I love you handmade toys, I love you tiny pillows made by someone's grandma, I love you ornaments passed down for generations, I love you dog shaped bookshelf my great grandfather made, I love you vintage rabbit dolls that were made to last decades and decades, I love you sweet little heirloom objects tucked away into homes that bring joy whenever you see them I love
oooh, I went out and about today by myself and had a REALLY lovely time exploring! I specifically wanted to pop into a local quilt shop that I've never been in—if you're familiar with local crafting shops you know they have wildly limited hours lol—and had a little chat with the staff! They carry Ruby Star Society fabrics which I was jazzed to see, even though it was slim pickings. I love LOVE RSS fabrics, the colors are just!! *chef's kiss*
Afterwards I ambled around the plaza and found an awesome little art store that is like? A thrift store/art supply/consignment combo and WOW. It was just stuffed to bursting with all kinds of bits of art supplies for like, $1 each. ONE DOLLAR. In this economy? And it was virtually all things that people would have otherwise thrown away despite it being perfectly good.
L i t e r a l l y filled a tote bag with fabrics ends and scraps, a ribbon, and trim, and beads. All exactly what I am looking for, and in the quantities that I'm looking for, to keep practicing making animal dolls.
I am JAZZED out of my little mind about this new goblin hoard of fabric!! I can make things! I can experiment with tricky, slippery fabric and not be terrified about wasting a ton of money! I have so many new, inspiring colors and pattern to put together into wee little rompers and bows and bags. ; u;

platforming palestinian joy is just as important as sharing the suffering they're enduring during this genocide. despite continued displacement and bombardment, you cannot steal their joy and spirit. happy birthday to this sweet baby 🖤🇵🇸 may they grow up to see a free palestine

First sale in the shop was one of these This Barbie Bites buttons :)
Warn everyone that you're ready to stick your canine teeth in the side of their neck!
