph with his iconic white and pink outfit, Jennika wears a nice outfit fit for a tomboy like her: jeans, white shirt, yellow half-snow jacket, beanie, and boots. Venus is slightly more girly than her sister, so she wears a teal and pink tank top, a green and mint skirt, and high heeled sandals.

In "Hypno! part Deux", Raph and Leo wear a football uniform and basketball uniform to blend in, but I think Jennika and Venus have a more subtle approach with cargo pants, sneakers, and a fashionable top for Jennika, and a somewhat normal schoolgirl attire for Venus.

In "Air Turtle", Jennika wears a yellow snapchat shirt with overalls and a black beanie and Venus wears a soccer outfit, because Venus likes soccer.

When they decide to join the game to defeat the demons of the Arch of Aquinnah (I had to look up how that's spelled), Jennika is down for basketball, while Venus is more geared towards being the cheerleader. Venus is a mystic warrior and focuses more on meditation than fighting.

These are the outfits I picked for them for "Snow Day". I had to remove their shells for this one, because in that episode, you can't see Raph's shell, so the animators probably removed it to make it seem like his clothes fit. Jennika would be on Raph, Leo and Mikey's team when it comes to which Jupiter Jim movie is the best, whilst Venus is on Donnie, April and Mayhem's side.
